This isn’t my usual genre at all, but I absolutely loved it! Elizabeth Jeffery has done such an incredible job with this story. It did take me a couple of chapters to get into, but once it got going I could not put it down.
Hanna is such a strong, brave main character and I was hooked by her journey. The twists and turns were brilliant—every time I thought I had it figured out, I was wrong, and I loved being kept on my toes like that. The supernatural side was done so well and added so much tension and excitement.
And the slow burn romance… wow. The way the dynamics between Hannah and the love interest kept shifting was just so addictive to read. There’s angst, communication, and chemistry that really pulls you in.
I stayed up far too late reading because I just had to know what happened, and that ending has left me desperate for book 2!
Elizabeth Jeffery has completely won me over with this one—I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Let me start by saying this is one of those books that proves the saying 'don’t judge a book by its cover.' Don’t let it fool you...this story has everything.
I got strong Twilight vibes throughout, but it still managed to be completely unique in its own way. The suspense, the supernatural elements, the shifters, the fae, the magic, and the twist with the love interest? So good. And that ending... I’m still reeling. I’ll admit it: I’m a Lucas fan through and through.
The story is well thought out, the characters are developed and memorable, and the plot keeps you turning pages. So, if you’re craving all the best parts of a shifter romance, plus a strong storyline and characters you’ll actually fall in love with, I definitely recommend Changes.

where do i even start with this book?
arhh, this has been one of the best books I've read this year. i didn't want to put it down, and when I did put it down, it was all I was thinking about. why did it need to end, and where is the next book already?

I received an Arc copy of this book from the author. I typically do not grab for this genre of book but I’ve been venturing out lately. So glad I gave this one a chance. I couldn’t get enough of it. The ending has me on edge and I can’t wait to finish Hanna’s story in the next book. Elizabeth Jeffery is a phenomenal writer!
I was a huge fan of Twilight and this book gave those vibes (minus the vampires of course). Typically I’m not into smut, but this had just the right amount to not make the reading uncomfortable.

This book had everything…
We meet Hanna a young girl who’s been through the system and has had a really shitty start in life with some big trauma she moves to a new town where she’s been given a great opportunity with a job and accommodation but things quickly turn sour.
The town starts having animal attacks and Hanna being a queen fmc takes it upon herself to get involved which is when she meets rich the towns police officer.
A lot happens in between and Hanna moves in with rich for protection and gets close to his family especially his brother Lucas 😉 😉
Anyway ima not be giving this story away but it turns real good and Hanna has to find some things out about herself it’s an amazing book that keeps you drawn in.

It took me a little while to get into this, but once Hanna started digging into the strange things happening in Northcrest, I was hooked.
This isn’t your typical small-town romance. The tension is thick, the characters are layered, and there’s a paranormal undercurrent that grows with every chapter. Hanna is strong, smart, and damaged in a way that makes her feel real. Rich is the broody, closed-off cop with secrets he’s not ready to share. And then there’s Lucas. The brother. The chaos. “She wouldn’t, would she? Who was he fucking kidding, of course she would.”
This book was really fun to read. It’s a mix of a paranormal romance and almost a murder mystery in a way I haven’t seen before, which meant a lot of it was unexpected (but in a good way). The FMC (Hanna) moves to a new town to begin working in a museum, after aging out of the foster care system. It did a good job at showing the effects of trauma, and there were definitely solid signs of PTSD in the form of nightmares and flashbacks. I always appreciate good representation and, as someone with PTSD myself, this did a good job at portraying those things. I enjoyed getting to know the different characters, although there were definitely some I would have liked to see a bit more of.
If you’re looking for a unique story, then you’ll enjoy this. Especially if you like: wolf shifters, found family, betrayal, mystery, mental health representation, fighting training, grief, a feisty FMC, all the drama, and kind of a love triangle?💜

I was gifted this book and read it as a buddy read with the lady that gifted it to me.
I’m so glad I read it. Easily one of my top reads of the year so far. The story was unique and I fell in love with the characters! There was plenty of intrigue and I loved the writing style.
Plenty of twists and turns and character development for the fmc as well.
It was a nice change of pace with a lot of other romantasy books as well. While the story revolves around supernatural characters, they’re not all your run of the mill ones. Yes there is mention of fae but the one we see isn’t like who we’ve seen before. Rather than werewolves it’s shapeshifters who take wolf form (yes there’s a difference).
The author is so nice as well. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in book 2.

