When a surprise snowstorm traps Taylor, a star defenseman, and Alice, the coach’s daughter, in a cozy cabin over the holidays, the magic of the season works its charm. With the outside world blanketed in snow, Taylor and Alice discover a surprising connection that blossoms into a beautiful romance.
Yet, as the snow melts and reality sets in, the challenges of their separate lives threaten to tear them apart. Taylor’s stringent need to follow his schedule and Alice’s struggle to find her own path seem insurmountable barriers. With her mother and sister planning her life at every step, Alice struggles to know who she is. Taylor seems to be the only person who can see her for who she truly is. Because of that he learns some things are worth changing for. While Alice learns to trust in herself and her own strength and desires.
This neurodivergent romance explores how true connection can weather any storm. Will Taylor and Alice find their way back to each other, or will the pressures of real life keep them apart?
Move over Wes Darling, Taylor Campbell is my new favorite Mary Warren hero! Holy smokes, the way Taylor loved Alice and her colorful chaos so entirely was perfection!
After missing his flight and being grounded, Taylor's coach offers him the use of the family cabin until the storm passes. Unbeknownst to Coach Wagner, his daughter Alice is foregoing Christmas with her family to reset before looking for a new job in the new year. When Taylor Campbell shows up on her doorstep, she's shocked. And, well, snowed-in shenanigans ensue.
The representation of autism and of ADHD in this is so perfectly done. Taylor's social difficulties and Alice's hyperfocus are expertly portrayed. With undiagnosed ADHD, Alice thinks of herself only as a "fuck up" and disappointment. Taylor helps Alice to be kind to herself and to understand that accommodations are not weaknesses, they help you to be your best self. Watching these two grow independently and together was lovely. Alice learns to embrace her colorful chaos and better understand how her mind works, while Taylor makes a concentrated effort to include Alice in his life, because he's gone for her from day one.
Goodness gracious, Mary Warren, the happy tears I cried for both Taylor and Alice! Read this. Read this. Read. This!
Taylor - I really gotta book a session with this fortune teller - I love how sweet and gentle Taylor is with her - The pressure she puts on herself about her career and work I feel deeply - She seems to be very insecure and not sure of herself but i love the rawness and how real she is, I really resignated with her when it comes to being a plus size woman in intimate settings, relationships , etc. - It feels refreshing and that i’m not alone. The way Taylor treats her is the way she deserves, warms my heart. Everyone deserves to be cared for like that. - the autism rep is well shown - I want to be snowed in with this man - Mary always has me delulu for these man geez - This book was so good, heart warming, spicy just enough of everything loved - Mary has done it again i’ll be patiently waiting for the next one - “All he did was love her, the easiest thing he’d ever done” - - - - - - - - - “He was home anywhere she was” Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🏒 Hockey Romance 🎄 Christmas Setting ❄️ Snowed In 🧠 Neuroduvergent Representation 🙅♀️ No 3rd Act Break-Up
This is definitely my favorite book in the Glendale Magic series. Taylor is precious, with the exception of a chapter or two, and is so protective of Alice. There were a few eyeroll moments, but essentially a very cute and safe read.
Thank you so much to the author Mary Warren for the complimentary copy of this eARC!
This book is out on Nov 25th, 2024
You all are probably getting tired of me raving over Mary's books but guess what - I WON'T! This is the 3rd book in the Glendale Magic series and maybe is now my new favorite? It is hard to compete against my loves Sasha and Conner. As much as I did enjoy reading Evie and Cash's story, I wasn't a huge fan of Evie. But with this one, I love Alice!!
"Baby, you should never be ashamed of any part of yourself...I like all your parts."
Thank you Mary for starting this book off strong with one of my favorite tropes - forced proximity! The book starts off with a flashback of them meeting at the hockey team's charity gala. Sparks are instant between them but he could reject her, she left. Months later by pure chance, Taylor and Alice end up snowed in at Alice's family cabin and well after a few days the chemistry was off the roof!
