Brilliant as always. Blue-moon is a wonderful addition to Blue Moon by Steve Higgs . There’s lots happening in this one . Seafood businesses at war ! What next? Lobster potty and little looney , I expect they’ll get to the bottom of the sea with this those chaps at Blue Moon eh? It’s an Egyptian Mummy that has Tempest Michaels headed Boston way to investigate its state. But the vampire he was to have a dinner date with? Needs attention forthwith as a deadly cat n mouse instills.Theres the witchy problems . The weatherman plagued by his ex, a ghostly apparition in search of its body .These are just a few of the stories in this collection of shorts . I do love Steve Higgs and his worth ethic . There’s always something interesting , and inviting , extra exciting and immersive to read even ones that make me empathetic. Brilliant book with a great big hook in its opening pages that has me hooked quite happily , dangling and reading with emphatic enthusiasm. Those favourite characters and reminiscing about their story. Bravo for a book that’s well collated

I love this offshoot department of Blue Moon Global. In this book each story takes place in-between cases and it brings each character to life. The incidents, the mentality of each character, the scenarios that play themselves out, all work together to bring these stories to life and keep fanning the flames of the possibility of a darker world beneath the initial glimmer of city life. Loving this series.

Great short stories !

I really liked the short stories Justin. Please do more of them. Ive had a lifetime of animals passing but two in particular hit me really hard. I can tell you from experience that your buddy will be back but you should check the local shelters because he may be waiting for you there

Enjoyed the short stories

I enjoyed the stories and how the plots were settled, but I wish the main character did more to state the reality of her division. With Tempest Michaels, he makes sure people know that he does not believe in the occult, but considers his main job to debunk the mysteries and save the real victims. I wish Blue Moon division would do the same.

Second Shift is a collection o short stories that are easy to read, entertaining, and add to the Boston chapter of Blue Moon Investigations. Chloe is a great investigator and couldn't care less for all things paranormal. Lots of fun!
I thank the authors for this ARC.

Second Shift

A collection of short stories of the Boston Blue Moon series. These short stories filled in some gaps between books and brought characters from the the original Blue Moon series in to help on a couple of the stories.

Nice change of pace

It's like having anthology of unrelated stories. Each can be read in a relatively short time and you can choose to proceed or quit. Very well written.

These are fun short stories that you will enjoy whether or not you have read the books in this series. They do give you greater insight into the characters and their motivations while telling a good story.
