Turn The Page: Devotions to Help the Griever Hope
God values your life, even in the darkest circumstances.
As Karisa Moore prepared to bury her son, she pondered the question she had repeatedly asked him whenever he felt stuck growing up,
“Do we stop the story here or turn the page?”
Karisa Moore’s heartfelt devotional offers solace and guidance to those navigating the turbulent waters of grief. Based on her personal journey through the loss of her son, this sixty-day journal is a sanctuary for anyone mourning a loved one. Each day’s entry provides a blend of reflections, questions, and practical activities designed to nurture healing and renew faith. Drawing deeply from Christian principles, Moore encourages readers to embrace hope and find strength in their journey toward healing.
Author Karisa Moore knows what it’s like to cry out to God with groans words cannot express (Romans 8:26). Losing her son to suicide makes her a passionate resource as an author, blogger, podcaster, photographer, and soul-care speaker. She is expanding our mental health vocabulary to include Christ-centered hope. Karisa embraces life alongside her husband and two living children. She loves long hikes, photography, and great stories.

I couldn’t put this devotional down as it had my heart on day one. With tears streaming down this grieving mama’s face, I was invited into Karissa Moore’s tragic pain; a pain no mother should have to endure. But she did … and because I entered the pain with her, I was also invited to experience the hope and healing she found through her Savior, Jesus Christ. The author’s transparency, intertwined with the promises of God, is a healing balm for any reader who has experienced a death loss; and a compassionate equipping for those supporting others in grief. I loved the worship recommendations and have looked many of them up. Turn the Page: Devotions to Help the Greiver Hope is a book I wish I had when my daughter went to heaven. It’s a book I’ll keep close and turn to again and again.

I'm so glad this powerful book is available. And it is appropriate for any loss or grief. Although the author's loss is the loss of a child, I think the insights and biblical principles she shares can be beneficial whatever our loss. For me, "Turn the Page" gave me fresh courage for the loss of parents and a brother. I loved the devotional sense as if the author is walking beside me with supportive wisdom and encouragement. Each devotion is short and pithy. Just right for a person in grief who is finding it hard to concentrate. I highly recommend this book and will be buying copies for others.

Reading this book brought back memories of my own heartache when my grief was fresh. Even though my greatest losses happened some years ago, I found this book healing and encouraging. The author's words are honest reflections of a grieving mother, seeking hope in the midst of unimaginable loss. I appreciate her vulnerability and her compassion upon others grieving great losses. Ultimately, hope shines through every page.

Fantastic book! A beautiful, hopeful message for the grieving and broken-hearted among us. The idea of 'grieving with hope' feels so far away at times, but Karisa Moore makes it real and tangible.
If you know anyone who's struggling with grief, hopelessness, depression and you want to see them have a practical way to pull themselves out of it, I would highly suggest this book. It's powerful yet gentle and beautifully, elegantly written.