I just love how Mary wrote these characters and in the author's note in the beginning she explains the inspiration behind the characters. And she advised that Alice & Taylor have a little of her and her husband woven into them. I think it is super important because other readers are looking for themselves represented and this could be the book where they see themselves.
Alice and Taylor were so great inside their bubble but once they were back in the "real world" they needed to navigate how that would look. And it was a little rough in the beginning but once they communicated with one another it was so much smoother!
One of my favorite moments (sorry it's a long one) comes from Alice and it really just sums up beautiful her insecurities that was scattered throughout the book. I really resonated on Alice on a few levels especially as someone who feels like they might have a touch of ADHD (which is a form of neurodivergence) and so I really could relate to the below:
"All three of the women examined the necklace. It was viberant, multicolored star pendant she'd made with small crystals and resin. It felt good because this was her own piece. And it was a splash of the color she craved. But she'd been told her whole life her outfits were too loud, she was too loud, her body was too much, her entire existence was too much. Which was so disorienting - because how could she be too much and feel so invisible at the same time?"
Overall I just could not stop reading this! This only took me two days to read but I probably could've knocked it down to a day if life hadn't gotten in the way. Alice had such a full development from start to finish especially when it came time to dealing with her mother and sister. I wish we got to see more of Taylor with his family but I understand space constraints. I love how Taylor kept on encouraging Alice to be her true self. When she wavered for a moment, Taylor did not know how to react to the change. He just loved her so much for who she was and she eventually does stop questioning it.
You could read this book as a stand alone but I recommend reading in order starting with Reclaiming Kate.
Check this book out if you love forced proximity, boy obsessed, (looking for) neurodiverse characters and of course hockey!
I still need to read Cash, but I’m glad I was able to read this as if it was a standalone.
I’m love the face that we didn’t have to wait until the middle, or almost end of the book for the main characters for get together. Not so much for the spicy stuff, but the fact they found each other.
It really struck a cord with me when Alice was describing some of her past “relationships”. I’ve had relationships where everything was fine in private, but being seen together in public was a no-no. And I makes me sad to think that she thought of herself has a “fuck up” just because she didn’t fit these molds that everyone was trying to put her in. I love that Taylor came along and showed her she was special and worth it.
Besides VERY FEW grammatical things I seen, this book was absolutely perfect! I’ve read Conner and now Taylor. I need to read Cash and I can’t wait for the next one either!
First off I have to say thank you! I'm so happy I got to ARC this book. I will most definitely be getting a hard copy for my bookshelf. This was awesome. I absolutely loved characters. I feel like I may relate a little bit more than I anticipated to Alice. Definitely a little bit of an eye-opener for me. But this book *chef's kiss*
I love the way these characters show up, Communicate and love each other for how they are. I'm sitting there kicking my feet, squealing, Love it! I was so happy that Taylor could help instill so much self-confidence in Alice that she was able to stick up for herself to her family grow and do things that she loves. I love the way Alice took the time to understand how Taylor operates and thinks and loves him for him. Such a good read! Run don't walk to add this to your TBR
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book tells the story of Taylor (the third hockey player in the series) and Alice (the coach's daughter).
Christmas, snowed in, cozy time = spicy time.
A different story from the previous ones but with the same essence: acceptance, love and setting boundaries. It also shows us the importance of accepting the differences between us and supporting each other.
I didn't just read this book, I felt it (sometimes I even cried). When I read Alice's POV it was like I was reading about myself (so I thank the author because she gives me hope to find my Taylor).
I love this book so much! It's officially my favorite in the series. Taylor and Alice are both amazing characters. I adore them and their relationship. They're just so perfect for each other. Plus, the autism and ADHD rep is fantastic. I definitely relate and truly feel seen! If you're looking for a holiday romance that will make you swoon and cry happy tears, then this is for you. I highly recommend it!
