Starting from the moment Jake Parson swept her off her feet with an impromptu proposal and a surprise wedding she never expected there hasn't been a dull moment in the Parson household. In the beginning, their heat and attraction could spark a flame in a cold wet room. Now the constant swirling rumors of Jake's infidelities have put their relationship to the test. To make matters worse, he's connected to a crime of such magnitude that their lives will be changed forever. Did Jake do something unimaginable to keep his family together? Venus takes a leap of faith and makes a choice she hopes she won't regre
Great followup! Seems Venus finally found her voice again in this one. I was getting so tired of weak, meek Venus. Jake has caused so much pain in her life. I was so angry with him. Neglecting his family, being naive and caught up in situations with other women, and making Venus feel unimportant. By the end, I felt Jake was afraid of losing the best woman he has ever had and losing the respect of his family. He did the ultimate no-no....a deadly sin!
I thoroughly enjoyed Trisha Thompson's first novel because those type stories happen all the time. However, the last few books are far fetched and nobody has that type of luck. Please start another series
Nappily Entangled is the eighth book in the Nappily series by Trisha R. Thomas. The series has followed the courting, marriage, parenthood, kidnapping, business entrepreneurship, and reality TV career of Venus and Jake Parsons. Nappily About Us could have been the last book in the series. Everything ended on a positive note - justice was served, family was united, and Venus and Jake seemed to be in a good place. Nappily Entangled is an okay novel. Sirena is released from prison early due to overcrowding. Jake is living in LA taping a series. Venus and her newly found sister, Bliss, have started a natural hair business. Venus and Jake's marriage is on the rocks with the distance. Sirena is caught up with revenge, and their son Christopher ends up in the cross hairs. The suspense didn't kick in until midway through. This installment of the series didn't need to be done. This novel didn't leave me with the peace that the previous one did. Jake and Venus have become completely different characters who do things that you would never expect. Book 7 was the perfect end to the series. Book 8, while not a bad novel and at times is entertaining, could have been left out of the series.
Started off slow.. I really hated jake at the beginning..then by the end i was left stunned! I dont know what to say! I feel sad, mad, and angry at the same time, all towards Jake. I dont know if Venus should make a run for it or what, an what the heck happened to Bliss. I get the symbolism of her protecing Venus but man Im just in serious shock right now. I cant wait to see if there is going.to be a next book. I would love to see this book as a film. Ive read all of the books, and they all leave me breathless.
Needed more editing. The author switched from first person to third person telling the story and back to first person. Overall, I have enjoyed the Nappily books. Still waiting on the movie for the first book.
I love Trisha R. Thomas's "Nappily" series. She never disappoints with plot twists and turns in the story. She always leaves me wanting more! Fun, relaxing reads!!
