Her Brother's Keeper: Her Brother's Keeper/Storm Clouds/Die Before Nightfall

Rate this book
In "Her Brother’s Keeper," church secretary Becky can’t deny that Logan, the new preacher, is charming…and gorgeous. But why does he grow pale at the mere thought of giving a sermon? He has a secret from his past, and, besides that, he’s really in town to investigate whether Becky was kidnapped as an infant. To complicate matters, Logan is falling in love with Becky. "Storm Clouds" finds former Secret Service agent Angelina traveling to Australia after an urgent phone call from her brother, Marcus. When Angelina gets there, Marcus has mysteriously disappeared and it’s only with the help of Officer David Lemming that she has a chance to find him. But someone wants all three of them dead. And in "Die before Nightfall," Raven arrives in a small Virginia town to escape her past…and discovers a thirty-five-year-old mystery of tragic love. As she begins to unravel the facts, she meets Shane, who breaks through her carefully built defenses and into her heart. But, unknown to both of them, a killer is on their trail.

Although I have been a published author since the mid 1980s, I have been writing women's Christian fiction almost exclusively since 1999.

There is a longer, more detailed bio on my website so there's no need for me to repeat all that here. Right now, I write for all three Love Inspired lines, Romance, Suspense and Historical. I'm delighted to have been included that broadly and besides, it keeps me so busy that I stay out of trouble. Well, mostly.

You'll find me on the LI Historical blog as well as other LI features. If I try to do much more I won't have time to write my books!

it was a very fluffy romance, I enjoyed the different side characters and the plot was interesting, but I wouldn't call it suspense. This a hallmark movie type romance no spice.

This was an interesting love story. It was not your typical story, and as for suspense? I am not sure I would truly categorize it that way. Very few people, even the main character, were truly daunted by the need to solve the mystery of Becky's background- in fact it appeared that the mystery was solved before the arrival of the investigator. On the other hand, the draw between Becky and Logan was endearing. It was nice to read a book in which the characters got to know one another before jumping head first into the relationship.
Aunt Effie did provide some comical relief, but as to her role in the whole mystery - it was far too easily and quickly wrapped up in my opinion no one seemed to question her reasons for doing what she did, neither did anyone appear angry. It was as if the past was wiped clean just because Becky loved and cared for Aunt Effie.
I did enjoy this, despite a few flaws. I would certainly look for more by Hansen - as she drew me into the story very easily. This was finished in less than a day - and not a lay around and read all day one either!

I just finished reading this book it was very entertaining to read. Never know what was going to happen on the next page was the best part. Aunt Effie should helped with keeping things intresting always getting into trouble. Poor Rebecca and Logan should have a hard pasted to leave through.