“Taking in this perfect moment. Some moments in life are so special you know they are going to be lifelong memories, and this is one of them. I’ll always remember the perfect kiss in the snow with my colorful girl,”
I loved the growth and relationship between Taylor and Alice. If you are looking for a hockey holiday romance with a plus size FMC and Autisum / ADHD rep, this book is for you.
I felt so seen in this book, not only with the FMC being a fat woman, but also because of her undiagnosed ADHD. I loved Alice so much. Taylor was great too, but Alice was me, and I love that I love her. It was healing.
This was a quick, spicy & sweet read! I really liked the insta love/lust aspect of Taylor and Alice. Their connection was perfect imo and they balanced each other so well. The autism and adhd rep were great and I loved how they both helped the other out while navigating their new relationship.
Definitely recommend this one if you like a quick read that has: hockey player mmc, plus-size fmc, forced proximity via snowed-in, coach's daughter, neurodivergent rep, found family, mental health rep, inexperienced fmc (first time scene), fun w/ toys, spicy and super sweet scenes, he falls hard and fast.
My two favorite things: the way Taylor made sure to prioritize Alice after he realized his mistake (the text reminders omg!) and Alice learning to embrace her colorful personality and speak up for herself.
Thank you to the author for the e-ARC! Review is my honest opinion.
Another great instalment in the Glendale Magic hockey romance series that features an autistic defenseman, Taylor and the coach's plus size virgin daughter, Alice who constantly feels like a screw up that doesn't live up to her mother and sister's high expectations for her.
Taylor and Alice find themselves snowed in together over the holidays at Alice's family cabin where they have a steamy few days and fall hard for each other only to have things go off the rails when they return back to real life in the New Year.
I love how supportive Taylor is of Alice, her art and her colorful personality, always encouraging her not to dim her magic to please others. There's excellent neurodiversity rep and character growth as Taylor learns how to be in a relationship and Alice learns to be kinder to herself, embrace her passion for art as a viable means of income and investigate an ADHD diagnosis.
With a fantastic cover and fun cameos from past characters (including the infamous fortune teller), this is a new favorite from indie author, Mary Warren. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book and all opinions are my own. Highly recommended for fans of authors like Kayla Grosse, Olivia Dade or Amy Award.f
Thank you so much to Mary Warren who sent me an eARC of this book.
While contemporary romance isn’t my go to out of the romance genre, if I’m going to read one it had better be a sports romance. I saw promotions for this book on Instagram and loved the included representation of a fat fmc and neurodivergent main characters. I couldn’t wait to jump into a novel with characters who might look, sound, and act like me.
This is a very sweet (and spicy!!) holiday romance that spans December through February. Our FMC is the hockey coach’s daughter who ends up spending her holiday alone in her family’s cabin. Our MMC is one of the star hockey players who happens to be autistic. His scheduled down time is extremely important to his routine and also maintaining the precious balance of his social battery.
This story was deeply personal to me, and in some ways that made it even harder to review. I was diagnosed autistic earlier this year, and while not every autistic person (or fictional character) experiences their world in the same way, I related to both characters on very deep levels. This story does not shy away from how neurodivergent traits can be absolute gifts that also come with learning curves about navigating life and relationships around you. I openly sobbed through a few scenes, knowing exactly how characters felt, and why their actions had seemed appropriate in the moment, but potentially harmful in hindsight.
I enjoyed that we got to watch our characters navigate more than just a blissful Christmas snowed in together. We watched them return to the real world, grapple with New Years resolutions, and experienced them settling into new routines together. I loved that our FMC is an artist who goes through such a beautiful mental transformation throughout this story. The MMC helps her to see her differences through a more positive lens, and introduces the idea that asking for help or using aids isn’t a bad thing.
