After reading the second volume, Gore still remains a mystery. But we did get to know the Pale angelic knight Njal rather well.
This novella should actually be called Njal, instead of Gore, in my opinion.
So as we start, Gore is gravely injured and kind out of it, so Njal keeps up the story, and we get to see into his past of hardship and brotherhood.
Like our main hero, he has also had his run-ins with demons claiming loved ones.
I liked this story, but I was expecting more Gore (as in the character, there was enough of the other type of gore). Great dark fantasy with enough fighting, pain and gruesome killing to fill a whole novel.
I will be reading the next instalment and hoping to get a more solid story rather than flashbacks, with a minor side plot. I can see the building blocks, and it just needs a great execution and hopefully a full-on novel.
Side note: you don't need to constantly emphasise strength that characters have nor their angelic voice. Just when something changes.

Gore, Volume 2 continues the intense saga in a world where darkness and demonic forces threaten to overwhelm everything. As Gore lies unconscious, the arrival of the enigmatic Pale Knight introduces a glimmer of hope in this bleak setting. This volume deepens the suspense with a journey through nightmarish landscapes and the looming threat of an even greater evil. I enjoyed the gripping tension and the unfolding mystery, which kept me eagerly turning pages to see if Gore would rise to the challenge or succumb to the encroaching shadows.
