We all hear about how dementia affects the patient but how does it affect the caregiver and family members?

This book goes into one’s journey about being a caregiver to her husband of 45 years who was diagnosed with FTD. The ups, downs, fight or flight, and everything in between.

I may be partial about this book as this is my mother’s journey with my father’s 10 year battle of FTD. It will make you laugh, cry, angry, and happy all in one. The frustration of finding a diagnosis just to find out you only have a few years.

I recommend this book to anyone who is, was, and could be a caregiver.

A friend of mine asked me to read this, that these people lived in the town she grew up in. It was so good but very sad as the writers husband got worse. I have several friends dealing with this very sad illness. I’m going to recommend it to them and I’m going to purchase a copy or two.