Overall I thought this was a beautiful story about these two characters, who are dreadfully underrepresented. My one and only complaint is that I personally didn’t mesh well with the writing style. Because I received an ARC I’d be very curious to go back and pick up a finished novel by this author to see if there are any major differences in the writing, or if this is in fact a true representation of the author’s voice and style. If that’s the case, I’m so happy I was able to read and review this book, but I probably wouldn’t read more from this author in the future, though I do encourage other readers to give these books a try!
Before I begin, I would like to thank Mary Warren for allowing me to read her new book, Taylor, which is the third book of her Glendale Magic series and is available on Amazon.
Taylor is the star defenseman for the Glendale Magic hockey team. Alice is his coach’s daughter. During the Christmas season, they find themselves trapped in Alice’s family cabin due to a snowstorm and begin a friendship that grows into romance. When the roads and sky is safe to travel, both Alice and Taylor managing their current lives appears to have caused a strain in their new relationship. Alice has to deal with her mother and sister pressuring her to live a certain life, and figure out who she is under their expectations. Taylor follows a strict routine as a way to balance his time on and off the ice, but he seems to understand who Alice is. Can Taylor find a way to change some aspects of his regimen to pursue a relationship that he wants? Can Alice learn what she wants to do and have the confidence to live the life she chooses?
I absolutely adored this book. You have Alice, a gorgeous, hardworking, kind, and artistic young woman that does her best on whatever she’s worked on and make her family proud. You have Taylor, a talented, kind, considerate, driven young man who has autism and tries to balance doing things that help him thrive and spend time with those he loves. It was wonderful seeing familiar faces from the previous books, especially how the young women interacted with Alice. I liked how open Alice and Taylor were with each other not only when they were snowed in at the cabin but when they cleared up unintended miscommunication between them. The way they supported each other was very sweet, and I definitely related to both Alice and Taylor in terms of either being or potentially being neurodivergent. I also felt for Alice when she struggled figuring out not only what she wanted to pursue for her career, but also how she wanted to live her life. I cheered on both of the main characters as they grew stronger individually and together throughout the story. Overall, if you like wonderful found family dynamics, humor, Christmas cheer, rainbows, awesome neurodivergent representation, healthy relationships, and sweet hockey player x coach’s daughter romance with a lot of spice. Here’s the link for more information: Taylor: A Holiday Hockey Romance (Glendale Magic Book 3) - Kindle edition by Warren, Mary. Contemporary Romance Kindle eBooks @ Amazon.com.
Taylor is the third instalment of the Glendale Magic series, following the relationships of the players on the Glendale Magic hockey team. I loved both Connor and Cash and was really looking forward to Taylor, and it did not disappoint! This instalment begins with Taylor and Coach Wagner's daughter, Alice, getting snowed into the Wager family's cabin over Christmas, and friends, this is the perfect little Christmas romance!
This book might be titled Taylor, but this is also the story of Alice and how she finds herself. As an artistic person, I related to her feelings of not being good enough and that business is hard! I also found this such a refreshing read that portrayed neurodivergent characters. Being accepted for who you are and how you live your best life is a strong theme here.
One of my favourite scenes was the bathroom scene - seeing Alice, Kate, Sasha and Evie all come together just made me happy! Women supporting women, but also plus sized women accepting and loving themselves and also supporting one another was so heartwarming - can we please have a short story just about the ladies please?
As with all of Mary Warren's books, the spice is spicing and was absolutely perfect! There are also so many sweet moments between Alice and Taylor, from alarm reminders to super cute nicknames. Alongside all of this, some delicate family issues are also explored - there are so many facets to this story and they all come together in perfect harmony!
Overall, I highly recommend this book. It is sweet, spicy, soul searching and heartwarming all at the same time. Grab a copy of this for your holiday TBR ASAP!
🤩 Another wonderful book from the Glendale Magic Series, and I absolutely loved reading Taylor and Alice's story.
🌈 Alice is hiding out in her family's cabin after getting fired, and not wanting to face her "perfect" family.
