Lonely and more than a little depressed, Sean finds himself in a small town bar, drinking his sorrows away, knowing the woman he loves will be married the next day to her true mate. When he meets Sarah, they are both surprised at the intense attraction they share. The night is filled with a passion neither can forget, and Sean becomes confused as to why he's falling for another woman he cannot have. Sarah is human after all, and it's impossible for her to be his mate. One night is all they'll have.

Rogue wolves threaten the small ocean-side town Sean loves, and it's his job to fix the problem. Things don't work as planned, and he's summoned home only to find his worst nightmare. A death of a loved one, brings Sean to his lowest, but when Sarah shows up, he's surprised to find she's not as human as he thought.

Grief and betrayal bring the two lovers back together, though their secretive pasts follow, trying to push them further apart. Sarah must learn to trust Sean, and embrace her true spirit or Sean may not win the fight against his own demons.

A stand alone novel in the Enduring Kiss Collection.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. It was low angst but entertaining.

Sarah picks up Sean at a bar. It's not something she has ever done before, but she just couldn't resist him.
Sean was at the bar drowning his sorrows because the woman (Rebecca) he loved was marrying someone else.
I thought this part of the story would be more angsty but it wasn't. I think it was just in there because they were both parts of a previous book (Rebecca's HEA). I would have liked a tad more emphasis on his love for Sarah being so much more than Rebecca... but it was still good.

Sean and Sarah had an awesome ONS, and then a few weeks later Sarah finds that she's pregnant and doesn't know his last name or how to find him.
Sean still thinks of Sarah all the time and must remind himself that she is human...
But is she?

There's a lot of pieces at play in this puzzle but not so much that you lose sight of the MCs.
Warning; There is some tragedy

I liked both MCs and their connection was sweet. A lot is packed into this novella and it could have used a wee bit more page time.

I look forward to reading more by this author. I wish this wasn't the last book in the series.

First book for me in this series by C.E. Black
Sean is the security pack protector and is drowning his sorrow the date before the woman he loves marries her mate in a mate ceremony.
That where he meets Sarah and offers to buy her a drink. Things move along very quickly and the have a amazing night together but when Sarah wakes up next morning with a note and not contact details sarah gutted but gets on with her life.
A lot happens in this book and this develop really quickly when Sean meets Sarah again. This book also had me crying.
Great story in the anthology shifters in love

3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads.
======================
Even my wolf was pleased. He had been restless lately, and somehow being with Sarah gave me a feeling of peace I hadn't felt in a long time.

That was the one thing I didn't need, to be in love with another woman I couldn't have.

I would need the memory of Sarah to get me through the next day. It was going to be hell watching the woman I loved mate to another.

Seeing the woman I loved getting ready for her mating ceremony with another man, was not something I enjoyed.

As soon as my lips touch her soft skin, I almost lost it. She tasted so sweet.

I looked over her heart shaped face, seeing everything I once loved. I still loved her, just not with the same longing as I had before.

I loved her, and I believed she loved me a little bit too.

I felt peace and contentment, and my wolf was in complete agreement.

She was my mate.

Sarah and Sean's story is a truly fabulous one. I purchased and started this book last evening and finished it this morning. The story drew me in and kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what was going to happen next. At one point I even almost got out of bed in the middle of the night to finish reading it, the pull of the book was that intense. Love the vampire and wolf combination! I haven't read any of the other books in the series but I can tell you I will be buying them asap!

This has got to be my favorite of the series and I have to admit it's mostly because of Sean. I am so glad that his story is told and that he finds his mate. Leave it to him to do things totally unconventional when he finds her. In the midst of this there's rogue weres and someone attacking the pack so you can bet there's plenty of action. I think this author felt the same way about Sean as I do since his story is the most detailed. I love Sarah and the fact that she has plenty of backbone and the mystery surrounding her adds to the story. This is an amazing read that you will completely enjoy.

Enjoyable but quite sad on many fronts.
Really wanted to read Sean’s story and boy did it go in a direction I didn’t expect.
Just such a pity to have so much death in the pack, not so much upset at the baddies dying, of which there were many.
Knew something was off with Neil, I especially hope he burns in hell.
Read through Kindle Unlimited.

This is a fantastic book. It is an easy read but don’t start reading it too late at night or you will probably end up with a book hangover. It is very difficult to put down.

Sean is a lost wolf. The woman he loves has married another man, and he is heartbroken. To relieve his suffering, he decides to get out of town and have a drink or two, then he meets Sarah. Sarah is a business owner of a bakery called Decadent Delights and her life seems to be going just the way she wants…until she meets Sean at the bar. Instantly there is an overwhelming attraction and she takes him home with her. Hot animalistic sex occurs (pun intended since Sean is a werewolf).

But Sean leaves after one night. He can’t stay because Sarah is human and humans don’t mate with wolves. Two months later, Sarah has a major surprise and goes looking for Sean. And then the fun really begins.

This story has sorrow, angst, anger but also hot sex, love and a fulfilling ending. It’s like chocolate and a bottle of wine to the soul. It makes you feel good and yet, there’s no calories to worry about.

Denying one's true nature lead to more problems.

This may be book four of a series but it's a self-contained story. I didn't read the first three books and thoroughly enjoyed this story and book. It is well written and very entertaining story to read. A woman meet a man/shifter in a bar and has a one night stand because the attraction could not be denied. Later she finds out she's pregnant, but that could only happen if they were mates. Man/shifter thought she was human, but her father figure and doctor has been giving her a drug to suppress her other nature. So much more happen in this riveting story that keeps you on edge at times. I highly recommend this book.

It's a toss up between Enduring Kiss and Embraced that were my favorite in the series. You can easily read this series as stand alones.

As always this is a quick read but the story draws you in and you can finish in one night. The mixture of wolf and vampire is a nice storyline. Lots of action and steam. Highly recommend this whole series as a whole since the characters do interact in each one.

By C.E. Black

I absolutely love reading paranormal romance. This is the first in the series I have read it makes me want to read the other books in this series. The storyline is fantastic and is scorching hot. The characters are strong and realistic and the dialogue is awesome, funny, a little sad but engaging and I very much enjoyed reading it.
I am excited to read more from this author. This is a Must Read!

Fun read with typos

I call them typos, except that all those extra apostrophes aren't really slips of the finger. There are other errors, too, such as a missing "ed" on a noun used as an adjective, your when you're is appropriate, etc. That said, the story moves quickly and makes for a couple of hours of light entertainment.

What a great ending to the series, or is it? Sean meets his mate but she's human, how can that be? Is it going to be a happily ever after, or will Sean be a lonely werewolf like his Uncle before him? You really need to read this series, it is captivating and exciting to explore all of the characters. Look forward to more writings by C.E. Black in the future.

I do believe this is the first story I have read of C.E. Black. She truly is a wonderful author. I truly loved this story.

Sean was a werewolf that was hurting. A woman that he thought he was in love with was getting mated to her fated mate. It was truly hard for him to let go but knew he had to. He would of never dreamed that the “Human” he met at the bar would change his life forever.

You have to love Sarah. Though she is a girl that does not have one night stands she has a very strong sex drive when it comes to Sean. He is just to hard to resist. She has some secrets that are important for Sean to know. It could change everything for him.

Sarah in this story will face a lot. She will face love and also betrayal in the worst way. Your heart will truly break for her. Sean will also face a lot in this book. He will face loss, hurt, anger, love, and renewed hope.

Both will learn what it is like for family aka pack to stand behind them. They will learn how much their bond really means. This was truly a great story and glad I got a chance to read it.
