This book got me out of a reading slump! I was DNFing books left and right and didn't think anything could cure me at this point, but this did the trick. ;)
Max is on the run from her abusive fiance and her family who thinks she should basically just marry him and deal with it. She ends up finally settling down in a small coastal town and finds a job as a bartender.
In walks a group of guys who look like motorcycle riders.. which they are, but they're also all part of a local MMA gym and as soon as they spot the new girl in town bartending at the bar they frequent, she has all of their attention.
Max is pretty much sick of men at this point since she just got out of an abusive relationship, but she also had shared with her now ex fiance that she was craving something "more" and when she shared those dark fantasies with him he shamed her. Now these men that have their eyes on her want to give her everything she wants, well.. whether she wants them to or not (but she does, however, she tries to deny it at first).
This story does leave off on a cliffy, but I am excited to learn more about the MMCs backstories and cannot wait for what happens next!

Absolutely devoured this book TWICE. I got the pleasure of beta reading this book for Madi & then I did a reread when arcs were sent out. Loved it so much!!
This is a dark romance, MMA, why choose that held my attention the whole time. I loved every single character in this book.
Max, our FMC is fleeing from her old life that was filled with so much evil and torment. I loved her character because she was fearless and a spitfire. She stumbles upon Uncaged gym where she meets our 3 DELICIOUS MMC’s.
Y’all, the men in this book. Omg. All three are obsessive, but they each have their own unique personalities which I ate up.
Caine. This man is the definition of absolutely unhinged 🤣 He sees Max and basically says “she’s mine.” No more questions asked. Hahah I freaking love him so much. He does some questionable stuff but all with love & protectiveness over her. It’s just in his own Caine way lol. He also… is NOT a fan of sharing….👀
Drew. This sweet angel man. He is the sweet and charming cinnamon roll in the group. But that doesn’t mean this man isn’t filthy. And he’s also got his dick pierced. I mean, say less.
Adam. Coach Adam. DADDY fucking Adam. I’m an age gap hoe, so duh of course I immediately latched onto him 🤣 He is the coach at Uncaged and the most level headed one out of them all. But he’s also got darkness inside of him that comes out and it is HOTTT. Did I mention he’s also covered in tattoos? Yeah. RAW. Next question.
The pacing of this book is quick, the plot is suspenseful, and the romance is chef’s kiss. And the spice? If you’ve read Madi’s previous books, you already know she delivers. There’s MF, MM (you’ll want to read to see who), and group scenes that are HOT AF.
There’s a cliff hanger that will definitely crank up your anticipation for the second book.

Hello, hi, yes, this is the girly that has publicly said numerous times that why choose is not for her and she won’t ever like it…. WELL lemme just tell you… this book…. 5/5 stars. I am obsessed and unwell.
I mean like the darkness, the men, the tragic pasts, THE SPICEEEE. This is going to absolutely be one of my husband’s favorite books he has never read. LOLL
Man obsessed??? But make it 3 men that are professional fighters at a local gym.
The cliffhanger this ends on had me falling out of my chair and screaming I won’t even lie.
Can’t wait to dive into Uncaged Obsessions.

