Despite any issues I had with this story, YOU DID IT!!! 👏👏😉
I was unsure of my rating for this debut.
It was farfetched at some points and needed a better proofreading.
But, it kept my whole interest till the end, so there are my 4⭐️s !
PW was intense, dark, action packed, suspenseful and dirty🔥!
I won’t bother you with details, but Salem was a superwoman-badass heroine whom went much further in supporting and fulfilling her role!
I will definitely read the next part, Aziza’s story! 😉

I'm sorry to say that I found this story slow, boring, predictable, and too many errors. I really feel bad about saying it. This will be a crappy summary, but I don't feel like investing that much time to it.
Salem watched her entire family be murdered and her sisters raped, she was left for dead. After surviving the attack, she turned herself into a ninja and is out for revenge against the men who committed the crimes. Zane, despite being huge, always seems to be getting his ass kicked by her, so I don't really believe he's a good enforcer for his mafia leader.
Their paths cross, she cocks her head to the side a billion times, he takes her virginity harshly against a wall after she just killed someone, yada yada, the end.
I don't recommend.

Great book! It definitely broke my heart that ending. But I loved that Zane didn’t give up. I felt every emotion she went through. Some of it was hard to read but i absolutely loved how Salem is a complete badass and didn’t give up!

Okay this had SO many grammatical mistakes and formatting errors that parts of it were almost unreadable, but the story was good so I don't actually care 😬

amazing read
The story line was well written! Honestly one of the better books I’ve read lately. 8/10. Seems like there is some error with the book and my kindle so it can make it hard to read. If it weren’t for these mistakes I would rate it 10/10.

I love the FMC, she’s such a badass (could use her brain a little bit more tho)!!! There was a lot of potential to the story but the plot just didn’t do it for me!!

The story: I loved this plot! I was hooked from the very first chapter! If you’re into violence, murder, lust, and more murder then this is the book for you 🫡 This story was AMAZING!! I’m so shocked to see how this book is not more popular. I was happy to be able to have snagged this first book on a Stuff your kindle day, and it was so good I bought the other two books. I loved Salem and Zane’s story, and how one event could turn into a whole love story. There’s betrayal, lies, love, and lust, forgiveness, and protection. All of these things were perfectly wrapped up into a wonderful and heart wrenching story!
- My reviews are never based off of grammar, spelling, or anything of those sorts; but the writing (whether it my kindle or some behind the scenes stuff) had some errors and was repetitive at some points. There was repetition in clothing descriptions, world building, and POV’s, but it did not hinder this review in any way! If it needed anything, just a more thorough proofreading and it would be absolutely golden!
The characters: This book followed two killers; Salem and Zane. Salem is seeking revenge on the people who hurt her family and herself, and Zane works as a “hitman” of sorts for the Pakhan of the Russian Bratva. I loved Salem, as she was an absolute badass! Her resilience through the book and the character development was immaculate. Her first encounter with Zane was hilarious and I LOVED the banter between the two! Salem’s story is heartbreaking, and watching her grow and evolve into a stronger person was so satisfying and inspiring. Zane on the other hand, he’s just- he just is 🫠 Tall, beefy, and tattooed, HELL. YEAH! 🫡 If he wants a dog? I can bark 😏 He was a strong headed man who fell in love with Salem at first sight! And the evolving obsession that showed was incredibly captured. Ryan’s characterization of Aziza and other characters were great- it was the little things that were so fun! For example; the amount of socks she packs in her bag. Don’t even get me started on Tobias and Mila 🥹
The romance/spice: I gave this a 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 score on the pepper scale! It was rough, raw, and delicious! Size kink go brrrrr! I mean Salem is 5’4, and Zane is 6’9! LIKE GIRL! “There’s no way you’re fucking me with that thing.” LMAOOOOOOOOO Anyway, it was hot!! I loved how the dynamics switched up a bit, where Zane was dominating and Salem submitted while in other places it was reversed. Good boy/good girl? BOTH! JUST AHHHHH There were definitely some points where the romance and love between them was just so sweet and so healing. They both found solace in one another and I loved how Zane comforted Salem whenever she needed him.
Loved this book and I can’t wait to read the next two!!

Never a dull moment
Ryan writes with such passion, such detail, it's hard to look away when things implode. You want action, you got it. You want intense scenes that will have you cringing through the roughest parts, absolutely! You want spice like a four alarm fire, oof!!!

