I really loved this book featuring the traditional tale of the animals telling the Christmas story from their perspective. The illustrations are really wonderful. There is even a copy of the sheet music so you can sing the song with your children and play it on the piano. I might even try playing it as part of my organ prelude at church. :)

A beautifully illustrated verison of the Christmas carol, "The Friendly Beasts". Lots of softness and gentleness in the illustrations. The carol has six original verses and five more were written for this title, but of course not by the originial carol writer.

Based on the Christmas carol, with beautiful illustrations and extra verses that I had never heard. I actually sang the book to my kids and they loved it!

The story of the animals present at Jesus' birth. The cover is creepy and the prose repeats itself in a manner that is grating.