When I came across the tropes for this book, I couldn't sign up fast enough! Dark MMA and a why-choose romance? How could I resist? I had no idea this was a duet, so now I have to wait for the next book, but I have zero regrets! This story is so hot, delicious, and sexy. It has a variety of kinks and just the right amount of suspense to keep me hooked. Max, the FMC, comes from a wealthy family but has endured a lot of verbal and physical abuse from her parents and fiancé. She finally decides enough is enough and runs away to a small town. On her first day bartending, she meets three incredibly hot, tattooed MMA fighters: Adam, Caine, and Drew.
I love Max! She’s strong, brave, and resilient. For so long, she’s followed what everyone else wanted her to be, but when she realizes she can’t live like that anymore, she makes a plan to take her life back. In the new town, she wants to focus on herself and do what makes her happy, without being tied down to anyone—at least not at first. But as the three guys pursue her, she starts to enjoy the attention.
"It doesn't matter if they chase me through the woods, hold me down, and fuck me to the point of madness. I'm the one in control."
What I enjoyed was how distinct each of the three MMCs is. Caine is the youngest and the most unhinged. The moment he lays eyes on Max, he’s determined to make her his. His obsession is intense, and even though some of his behavior raises a few red flags, I loved it so much! Then there’s Drew, the sweet one. His approach to Max, wanting to take her on a date, is so endearing, though he has his dark history and kinks as well. Adam is the oldest and the owner and coach at Uncaged. He tries to keep his distance at first, but when Drew suggests sharing her, he doesn’t hesitate to step in.
That cliffhanger though! OMG, it left me desperate to read the next book! I can’t wait to learn more about all the characters and their backstories. If you enjoy dark why-choose romances, this is a book you shouldn’t miss—but don’t forget to look out for the trigger warnings!

I’m very clearly in the minority when I say I didn’t enjoy this book but I really really didn’t enjoy it.
I was excited for this book, I love it when you have a tattooed psycho and a sweeter FMC but the characters are drab, they’re badly written and I just could not get invested. The spice scenes are okay, but something about them comes across as cringey.
For the life of me I cannot understand why 3 guys would be obsessed with max, she’s so dull and her internal dialogue is tiresome, a spoon has more personality than her. Besides her ‘nightmares’ she doesn’t really come across as an abused FMC but she’s constantly going on about it and how she wants to be her own person, her own boss. I mean personally if I found a strange guy in my house after fleeing my abuser, standing up to them and waiting for it to happen again probably wouldn’t be my first move - I’d have fled in the middle of the night to someplace else.

If you love why choose and some darker elements in your romance, you are going to eat this book up! It gets 4.5 ⭐️ from me!

Madi definitely gave us some good spice and I'm 200% here for it. While we see glimpses of our MMC's backstories, I do hope we get a bit more in book 2 to further explain how they ended up where they are!
It does end on a cliffhanger, so now I will not so patiently be waiting for book 2 lol.

Ik twijfelde of ik dit boek in m’n Goodreads ging zetten (dit boek is pure porno en daar schaamde ik me voor maar jullie doen het er maar mee) maar aangezien dit het enige boek is dat ik heb gelezen in Maart en ik graag m’n challenge haal moet het maar.
Ik geef het 1 ster. Het was niet goed ofzo, niemand heeft enige persoonlijkheid. Ik haat het ook gewoon als er iets slechts gebeurd en dat de persoon er dan alleen op uit gaat. Doe ff niet zo dom.
Ik snap ook gewoon niet waarom al deze mannen obsessed met haar zijn? Omdat ze direct is en soort van een bitch is? Loop een rondje door Amsterdam anders.

Dang that was hot as hell! I haven’t met a why choose romance that I haven’t loved and this one was no different.
Madi changed that game though! Instead of all of the men being down to share, you have a little “friendly” competition. And by “friendly” I mean Caine threatening to k!ll Drew & Adam regularly.
This book was full of alpha men, that are obsessed with Max. I am feral for a man obsessed especially when it’s multiple men. Also loved the explosive chemistry between Adam and Drew. That was a fun little addition that I didn’t see coming.
I can’t wait for book 2! This cliffhanger was so good and now I’m patiently counting down the days.