I received this ARC from Elizabeth Jeffery and can finally give my thoughts. It’s a 4 out of 5 stars for me and that’s just because I found the pacing at the beginning to be a bit slow but once you get into the meat of it (sorry) then it was very hard to put down. I’ve experienced topics and themes like this in separate books but having them put together and working as well as it did was such a pleasant surprise. I grew to like Hannah a lot and Lucas is my ride or die from the moment he was introduced. Hard to ignore a man who can cook. Yes the depictions of some of the graphic scenes might not be to everyone’s taste but I liked that the author didn’t shy away from it because it really gave the feel of real danger. I look forward to her next instalment

I like how the author writes in a simple yet vivid way that makes it easy to picture everything. I also loved the unexpected twists that kept me curious the whole time. I could never guess what was coming. The ending completely caught me off guard and left me wanting more, so now I’m really looking forward to the next book.

Phenomenal!!! The synopsis does not do it justice, this book is not at all what you expect! you get vampire diaries vibes to begin with and then there's just plot twist after plot twist. Betrayal, romance, spice! The love interest is a puppy dog and I love him and I really hope that book 2 does not end up like an ACOTAR situation. if you know, you know!

Well firstly, ends on a cliffhanger 😲
Secondly this is my first werewolf/Fae book.
I enjoyed it, especially the fight scenes.
Wasn't sure how I'd feel about it being written in 3rd person but again pleasantly surprised that I found it easy enough to read.

This was a phenomenal book about a broken girl who finds her power to take down the Lycans who would do her harm. She finds herself, a found family and love. It doesn’t come easy. The cliffhanger of an ending had me flipping pages to see if I missed something. I cannot wait to see what book 2 has to offer!!!!

Hanna is badass from her past trauma but gets even more kick ass by the end.
I couldn't put this down and got grumpy when I had to do adult stuff.

Action packed, fantasy, slow burn spicy romance! This book is incredible. I absolutely loved Hanna’s character and was obsessed with Lucas. This book had everything in it and I felt so many emotions throughout. I am now so excited for book 2!!

I got this as an relaunch arc prior to book two coming out and I cannot wait for book two!!!
This story follows the main FMC as she moves to a small town for a new job when bodies start dropping including those close to her. Intrigued she inserts herself into the investigation and the lead police officer, which is where she discovers the world of Lycans and Fae are real and she has put herself right in the middle of it all.
Whilst there is romance this is slow burn with a little spice. The story is focused on the characters and their development with a developing love story.
This was an unput downable book except life and personal things got in the way but every time I picked plot up I was straight back in without losing my place or pace. I would recommend this book. I was slow to warm to the FMC Hanna as I found her a little annoying and frustrating…. But her story was interesting. Thank you to Elizabeth Jeffery for the opportunity to read your book and the amazing PR package I received and thank you @Wings&Words for the ability to read some amazing arcs and relaunches this one included

Jeffery writes her characters with raw honesty, letting their flaws breathe instead of polishing them into perfection. The result? Characters that feel real, messy, and deeply human. I found myself rooting for them even when I wanted to shake them and yell, “PLEASE make better choices.”
The pacing is steady but intentional, allowing the emotional moments to hit harder. Themes of growth, loss, and self-discovery are woven beautifully throughout the narrative without feeling forced or preachy. Every “change” feels earned, not convenient.

I could not put this book down and finished it in one day!
Obsessed.
If you love it when mmc's say 'you're mine', then you will love this book! The way Lucas protects Hanna and defends her from the beginning is such goals!
I love that there are multiple supernatural species in this book and how they are portrayed!
Knew Verity would be Lycan, she just gave off Victoria vibes (twilight).
100% recommend this to my twilight girlies!

This book was amazing from the very first pages it pulls you and keeps you hooked in its claws until the very end I absolutely loved it so so much and can't wait to find out what happens next.

