This book was pretty crazy. I liked it because it was exciting, suspenseful, and mysterious. To start off the book, Chastity (Main character), was looking for band members by hanging up flyers with her phone number on them. When she was putting one of them up, a guy walked by and said that she's not going to get band members by doing that. She was about to let it all out on him until she saw who it was. It was Josh Emitt. He was the host for MTV. She started talking to him but while they were talking, she heard a loud bang. Josh dropped to the ground. Thats all Im going to say because of spoilers. I would rate this book a 4/5 because it was really good.

I read this book because it was a school assignment for my eighth-grade grandson. It was a fair read. I failed to see any academic value, and I was somewhat bothered that the teenage characters who broke the law, disrupted school, and otherwise defied authority were portrayed as the heroes.

This book is a fiction novel. This is a thrilling book, it’s like going through a roller coaster because you don’t know what going to happen next or where you’re going to end up next.
One of the most powerful quotes that was said in the book is “ I’ve been running for all of my life and im tired of it.” This was a powerful quote because it set the personality of the main character. By giving her an I am not going to quit attitude and im going to finish this mission.
To give a brief summary on the book it’s about a teen girl and her mom. The girl is blamed for committing a crime that she didn’t do. Her mom freaks out because they have been running from a very dangerous guy for their whole a life. The mom is scared that that guy is going to find them. But the daughter doesn’t want to leave town since she likes it there. The mom only gives her one week to solve the murder if not they are going to have to leave town once again.
A few words to describe this book are surprising, captivating and lastly mysterious. I use the word surprising to describe this book because it makes you think one thing when in reality something else is going on. Some evidence from the book to support the word surprising is “ I needed to put you in some kind if hole. So I got a couple of screenwriters who were so desperate to get in a favor for me sat them down and came up with a scenario.” The dialogue above shows how the author actually made us think that everything that was going on was unintentional but in actuality everything had is purpose fulfill.
I recommend this book to anyone who is adventurous. This book would really interest that person because it takes you on a lot of ups and downs that you don’t know what to expect next.

In Walter Sorrells' Club Dread, we follow Chass Farmer into San Francisco in effort to escape from their dark past with Kyle Van Epps, the president of Global Media. Their fresh start is ruined very quickly. Chass is at a coffee shop hanging up band audition flyers when she runs into superstar Josh Emmit. While striking up conversation about the singing industry, he is shot in a drive-by leaving Chass as the main witness for his murder. Her Mom is strong on skipping town, but Chass has convinced her that they will stay if she solves the murder. Her Mom says "I realize how hard it was for you to leave Alabama, to leave Ben. I don't want to have to do that to you again." This quote is significant because it's what pushes Chass to solve this case and put herself in danger for others. Even while investigating, she manages to put a really special band together that practices and preforms. They become really close and always have Chass' back. They are put through really dangerous situations and it just grows more trust between the four band members. Chass' Mom giving her a chance to stay is really important because it fuels Chass to go on. It is also significant because she says "do that to you again". Chass gets herself in so much trouble while solving this murder that her and her mom have to leave. She has to leave her friends behind in San Francisco even after all her courageous work.

**spoilers, but not enough to ruin the story** This was between an 'OK' and 'I liked it' rating. It kept me interested because I wanted to find out who the killer was and what the ingot had to do with it. It was only Ok because parts were too unbelievable. The age of the characters for the things that were going on did not match for me. For example, a new driver would unlikely be able to drive skillfully enough to escape the police. Another example is, any high school student who turns up with a bruised face after being hit by an adult would raise great concern and the guilty person would surely be punished. There were a few other instances where I felt the kids should have involved the police or just an adult, however that would have taken the story in a different direction.

The part I enjoyed about the book was that it kept me interested. It is a mystery and mysteries must be solved. This one kept me guessing in that respect, I did not guess the guilty party. I enjoy mysteries and listened to this one on my Audible App because it was free, but it turned out to be interesting, a little unbelievable in parts, but interesting.

Club Dread is the sequel to Fake Id in which Chass and her mother have been on the run for years from a man named Kyle Van Epps. At the end of Fake Id, the story seemed to have ended, but at the beginning of Club Dread, there is a quick explanation about why Chass and her mother are still on the run. In Club Dread, there is a group called The One Hundred. It is a cross between a social club and a cult. Chass becomes involved in a murder at the beginning of the story when famous singer, Josh Emmit is killed right in front of her. She quickly becomes a suspect in the murder and figures out that The One Hundred is involved. I didn't like the ending of this book. It isn't as bad as the whole thing being a dream, but it is just as unsatisfying.

This book is about a girl that has been on the run ever sense she was a kid. her adventure has finally lead her to San Francisco. she is trying to get a band together instead of playing by herself. she finally started to get settled in when a famous person, Josh Emmit gets shot and the cops thank she is the one that killed him. know she is in a fight to solve the mystery, run away with her mom new a new town with all new stuff and names, or figure out who really did it before the press gets her picture and name. if that happens then the person that had been trying to kill her and her mom will know where they are.

A sequel to Fake ID, this teen mystery captured my attention. It has it all, mystery, a teen detective, and car chases. I have the wonderful ability to suspend disbelief when reading a book OR watching a movie, so the ending was a surprise to me.

An easy fast read, this is a good one to keep in the car for those odd times when you have a few minutes. No, not at stop lights. Be careful though, that you don't become so involved that you sit in your car when you should be going into work.

All fans of Walter Sorrells will agree that this book if for 5-8 graders, you don't need that great of a vocabulary to enjoy and understand this novel. This book has suspense, cliffhangers, unexpected action, with a twisted ending. Readers in search of a mystery will find this book perfect. Club Dread will make more sense after you read the first book, Fake ID, as well.

This is the first of the series in which we meet Chas and her mom who are running from some mysterious man for some mysterious reason. Very cloak & dagger but intriguing and interesting all the same. Of course, Chas eventually uncovers the truth of what is going on & things become semi-resolved. Wonderful story & full of suspense. Hope he makes more.

This book is pretty good. Still, I can't help but feel a little weird about how Kyle Van Epps is still alive. It is kinda weird, but I can't help but feel that when everything is allright that it seems a little repetitive. Still, this book is pretty good.

Fast and FURIOUS. The book had twists and turns, and the thrill of Walter Sorrels. While it wasn't anything deep, and the central theme was very similar to Fake ID, it was a nice break.