Hacia rato que no me obsesionaba leyendo un libro hasta la madrugada.
Me daba mucha gracia como el enemigo era predecible y tonto (habiendo hecho tanto daño en un inicio) y como nuestra prota lo daba todo, estando ella hecha c0nch4.
Me mataba como la bratva eran solo 3 personas y nuestra prota los dejaba en ridículos a todos siendo tan bestial la diferencia de tamaño.
PERO, era tan intenso como ella agarraba fuerzas de lo mas profundo de su ser roto buscando vengar a su familia de sangre y proteger a la nueva encontrada, que se hacían épicas las escenas de ella destruyendo el mundo.
La pareja fue FUEGO PURO, pero el siendo hombre(? la tuvo que cagar en cierto momento y lastimar los sentimientos de nuestra chiquita...
EN FIN, todo este libro fue un personaje protagonista, una piba menudita pero con una fuerza para destruir el universo. No dejo lugar para otro personaje ni a su coprota para brillar, fue ella y solo ella Y LA AME COMPLETAMENTE.

4.5 stars. Think I’m gonna love this series!
The plot - This is an enemies to lovers, secret identity, mafia, assassin romance.. found family also. with lots of truggers firstly so CHECK YA FUCKIN TRIGGERS PEOPLE. SERIOUSLY. Smut was like 3/5 on the spice scale. It’s a HEA in a series of interconnected standalones.
I was obsessed with this book. It is such a refreshing change from other parallel books in its genre where the woman is a damsel in distress. The FMC in this book can hold her own and the way she did it all.. and the way the MMC reacted… chills. Actual chills. Loved them.
The MC - Salem is our badass FMC, she’s an assassin, she’s a ghost, she is lethal and everything I want in a female lead. She took no shit, but also learned a valuable lesson about trust and communication.
The male counterpart - Zane is our morally grey MMC. His soul is blacker than the night sky but damn… if I didn’t want to climb him like a tree. He was everything, the perfect compliment to Salem’s personality.

Ok so question…how is Salem able to clock Zane in the face when he’s 6’6 and she’s 5’5? Wouldn’t she have to jump to reach his face?
I’m only 16% in and there are already too many inconsistencies with the story line and the editing is literally non existent. There are errors on every single page. Which takes you out of the story. If you’re going to spend time writing a 379 page book, wouldn’t you want to take pride in that work and get said book properly edited? I sure would!
In the beginning of the book Salem said she was 5’5. But on page 141 she says she’s 5’4. So she she shrank then? Be consistent with your shit!! Speaking of, why are we told constantly that Salem is 5’4 and 130 pounds? Like we get it! You don’t have to repeat it every chapter! The repetition in this book is insane!
There were chunks missing from the story line too. Like paragraphs were taken out but never got put back in making a lot of what was happening not make any sense.

I enjoyed reading this story and thought it was very intriguing. However, I felt like it was jumpy in sections and rushed or over described at parts. I sometimes didn't understand which character was talking to whom, along with a lot of spelling errors or mix-ups in story parts. I also felt like the MMC was portrayed in a soft way, considering he was a Russian Mafia Enforcer (This may be just me as I read a lot of Mafia books and like them strong and possessive) Besides that, I really enjoyed the storyline and will read the rest of the series as I am now invested in following the rest of the characters.

I liked this a lot actually. I was hooked from the dedication page because good for you. Fuck em all. I’ll be a fan for life to help you twist that dagger into the people who thought they were better then you. Congratulations I enjoyed this read. Salem is quite the woman and everyone should aspire to have her dedication and bravery. That’s a person anyone should get behind. Zane was lovely as well, but honestly he didn’t stand a chance and even with her injured he couldn’t hold a candle to her will power. Girl has too much behind her to be bested. Bravo 👏

I love that the FMC is a complete bãdà$$. While I love that she is I found it unrealistic that she would have survived as long as she did with all that her body had been through and with barely any recovery time.
I also got a little upset with how the guys dealt with the news of her secret especially considering that she had done so much for them and they just so easily left her like she was no one.
I look forward to reading the other books on this series.

I randomly came across this book looking for a strong FMC, and Salem was it! She was portrayed more like Wonder Woman with the number of fights she won, but it was refreshing to read a female who packs a punch. The plot was OTT and unrealistic, and there was too much going on in the end. I still thought it was entertaining and enjoyed how the MMC, Zade, didn't stand a chance when she fought him despite his size. He also really loved Salem. I’d recommend this quick read!

Salem is fantastic. I love a good revenge arc. And I love that she can take down any of the guys and force herself through any circumstances. Zane is great. He’s such a cinnamon roll but only for her. I did think he was going to be the badass in the book…but Salem hands him his ass many times. It was a good story and I enjoyed reading it.

This book is action packed and spicy. But it needs someone to go through for edits again. I felt like I was finding issues in each chapter. There is no stress of a pregnancy trope, and it is a mafia romance. I just feel like this book wasn't amazing.

I really enjoyed this book. The main characters are both badasses but have soft spots for eachother and don’t know why. Very dark and steamy for those who enjoy that I would definitely recommend!