Now when I say I devoured this, I really did. I started last night and finished it today. I couldn’t put this down!
The story focuses on the FMC Hanna who has had a life of trauma and moves to a new town to start a new life and leave behind her past. Everything quickly becomes apparent that this town has a hidden secret as does the world and she’ll be a part of it in no time. Supernatural creatures exist and always have, right under our noses.
There are a couple of main male characters and damn me, Lucas is the most golden retriever book boyfriend.
Even the side characters gave a lasting impression and you either loved or hated them from the get go!
The plot gripped me from the beginning and did not stop, it was paced so well with twists and turns. I did guess one of them but the rest were a total surprise. The slow burn was delightful and when it hit the spice, I wanted to be Hanna. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t full of spice with it being a slow burn but honestly the slow burn built heavily from the first time they met, the tension building to the flirty banter and all the way to their relationship progressing it was just everything, though I will happily say this book didn’t need it if Elizabeth had decided to not write the intimate scenes but am I glad she did? ABSOLUTELY, I’ll take ten more please Elizabeth 😰 with that being said the rest of the book was so well written and the spice just enhanced that!
The character development I really really enjoyed. They both became who they needed to be and made sure everyone around them knew who they needed to be, who they were and were able to bring them up to the level that they knew they needed to be to face the obstacles that lay ahead and it was refreshing.
This was my first ever shifter/wolf/lycanthrope book and I’m so glad it was. The only reason I took half a star off was for it being in 3rd person. Sometimes I think it makes it a bit harder to connect with the characters but it didn’t with this one due to @elizabeth.jeffery.author writing style, the scene settling, plot, the characters. It was a small town you could fall straight into and imagine being there.

The slow burn was delightful and when it hit the spice, I wanted to be Hanna. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t full of spice with it being a slow burn but honestly the slow burn built heavily from the first time they met, the tension building to the flirty banter and all the way to their relationship progressing it was just everything, though I will happily say this book didn’t need it if Elizabeth had decided to not write the intimate scenes but am I glad she did? ABSOLUTELY, I’ll take ten more please Elizabeth 😰 with that being said the rest of the book was so well written and the spice just enhanced that!
The character development I really really enjoyed. They both became who they needed to be and made sure everyone around them knew who they needed to be, who they were and were able to bring them up to the level that they knew they needed to be to face the obstacles that lay ahead and it was refreshing.
This was my first ever shifter/wolf/lycanthrope book and I’m so glad it was. The only reason I took half a star off was for it being in 3rd person. Sometimes I think it makes it a bit harder to connect with the characters but it didn’t with this one due to @elizabeth.jeffery.author writing style, the scene settling, plot, the characters. It was a small town you could fall straight into and imagine being there.

I LOVE WEREWOLF SHIFTERS 🤭🤭🤭
Where to even start! So this book is a werwolf shifter murder mystery and freaking aye it did not disappoint.
The FMC is Hanna, she had a rough start, orphan, bounced around home to home and eventually landed in a not so good one 😳 my heart literally broke for her. She finishes college and moves to a town called Northcrest to be on a museum team. Not soon after she arrives the murders start happening. She joins a two person crusade to track down why the wolves are attacking and to figure out where their den is to stop the attacks.
In walks Rich, handsome cop who at first … seems to unreal, handsome…. Nice…. Hahahahahah little do we know!!!! Right! Anyway! They team up because he’s also a P.I in his spare time. She ends up getting hurt on one of their sleuthing missions and has to head home early. This is really where the story kicks up. A wolf attacked again .. closer to home. She is then forced to stay with rich and his brothers 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 yes ! Baby girl yessssss.
In walks LUCUS. 😍 he’s kind and sweet and dominant and just ughhhhhhh 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭 so dang fineeee. THE MURDERS KEEP HAPPENING, there were twists that I didn’t see coming !!!
Hanna ends up getting closer to Lucus bc shared trauma am I right? She finds out what’s really happening and what’s really behind the attacks and man o man was my jaw on the freaking flooooooooor.
Okay I’m going to stop that there before I give anything away bc I really freaking want to 🤭
Some things I loved about the book.
1. Short chapters! We lovvvvvve short chapters makes you feel like you’re flying through the book
2. Hanna’s character is so freaking real. Your heart breaks for her.
3. Character development ON POINT! Hanna and Lucus are so cute together.
4. Slow burn. No spice really until 70-80% through
5. The mystery and twists make you want to keep reading. I feel like some authors really miss the mark with that but this was a freaking page turner.
Things I didn’t like about the book
