Queen Sealyn has her work cut out for her! She has an entire kingdom to protect and still more people to save. So many amazing creatures and a phenomenal cast of characters. The story fits perfectly into this series and it leaves you begging for the next book!

Things have changed now in Elysium. A school for Luxen and learning about each individual one to better understand what types of powers each has. Sealyn is working to hopefully find her friends that were taken. And things just got a lot better because Lord Jashun has emerged on the beaches of Port Rowan and he has news. He has managed to escape capture of the Stoltlands. But unfortunately the other prisoners were not so lucky. But they are alive! Queen Sealyn is now working towards making more alliances. This time with the Mer clan of the seas. Kailani the princess of the mer clan is the one she must make a deal with. But Sealyn may have a hidden agenda when it comes to the mer clan. Will she be sneaky enough to get what she wants?
But this isn't the only possible alliance...the pirate king. He spared the lives of the Elysians when meeting them and now he wants to meet with Sealyn and Jace. They may just have more in common than they expect. Can they save their friends? Can they form the alliances that are really needed and find the source of power to help release Shunal from its curse? Or will Sealyn and her band of friends fail?
I will say this is probably my favorite one thus far. I absolutely love the mermaids, pirates and ocean aspect of this one was really interesting to me. I love a good pirate theme! Shunal sounds absolutely stunning with its gold.

I had the pleasure and privilege of Beta reading this book! Maegwen has done it again! Another curse, a new setting, but the adventure continues with our favorite characters! Plus a few new characters too! You will be laughing, grabbing hold of the edge of your seat, and possibly shedding a few tears. This has been my favorite of the series so far and there’s still more in store with an ending that’ll have you saying WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!?!?!?

I started my journey back on reading in May of 2024 with the first book of this series, and now I started 2025 with the 3rd book! Absolutely amazing, and I had such a hard time putting it down in order to sleep LOL! It was so wonderful getting back into this world. I didn't realize how much I missed cinnamon roll Jace and his fierce Lioness! I'll now be on the hunt of finding more FMC's who are so fiercely protective over their man. So tasty ~

I will say (chapter 9):....I mean...Jace is only "half" Stoltland....sooooooo *winkwink* lol

This series has absolutely made me more confident in reading more from local authors. I can't wait to discover all these stories from people near me, and hope they soon receive the recognition they and their books deserve!

Absolutely Adored It!

This series just keeps getting better and better! I am in awe of Maegwens talent and imagination. The Serpent Emerges brings new characters, a new curse, and an unbelievably greedy kingdom. This novel also has a Gossip Newsletter that holds all the juicy secrets of Elysium, There’s an assassination attempt on a royal, Sisters are at odds, A living grave yard, TWO love triangles, Surprising found family, Totally twisted escape rooms, beautiful Mermaids and ruthless Pirates, a new Magic school, sassy grandmas, and last but definitely not least snakes galore! Truly this book had it all and I can’t recommend it enough!

I had the honor of BETA reading this book and it was amazing. I loved every minute of the journey of the Emerald Queen! The places, the creatures, the drama, the MERMAIDS! Go read the first two books do you’re ready when this one comes out this fall!
