The Blackwell Encyclopedia of Social Work provides a concise guide to 400 topics relevant to the practice of social work in the 21st Century. It brings together 250 top authors and covers all service user groups.
Professor Martin Davies was appointed to the University of East Anglia in 1975. He was was brought there from Manchester to design and launch a new Graduate Programme in Social Work. He graduated from the University of Liverpool in Social Science in 1959, and was awarded a doctorate in 1971 at Bedford College in the University of London for a thesis on the situational context of criminal behaviour and offender supervision.