If there’s anyone that can get me to read a dark romance book, and like it - it’s Madi Danielle. This genre is not a favorite of mine but I love Madi so I gave it a chance and wow was I not disappointed! This was just the right amount of dark for me.
I absolutely loved the chemistry between Max and all three guys. They all had their own unique connection, but the way they all eventually made it work was the perfect mixture.
I really loved how Max came into her own and the strength she showed throughout the book. She knew she wanted better for herself and that’s exactly what she did. She didn’t let her past control her the way it once did.
All three guys were so different but all so hot 🥵 Caine was just every bit the controlling asshole you wanted him to be but still I saw his sweet and caring side and LOVED every second of it! Drew was just hot. He was like the perfect mix of sweet, spicy and dominating. And Adam was the perfect daddy in all ways!! He was a welcome surprise for sure.
The cliffhanger this book leaves us on is just not fair, and I’m not sure where Madi is going to take us in the next book, but I’m excited!!

That being said, once you green light the trigger warnings, get ready for the 3 most obsessive and delicious MMCs you’ve ever read.
Our FMC, Max, has runaway to Seaside, Oregon to escaped an abusive fiancé and an oppressive high-society family who have suffocated her existence. That’s where she quickly throws herself into a bartending job, eager to make a fresh start and runs into Caine, Drew and Adam - three mixed martial arts fighters who live and breathe all things MMA and quickly develop an obsession with Max.
Let’s just say things escalate quickly between the three 😂
Caine is certifiably unhinged in his efforts to get Max to singly commit herself to him. While Adam, the owner of their gym, Uncaged, and Drew both develop their own attractions and each take different approaches to building a “relationship” with her. I use relationship loosely, as the majority of their attractions are mostly obsessions from the guys and curious interest from Max.
But as they put her in more and more debauched circumstances, pushing her sexual limits and exploring a side of her she never thought she could experience, her entire life view shifts and she realizes she’s finally experiencing the freedom she so desperately craved in her former life.
Of course, just as soon as it seems these three have a comfortable rhythm together, the bottom drops out and we are left with one killer cliffhanger, leaving us BEGGING for the next chapter of their story.

Wooo buddy this was a wild ride and I am here for it 👏🏼 I ate this book up in under 24 hours, I couldn’t put it down. I have been reading more why choose books lately and & this one pulled me in from the very beginning.
Max is hands down one of the fiercest, feistiest FMCs I have read in a while. I absolutely loved her so much. She’s fleeing from her old life and desperately wanting to start over. Just wants to lay low in the small town she ran to but caught the attention of not one, but THREE men who are absolutely some of the most obsessed and unhinged men ever.
Caine, the most unhinged of them all. Completely obsessed and possessive over her and has no intentions of sharing her. I mean all the green flags right? Add in some stalking & other questionable things too but we still love him, lmao.
Drew, my sweet angel baby. The softest out of them all but don’t let that fool you. He still is every bit obsessed with her AND he’s pierced 🫠 I wouldn’t cross him though.
Adam, if you know me I cannot stand a daddy kink but he is giving BIG daddy vibes with the age gap in this book. He has a dark past we don’t know much about. Completely tatted up and the salt and pepper description of his hair, yes please 👏🏼
This book had me quickly going from chapter to chapter so quick. I loved the little bit of suspense in this book that left you wanting more at the end of this book that set up for the second book in this duet perfectly. The spice in this book 😮💨 chefs fvcking kiss 👏🏼 Mix between MF, MMF and MMFM and they all turned up the heat.
The cliffhanger at the end of the book was a SOB but makes me so excited for the next book!

