PROJECT PAPERCLIP
Oct 2024.

I am enjoying what this is gradually becoming..
A more humorous side to the whole new X Men rebirth.
Interesting to see if Havok/Polaris launch into bigger things
And 87yo immortal Granny Smite could be fun🤔

What is the point of this book? It's vaguely reminding me of Rick and Morty, at least in terms of the messaging of, "Nothing matters! Let's watch as something ridiculous happens."

This book acts like it has some deep message about capitalism or superficiality, but there isn't much here. It's just some government PR guy constantly treating characters like they're disposable. There is an undercurrent of, "Isn't Havok foolish for daring to sign up for this?"

I don't want to watch heroes get made fun of. This was arguably the best issue yet, because at least their mission served to protect Earth. But, I just can't get behind the nonsense that this title thinks it's smart.

Why would Frenzy shout, "Dog breeder! I could have been a dog breeder!"? A) No one talks like that. B) That's not even a job that requires particular education or anything. Who fantasizes about being a dog breeder? If you're questioning all your life choices, wouldn't you fantasize about something more glamorous?

What upset me more, praytell? The constant moping and misuse of Havok (total character assassination - not everyone is Deadpool, homie) or was it the AGAIN callous nature of this writer? Innocent deaths are funny and yeah I have a sense of humor... It's late July, is this book canceled yet???
