Sin for me reads more like a novel rather than a collection of novellas so I'll review it as a whole.
It starts off with Bianca and Hawk, the connection between them being her late husband, also Hawk's best friend. Her husband Oscar was a real ass, introducing his virgin wife to all sorts of depraved sexual acts while keeping his best friend away from her because he sensed a true attraction between the two of them. Despite him, they still became good friends and platonic partners in crime.
The sexual relationship develops about a year after his death when Bianca proposes her outrageous bet in order to win back money she lost to Hawk while gambling. Hawk proves himself a worthy adversary, mostly because he has wanted her since they first met. Bianca, on the other hand, I wanted to strangle because her freedom was more important to her than Hawk. Needless to say, they overcome their differences and end up marrying each other.
I like Bianca's character better in the second part, The Sweetest Sin. It seemed that she and Hawk were a lot more alive there, although it focused on Hawk's older brother Landon and his secret wife, Julianna. This story I liked a lot more than the first because the hurt between them was a lot more believable. I love the way Jess Michaels handled the two main characters in this story!
Landon is typical male in his view of Juliana's "betrayal" while poor Juliana acts as expected of an abused child and woman. Thankfully Landon sees his errors before his wife is completely broken.
In my opinion, the steamiest part was saved for last. Sin is the ultimate bad guy, planning the destruction of the man who played a big part in the death of his father by intending to hurt him in the way he thought would be most painful - by forcing him to sign over his youngest daughter (and Juliana's sister) for ten days of seduction. The plan backfires though. The girls' father couldn't care less and Evelyn herself was very happy to find out that Sin was the man who wanted to ruin her!
Apparently Evelyn had been writing erotica for a very long time, all with Sin in the starring role. She intends to make these ten days the most memorable of her life, which is really disconcerting for Sin! This acceptance of her predicament and the resolution to make the best of what she has makes her the strongest character of all. I think this is what makes Sin see there is more to her than he first thought and change his mind on his plan for revenge.
This is a novel that I have read (and re-read multiple times) and totally enjoyed! I love it when a family comes together.

Wager of Sin- 3 stars. Good solid story, but didn’t love it. The story of Hawk and Bianca. Bianca is the widow of Hawk’s best friend and now that she has her independence she will do anything to keep it. Even if that means entering into a wager with Hawk to regain money she had lost to him during their gambling in the gaming hells of London.
The Sweetest Sin- 3.5 stars. Good story, just short of great. The story of Landon (Hawk’s older brother) and Juliana. This is a found-again type of love story. At the beginning of the novella the characters are together and already in love. Then something keeps them apart. Now, 5 years later Juliana needs Landon’s help to find her missing sister Evelyn.

Great reads.
I love anything Jess Michaels puts out there.
According to my notes, I had read book 2 of this series in a collaboration several years ago but certainly didn't remember it. I picked up this book for 2 reasons. It has a great cover and love Jess Michaels. All three stories were well written and good reads.

Very enjoyable collection of erotic romance novellas. Great characters and lots of depth.

I'll start with reviewing my favorite story of the three novellas, The Sweetest Sin. I absolutely adore the two protagonists Landon and Julianna who were eloped five years ago. It should have been a happy ending but their marriage was annulled when Julianna's father, Lord Trevington, caught up to them and forced her to marry the Duke of Breckinhill. The story, however, starts when five years later, Julianna, now a widow goes to Landon for help to save her sister Evelyn who their father has used to pay off his gambling debts. Naturally, Landon asks that she become his mistress in exchange for helping her find her sister. The book flowed rather nicely and despite it being a novella, I feel that it had a lot of depth and the characters, well drawn out. By the end of the book, I ended up rooting for both Landon and Julianna to get their happy ending. This story also introduces us to Evelyn who we will read about in the third book Sin's Mistress. I gave this novella 5 hearts!
In A Wager of Sin, Bianca, now a widow makes a bet with Hawk (Landon's brother). If she wins, all her debts will be paid and if he wins, she becomes his mistress. Pretty simple, right? Apparently, Bianca was married to Hawk's best friend and Hawk felt responsible for his demise when he had an accident because they were drunk the night before. I also liked this story but not as much as I loved The Sweetest Sin. The story was fast paced and also very steamy, perhaps more steamy than the second book. I enjoyed reading about Hawk and Bianca and loved Bianca's transformation into a headstrong widow into an independent woman. I give this novella 4 hearts.
The last book of the series, Sin's Mistress is about Evelyn, Juliana's sister, who we read out about in The Sweetest Sin. She was sold in exchange to settle her father, Lord Trevington's gambling debts to Raphael Sinclair, known as Sin. Apparently, he has been lusting after Evelyn for quite some time and had planned Trevington's downfall so that he can have her in exchange. He takes her to his estate in Devon and introduces her into his life. I actually thought this novella was okay. And yes I admit, it is not my favorite. Despite the characters being well drawn out, I did not warm up to Sin as I hoped and I did not like Evelyn's transformation as much. I give this novella 3 hearts.
I bought the Sin Anthology when it was on sale for $1.99 at Barnes and Noble a couple of years ago and I have been re-reading this anthology multiple times. Personally, I love revisiting my favorite characters and books multiple times and this Anthology was a bargain. I give the whole anthology just because I thought the last novella was okay. Overall, each of the characters was well drawn out and despite it being a novella, I got the feeling that it was a full novel. It was fast-paced and extremely steamy (but not too much as to overwhelm the story).

