[Siren Classic ManLove: Erotic Alternative Romance, M/M, HEA]
Welcome to the world of Rescue for Hire. Meet the team members that make up a company that form a family of heroes.
Damian White has been observing Treble Walker for months, trying to find a way to catch the dangerous lethal little man, but Damian wants a forever. Somehow he has to get around Treb’s motto, "Keep it short and simple. I don’t do messy, whiney, emotional stuff."
Treble Walker is a corner observer who sees everything. He knows the new pilot has been watching him, but when he asked him if he wants to hook up he gets turned down. Why does that intrigue him?
Damian does catch his Treble, but after multiple people go after Treb for revenge, Damian has to keep not only Treble alive but also the hospital staff, as well. There is nothing more dangerous than Treble with a head injury.
Bellann Summer lives in the middle of nowhere with her husband and children surrounded by lakes and woods. In the summer Bellann enjoys fishing, camping, gardening and growing flowers. Autumn is spent out in the woods exploring the beautiful colors and nature at its finest. In the winter there is ice fishing, snowmobiling and sitting in front of the wood fireplace. She has always loved to read and any free time is spent with a book in her hand. When major life changes occurred, she decided to try writing what she liked to read. And it worked.
Damian's Treble' is the third installment in Bellann Summer's 'Rescue for Hire' series. I was more than a little excited to read this as Treble fascinated me. He's a member of Cade's team and unlike the other men, Treble is a smaller man who, apparently, is the deadliest of them all. He doesn't do emotions - hell, he doesn't understand them - but he's loyal to his team and the partners that Cade and Jack have found along with Jack's daughters. I couldn't wait to get a glimpse inside Treble's mind.
It didn't take Damien very long to figure out that keeping Treble wasn't going to be easy. Oh he could get him for a night because that's all Treble does, but Damien wants forever. It's a good thing Damien has a military background that taught him patience, because it's going to take an awful lot of it in order to get Treble interested enough to stay around for more than just sex. It was hysterical watching Treble get so discombobulated and not know what to do. But when he started to stake his claim on Damien around others is when I was laughing out loud more than once.
It's been a while since I've seen a couple as stinking cute as Damien and Treble. Mostly I think it's just Treble who makes me feel that way. When he's taken by surprise, attacked, injured, and thrown out of a speeding vehicle, my heart was in my throat. I didn't want anything to happen to Treble, not when he and Damien had just gotten their ring fingers tattooed. I needed these guys to have a happy ever after, and I really needed Treble to be okay.
A great addition to the series. Treble and Damien are definitely my favorite couple, at least so far. I had a ton of fun reading this novella and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.

Treble is the cold blooded killer in the group of men who rescue people. He’s traded in his weapons for helping, but still teaches gun safety and is available for when there is danger involved in the rescue.
Damian is the pilot who flies the team around. He has been noticing Treb for awhile, but doesn’t want to get involved with him until Treb admits that they have a relationship not just a quick fuck.
Treb fights it, but the slow, persistent wooing eventually does him in and he has to admit he’s fallen for Damian.
Meanwhile, Treb is being stalked by some guys around town who think he’s messing up their lives and he ends up hurt and kidnapped and burgled … luckily he’s Treb so… no worries…right?

This is –hands down- my favorite in the series and my favorite couple in the series. Treb and Damian have (IMHO) the most balanced relationship and it just feels so healthy!
Treb is hysterical and Damian is so good at managing his eccentric ways.
Darcy Stark did another fantastic job of giving Treb a lighter but not fem voice and Damian a rough but not OTT alpha voice. Perfect!
I love, love, love these guys and highly recommend this book/audiobook. Even if you’ve not read the series – give this one a try.
Here we are again with the Rescue For Hire guys. This time around though, I must honestly say, I really, really liked this one!
This time around, we don't have a formulaic huge-man-me-alpha finding his soul mate in a me-twinky-me-weak-but-strong-individual. Here, Treble, a member of the Rescue for Hire team is a deadly, lethal man who always manages to get his prey either dead, dying or lying in a coma, getting attracted to a new member of the team, Damian, who is just as dangerous with his military background but prefers to fly around in his toys-for-the-big-boy planes he uses to transport the team to and fro.
