This booklet is great for a new believer or for a short read on Heaven. I had already read most of the much more detailed book by Randy Alcorn and was aware of much of the material in this book. I did enjoy the short stories about his mother’s passing. I will likely order some of these for our church’s counseling ministry for new believers. Also there is a great chapter on salvation at the end so a wonderful resource for that reason.
We can only avoid the inevitable for so long, so the smartest course is to be prepared. And since none of us knows the exact time of our departure from this world, this small (73 pages) but important read is a clear and simple manual to guide us to the next.
This book is a brief overview of heaven, and not an in-depth study. I appreciated the emphasis on looking forward to heaven and the rapture of the Church - in our attitudes, thoughts, what we talk about. He also gave me some food for thought and scriptures I want to look into more.
Some of what he said, I felt he needed to lay out his biblical support in a more defined manner. And, although I think I know his heart, I felt that the section on salvation, especially the statement to sign, could have presented the gospel more clearly.
