The desolate island becomes a paradise neither could’ve imagined in Warrior’s Rapture.
Naomi has been stranded on the tropical island for over a year with a gregarious parrot as her only friend. Just as she’s given up hope of being rescued, things change. Tired and bleary-eyed, Naomi slams into a seven foot tall, red-skinned, scantily-clad beast of a man, complete with fangs and a tail. Demon, right? No. Apparently, he’s an alien! Certain she’s losing it, she runs screaming into the forest, but the island is small and she runs into the bedeviling alien again.
One moment Faktil is infiltrating the reptilian enemy planning to invade Earth, the next he’s surrounded by water and struggling to reach the isolated island in the distance. With his ship at the bottom of the ocean, the island’s gorgeous lone inhabitant is his only hope to contact his people. So of course he manages to scare off the skittish human female, and his bad luck just continues from there.
Fortunately for Faktil, Naomi takes pity on him and the desolate island becomes a paradise neither could’ve imagined. Will Faktil’s luck hold out or is there more to come in Warrior’s Rapture?

Caution – This book has adult content and may have triggers for some.
I’ve always loved stories about aliens, being marooned on an island, and those featuring people of color, and this book delivers on all fronts. Although I’ve read many of this author’s works, this book can be enjoyed as a standalone without any prior knowledge of the series.
I found this book to be incredibly interesting, with the majority of the plot focusing on the couple’s experiences on the island. The story was well-edited, with no noticeable errors, making it a smooth and enjoyable read. What I enjoyed most was the instant karma the hero experienced—it had me crying with laughter!
My favorite secondary character was Bandit. He was intelligent and protective, adding an extra layer of charm to the story. The island itself was so vividly described that I felt like I was there alongside the characters.
The interactions between the hero and heroine were delightful, filled with some of the funniest banter I’ve read in a while. Fakhli was incredibly sweet to his mate, and Naomi’s spunky, smart, and kind nature made her a joy to read about.
The twist in the story was unexpected and brilliantly executed—I never saw it coming! I also loved the potential for so many other kinds of people in the stratosphere, hinting at even more fascinating stories to come.I recommend this book and author.
4.25 stars. Faktil, the male alien demon-appearing lead, wakes to find himself stranded on Earth on an island. Naomi, the female Hawaiian-Japanese human lead, has been stranded on the island for a year, having drifted off the coast of Hawaii in her kayak. She’s terrified to find a being resembling an oni, a demon legend that her grandmother told her about when she was a child. But when Faktil collapses, injured, outside her hut, she comes to realises he’s not as big a threat as she thought he was. Faktil is sure his companions will retrieve him shortly; they just have to wait for them to arrive…right?
This story is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, sci fi romance. I enjoyed Faktil’s kindness and consideration for Naomi and her pet. I enjoyed Naomi’s resilience and survival skills. I enjoyed their relationship development and the steamy, sensual intimate scenes. I enjoyed the cleverness of the plot, both romance and non-romance. I enjoyed the resolution for this story and the setup for the continuation of the ongoing non-romance story arc.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
This was a wild ride with a massive plot twist. Naomi is stuck on an island away from anywhere she can find close to her home. She has one friend a bird. Bandit. He is a sassy friend that has saved her sanity. Then one day out of the water comes a red demon aka Faktil. He is confused how he’s on earth but is completely caught up in the human wonder of a woman Naomi. They get time to get to know each other and take this time away from their lives to relax. That is until the plot twist and things get real.
This book brings you a lot of Hawaiian vibes. Naomi is so sweet and I love how much of her native culture she brings to the story. Faktil was fighting other aliens to protect Earth but now finds himself in the ocean. Once on the island he finds our sweet and beautiful Naomi. But things don’t go his way from the start and the mishaps only continue. The story is such a sweet romance that will bring you a very surprising ending.
I have read every book in this series and I have really enjoyed everyone of them, I absolutely loved this one the best, it was funny, made me laugh and parts made me cry when the big red guy said torment when he was upset made me laugh every time. He was the best. When she took her clothes off at the lake he was a goner, I would recommend this book to my friends in a heart beat loved it.