Thing is, Damian does not want to play around and getting to make Treble understand that is proving to be quite the adventure. He has to find ways to make the man understand that he was not a one time thing. Treble seems to respond positively to this technique in 'courting' and it is funny to read that part of the story. Every time this happens here, I was sent to giggle. Okay, I did really love their verbal sparring which was quite sedate and full of innuendos rather than blatant and borderline dirty. I absolutely loved the way Treble finally decided to lay claim on his Damian in his subtle but lethal manner.
Yes, this time around, Bellann Summer made some changes in her writing and it really worked. This is my favorite of the three books so far, and we have two more to go (I think so don't quote me). At the rate this author is showing improvement in every book released, I am stuck with this series.
So yes, for those of you who like the light reads that are not too short and just has enough of erotica, then yes, this is definitely a good read.
Different tale of M/M romance ! These tough guys are different because they work in the dangerous jobs and do exciting rescues. Treble is a deadly smaller man who is the "ghost" who can stealthily go anywhere and deliver the justice as needed. He has long black hair, part American Indian and Italian, a beautiful man. Damian is the new pilot for the group and is just as interested in Treb as Treb is with him. Treble, a commitment phobe, wants to sleep with Damian, but Damian wants forever, so he turns him down repeatedly. Instead Damian takes him flying, etc., builds a true relationship slowly with small kisses, and touches until Treble can't resist. When they do have their hot sex, it's for real and a claiming. Deep characters, an interesting story, and terrific writing make this a great book. This series is full of action and excitement, the stories are short, maybe 1 1/2 hours each, and fun to read. I think they can be stand alone, but are richer if you know the previous people's tales. Highly recommend ! ENJOY !!
This is the best story I've read of Ms. Summer so far. At least for this series. I like that fact that Treb is a straight-to-the-point kind of guy. You don't have to wonder if he likes you or not; you figure it out cause if he likes you he walks away and leaves you alive, or at least without injury. I also like the way Damian figured out how he will most likely get and keep Treb's attention.
To me, this is the most realistic story I've read so far in relation to any kind of relationship. So yea, I like it. :D
To be honest I wasn't gonna read this one. Seeing as I didn't like the previous two and thought they had too many bad points I didn't expect any better from this. It was only because I got all three in a package deal and therefore already had this one that I decided to give it a try anyway. Well, I'm glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised!
Damian's Treble is a much more enjoyable read than its prequels. Sure, it has some fault here and there as well, but I wasn't bothered by them. The pacing is much better, the characters have personalities and we have an actual story. And it doesn't just skip straight to the sex. Instead our two main characters has to take time to develop their relationship.
I really liked Treble. He had problems with social situations, didn't do relationships and never really opened up to anyone. Still, when he starts to fall for Damian, after initially freaking out about it, he is shown to be a sweet and caring person. And easily gets jealous.
The conflict is more believable this time. Though maybe not completely realistic, at least it's not something happening in fantasy-dream-land.
I really did enjoy this book. It was a nice quick-read and I do recommend it. While not one of my all time favorites, the improvements from the previous books in this series ensured that it got a higher rating from me!
Treble makes for a nicely near-sociopathic protagonist. I find his blunt solicitations for sex very amusing, as well his observations on Bret’s little garden. He’s pretty much like an animal in his interactions with others, riding on instinct. Very little is questioned at all. Yep, I really enjoyed Treble. Damian’s not half bad either, so that means I finally have protagonists I can like again. I’m disproportionately excited about that.
As usual, though, we get the ubiquitous injury to and caretaking of the smaller man. Also lots of superlatives and silliness. And excessive amounts of sex.
Even so, thanks to Treb, it was a fun, short read. As long as I remembered to not apply the laws of reality.
I really liked Treble. I wanted more from him though. Everything seemed so rushed in this one. I wanted to be there during . Yet, those came before That's different. For Treble being solo and relationship phobic he sure does jump right in to this one. I did like this freak out though ;)
The constant POV changes were horrid. Give me some warning, please. I had to re-read a lot to make sure I knew who was speaking.
With that said, this was probably my favorite one of the series so far.
