We like books that encourage mama to make funny sound effects like nee-nah, nee-nah and Maisy is a girl firefighter which we think is really cool.

Synopsis: The Maisy the Mouse book series hails from England and features cutesy drawings in primary colors with simple text chronicling the adventures of Maisy and her animal friends. In this sturdy boardbook, Maisy and her squirrel friend, Cyril, rescue a cat.

Bilingual benefit: Unlike many board books for babies and under 2 toddlers, “Maisy’s Fire Engine” has plot, interesting yet simple text, and English onomatopoeia (the fire engine goes “nee-nah”

Final Project: This is a quick and easy book to read. I wouldn't use this book in middle school but elementary it would be good. The book ids great because it is showing little girls that if they want to be a fire fighter they can do it its not just something boys can do.

This cute little board book has lots of fun sound effects that you can make while you are reading it. I love that Maisy is a fire fighter, because girls are also fire fighters! Mostly they aren't fighting fire, but are actually rescuing a kitty.

My kids enjoyed this board book, they both really love firetrucks. The story is cute, a problem pops up and they need to help out and solve it.

My toddler loves the pictures and stories. He wants to be read over and over again without getting bored. He loves making same sounds as I read it.

Gabriel was a bit bored with it & they only saved a cat, didn't put out one fire! I like more truth in the books I read to G. The only good part? MAISY's a firewoman!

Great one for a toddler who loves everything fire truck, firefighter, fire house, etc.... The sounds are a great way to remember the book when it's not right beside us.