The last thing Cadi Warrior Faktil can remember is his mission to infiltrate an enemies ship belonging to the vile slave merchants, Jurou Biljana. Waking up in an ocean with his ship laying on the bottom and a large bump on his head he some how manages to make it to a distant shore. Naomi has been surviving on this deserted tropical island for a year after falling asleep while kayaking and ending up there, her only companion a parrot she’d named Bandit. When they meet she runs thinking Faktil is an evil red skinned beast from her childhood myths. Warrior’s Rapture becomes another winner in the series as these two likable characters begin to warm to each other amidst their new reality. When they stop dancing around the obvious attraction the mate bond formed is smoking HOT! But the war is still out there and the upcoming twist is an OMG, no way surprise. I loved this wonderfully written, imaginative story that was both immersive and an engaging read. HEA
I received a free ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was quite an interesting and suspenseful scifi drama/romance between two stranded islanders, one human female and one male alien, and a scarlet macaw named "Bandit." When "Faktil" finds himself floating in the ocean and not knowing how he got there, he takes refuge on a lone island where, being as he is 7' tall, has bright red skin and a tail, he scares the crap out of "Naomi," a human who thinks she's engaged in a scientific study on the island.
With some curiosity, patience and compassion for the obviously injured alien, Naomi helps nurse him back to health, and they become better acquainted. Just when they begin making plans for their future, the story takes a dramatic twist. It only gets better from there.
The story is well-written, although very fanciful and might have been even better had Naomi's dialog contained fewer contemporary colloquialisms.
Three beings are stranded on a deserted, but well-equipped island - love and shenanigans are sure to follow. The third being on the island is an utterly delightful parrot - who loves Naomi and does NOT trust Faktil. And distrusts him in the most adorable ways possible. Reminds me of one of my beagles and my spouse :)
And the relationship develops out of both conversation and working together. While there may be some quick attraction, the relationship that follows feels genuine, rather than "well, we both happen to be here."
Without getting into spoilers, I will say there are a few instances where at first it seems like lazy writing, until you put it all together and you realize - "ah! That wasn't laziness, of course it would be like that!"
This is Cadi Warriors Book 10 and I have been reading this series. I enjoyed this book with Faktil and Naomi and the most entertaining Bandit. This was a creative story and world in where Faktil meets Naomi. Faktil is a formidable warrior who does not believe he is deserving of a mate. However once he sees Naomi he changes his mind. The warriors are still trying to save earth from meeting the fate. There is a sweet and happy ending for this thoughtful couple. Read On!
This story had some great quirks and oddities. There was a twist to the action that was interesting and unusual. The Dremin are great fun - from their strange abilities to the way they speak,
““I have become accustomed to you, flesh bearer, so don’t cease to exist after we part,” Traveler replied.”
The main characters are light hearted and silly together. The series of events that keep going wrong for the MMC are hilarious and make sense by the end.
Things start as usual catching up to the male character that about to meet the human FMC. However, it is not how the previous love stories were developed. About Half way through things change a lot. We also get more insight to the pure enemy, but also more about others who are not what they seem to be on the surface.
Fantastic storytelling! What a delightful way to fall in love - marooned on a tropical isle, just the two of them plus a parrot with an attitude. I was enjoying their idyllic isolation, but it was too good to be true. What happens? You’ll have to read it to believe it. Just one hint: those Dremin are really fascinating beings. I love this story! Well done.
What could be better than falling in love on a tropical island, with just the two of you? Sounds Perfect, right? Well, it's almost perfect. Bandit, the overprotective parrot, tries to c*ck block Faktil as often as he can. I found these two hilarious. A sweet love story with plenty of spice and lots of humor. Bonus! This tale has a twist! As always, Stephanie West does not disappoint.
What an amazing story! It will bring up so many emotions, especially when Faktil found himself back on the Jurou Biljana Ship and he had no idea where Naomi was or if she was even real. This story has wonderful characters to include Bandit, action, adventure, humor and steamy romance with a happy ending.
It was nice to get better acquainted with friends we've met before, and to meet new friends! Even though they are either super awkward or a convenient deus ex machina, I really enjoy the Dremin. In personality they remind me if Nathan Pyle's Strange Planet beings.
Faktil, Naomi and Bandit I had a lot of fun reading this book, It had a difrent setting, happening in and island, and I thougth it was very cool. The way Faktil happen to get there is also very creative and I loved the Parrot, Bandit, so much! When things get set rigth I love Bandit even more. Faktil is so funny his humour is hilarious and Naomi migth be even worse than him. Super funny and cute book
When you are stranded with a too smart parrot on an idyllic island what else could you possibly need? Your soul mate of course! I loved how these two found their way together in spite of their differences. You definitely need to read this one to find out how they reach their happy ending.
This book takes you from space to a deserted island where a Cadi scares the only inhabitant, a female also stranded on the island. It takes you through meeting, acceptance, friendship to love, then back to space. Can't wait for the next book.
I love the entire series. This one did not disappoint. I was actually sad about a character I liked might get left behind, but the HEA was a satisfying one.