I really enjoyed this book. I loved that the characters were carried throughout each one. Please note that this is an erotic romance and not for the faint of heart! While there were lots of explicit sex scenes there was still a very nice storyline and I enjoyed getting to know the characters.

Three super steamy novellas wrapped up in one lovely package. I admit I am normally not a fan of the novella, but I loved that fact that all three stories were interlinked through the characters. All three stories are very hot. It was easy for me to become wrapped up in the emotions of these characters and wish for them the happiness they deserved. I highly recommend this wonderful erotic read!
First we meet Bianca and Hawk in Wager of Sin. Afraid that her father will declare her unfit to care for herself, Bianca needs to reclaim her gambling losses from Hawk so that she may keep her independence. Bianca decides to make a wager with Hawk, she will spend the next month in is bed and if at the end of the month he is begging for more, she will win her money back. Hawk agrees but adds to the wager if Bianca is the one begging she will remain is mistress. Both have loved each other from afar for years, can there truly be a winner in this Wager of Sin?
Next we learn more about the history of Hawk’s prudish brother Landon in The Sweetest Sin. Shocked to find out the upstanding Landon hasn’t always been so perfect. Five years ago he was secretly married to the lovely Juliana. When the couple is found together, for reasons unknown to Landon, Juliana claims she was forced to marry and receives an annulment to marry another. Landon has never gotten over this betrayal and now, five years later when Juliana comes to him for assistance in locating her sister. Landon takes his revenge in a most pleasurable way.
Finally in Sin’s Mistress we meet Evelyn (Juliana’s sister) and Raphael Sinclair, better known as Sin. Sin is out for revenge against Evelyn’s father, Lord Trevington and because he can’t get Evelyn out of his mind decides to use her in his plot for revenge. He takes Evelyn as payment for Lord Trevington’s gambling debts, for the next 10 days Sin will own her and educate her in his decadent lifestyle. I enjoyed this erotic short story. Hawk and Bianca have loved each other for years but neither of them knew how the other felt. Bianca was married to Hawk 's best friend who's been dead for a couple of years. Now Bianca needs Hawks help and they strike a wager of a month worth of sin.

This was a good erotic short story about a love that lasted through the heart ache of lies. Juliana lies to Landon to save her sister from her fathers gambling debts. Five years later Juliana goes to Landon to help her find her sister after her father has sold her to payoff a debt. I liked this story a lot it had a great story line.

This was a good erotic short story of a man bent on revenge and a woman he's going to use to mete out that revenge and ruin her in the process. Sin and Evelyn had great chemistry and some very hot sex.

I've tried, I really, really have. And I wanted to like this book. I've read one of this author's newer works and liked it, but this, ugh. I had to give up near the end of the first story at 36% because it was dragging on and on. The stupidity of the characters was making me insane. I didn't like anyone. I didn't understand what the hero and heroine saw in each other. I was hoping the villain would pull the trigger while holding the heroine at gun point. When it gets to that point and all you're doing is rolling your eyes at the story, it's time to give up. Since these are older stories by this author, I'll stick with her newer works.

Jess Michael's is a master at writing steamy erotic historical romance. So when I saw this "Sin" bundle of erotic novellas I couldn't resist even though I do not normally buy novellas. The characters in each story were linked to each other through family bonds, so they built on one another. I was very happy that I took the leap of faith in JM. Each novella was incredibly steamy hot and the stories were emotional and heartfelt. The characters definitely got under my skin and I cared very much for them all to find their happy endings. I would most definitely recommend this trilogy!

Three related historical novellas that definitely fall on the erotic side. I think my favorite was the first - Bianca and Hawk. I felt like each character and each couple was unique, though a lot of their relationship issues were the same. I didn't read them back to back, so that might be why. Overall, very enjoyable.

It was only when I was halfway through Wager of Sin that I realised I had read this 3 story novella before. However, I finished the book as the three stories were excellent reading.

This is pretty typical erotica fare -- the three novellas were long on sex and short on plot. It was enjoyable, but had very little depth.