This book is a spice over plot book, which usually doesn’t bother me. However, the book fails to give enough background on characters that you lack an emotional connection to them. You get pieces of information like foster care, abusive homes, and terrible father figures. Only they are just pieces and not enough information to make you fall in love with the characters.
Despite all that! I did enjoy Drew who is pierced and calls her “little one” I just wished we got more flashbacks to his life. I also liked getting to know Adam and his little conversations with his snake, Athena. Those scenes were so cute and special to me! Also enjoyed Caine’s stalker side and how he has some dark possessive tendencies, but the only one who isn’t tattooed! I just love that fact.
I enjoyed seeing Max get herself back by discovering who she is in the small oceanside town. Seeing her sassy comments to the men and learning different styles at the gym is great! I also loved her taking back her dance style and sexuality, especially after being kink shamed!
During Why choose romances I always love that each man brings something a little different to the table. Adam brings wisdom being the oldest of the group at 42. Caine is the stubborn one never wanting to share his toys or compromise. Drew is the one who likes sharing and enjoys pain (receiving and causing). Hoping in book 2, you see a bit more of the mens dynamics aside from the gym and fighting about Max. I wanted to see how they interact with each other and hopefully they get along.
Most of the book consisted of Caine being stubborn and possessive. So he fights with the boys the whole time while ignoring what Max wants. I’m hoping in book 2 they band together for Max, instead of fighting each other.
Overall, I liked the small town and Max’s character a lot. I did enjoy the various kinks that were represented in the book. The MMA, kick boxing, and jiu jitsu were all interesting concepts to incorporate into this why choose romances making it a very unique read.
The duet is not complete and book 1 does end in a cliffhanger!

Madi Danielle absolutely nailed it with this one. Max is the new girl in town, just trying to outrun her past and survive. The chemistry between them is off the charts, with plenty of steamy, spicy moments that will leave you fanning yourself. I love their fierce obsession and possessiveness over Max, as well as their unwavering determination to protect her. Omgggggg I have not been this obsessed with a book in the longest time! I love that Max isn’t giving up on finding herself after a life of unhappiness and hurt. She stands up to the guys without hesitation!! Caine, Adam, and Drew are the perfect mix of hot and psychotic 🤣 I could not stop laughing, the banter is top tier. I love RH especially when there’s MM action. HOT doesn’t not even describe the chemistry between them. I cannot wait for the next book.

This book is HOT 🥵 dear lord. Be prepared cause holy crap.
The plot is really good. We have a girl that's grown up in a wealthy family who has controlled her all her life. Engaged to be married to an abusive man, she runs. Straight to the PNW to escape and start a life of her own. I liked the FMC. She definitely has strength and is determined to live a life by her choosing.
The men, 😮💨😮💨. They're hot. Check your triggers cause this book is heavy on the non con, but I ate it up. Caine is unhinged, but in the best way. But Drew is my baby. Maxine is looking for a fresh start. She has left her abusive ex and wants to start over. Maxine starts working at a local bar and meets three men who are MMA fighters. The guys quickly show interest in Max who doesn't want anything to do with them at first. They help her train and become more confident. Maxine's ex shamed her into believing what she wanted in the bedroom was wrong.
This book was so steamy! No slow burn here! This was my first book by this author and a quick read. It does end on a small cliffhanger but the second book will be out soon. Overall a good read.

Max is on the run and hiding from her abusive ex. When she arrives in Oregon, she meets two MMA fighters, Caine and Drew, and their coach, Adam, who all become obsessed with her. Her head knows their brand of unhinged should scare her…but she definitely wants them more than fears them.
Check TWs before reading, but this is a very spicy, suspenseful ride, and based on the cliffhanger, I think things will only get more interesting in book two.

I really enjoyed this book and the characters as well! I’m a sucker for a red head FMC and Max is just MY GIRL! I love that we get to see her grow throughout the book and her relationship with the men as well!
Speaking of the men…oh my god. Caine had me feral in the beginning but by the end I think I’m an Adam girlie. Don’t judge my love for older men 🙄. I also have a soft spot for Drew. All I have to say is I’m glad this is a why choose book because honestly I’d probably struggle a ton if I had to pick just one!!
I’m so mad that I got left on a cliffhanger hehe but I’m so excited for the next book! I would recommend reading the TWs before proceeding!

Received this book as an ARC from Chasing Books PR. Not going to lie, after the trigger list at the front of the book I was nervous. BUT the book took me by surprise and was a wild ride. Each character blends together while staying unique at the same time. In my opinion it’s a crazy ride, but if that’s your thing it’s worth your read!!!