🏒 Taylor - defenseman for the Glendale Magic - finds out his flight is cancelled, and after hearing about his family's plan for Disney at Christmas, he happily takes his coach's offer to wait out the snow in his family cabin.
🫢 Oh yeah, and Alice is the coach's daughter!!
As always with a Mary Warren story, there's a sprinkle of magic and big dose of coziness in this holiday #hockeyromance
I was fortunate to receive an ARC of Taylor, and whilst I've loved everything Mary has written, THIS is my favourite book in the Glendale Magic series. There was so much of Alice that resonated with me, and my own self discovery. If you've ever felt like you're not enough AND too much at the same time, I encourage you to snuggle up with this story of opposites who figure out how to be themselves and together.
Stop everything! I’ve officially fallen in love with Alice and Taylor. I’m just waiting for an invitation to move in with them—but I’ll be bringing a +1 and a dog.
I wish everyone could find a partner as caring and wholesome as Taylor. He’s just perfect—even in his imperfections—and you can’t even be jealous of Alice, because she’s just as lovely as he is. I have rarely read a story where a couple works so well together. There’s being meant for each other, and there’s Alice and Taylor.
Living with someone with ADHD, I quickly recognised the signs in Alice, and often there’s no one better than a neurodivergent person to recognise another neurodivergent person. I also really liked the way Taylor’s autism was portrayed. You can see that he has learnt a lot of mechanisms to live with it as ‘simply’ as possible. However, what I liked most was Alice’s understanding of the difficulties he faces because of his autism, which is not obvious to everyone.
In short, I love them with all my heart, and now I can’t wait to discover Sven: A Hockey Romance when the book comes out.
This book is by far my favorite in the series so far!
Taylor is a hockey player who is so sweet and swoony. He is also extremely protective of Alice. Alice is a plus-size babe figuring out her way in the world. She is sweet and super creative!
Alice has a hard time keeping jobs because her soul wants to create, not sit in a cube. I honestly relate to this so much that it's not even funny. She is literally me, although I can't draw at all. I also related with Taylor over things as well, like having strict routines and the need to be home alone after being around people for too long. I truly felt connected to both of them the entire way through this story.
When they are both forced to stay in a cabin together due to a snowstorm over the holidays, I love that they don't fight their growing connection and instead let it flourish. Their dynamic felt very real, and I love that they both were able to set boundaries in their relationship early on. Their growth was so perfect, and the alarm reminders made me want to cry because it was so sweet. 😭
You will enjoy this book if you like: - Holiday / Christmas romances - Hockey player x coach's daughter - Autism x neurodivergent rep - Forced proximity - Cinnamon roll mmc - Plus size fmc - Cozy vibes
“All that was left to do was enjoy the ride.” ******************** Tropes: Forced proximity, plus size and neurodivergence representation ******************** Triggers: Adult language, explicit spicy scenes ******************** Alice is a square peg in a round family, constantly being pushed by those round pegs to fit into their world. Unbeknownst to her family, Alice heads off to the family’s remote cabin to spend the Christmas holiday alone. Taylor is another square peg, who finds himself stuck in town due to a cancelled flight. A chance run in with his coach, who happens to be Alice’s father, finds him heading to that same cabin, expecting it to be empty.
The rest is fairly standard from the trope. Ms. Warren writes it with charm, keeping us engaged and rooting for the building relationship between Alice and Taylor. The incorporation of an autistic male hero was written thoughtfully and sympathetically, without resorting to being patronizing.
Movie rating R, cover is 4/5, overall 4/5, romance 3/5, violence 0/5, 3/5 for spice. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion and I can state honestly I recommend this title.
Taylor and Alice are so perfect together, it’s so beautiful to see them come together. Taylor is a professional hockey player and he runs right into Alice at an event. Alice is the daughter to Taylor’s coach and he’s instantly drawn to her and her colorful hair and outfit. In Alice’s mind, Taylor is perfect but would never be attracted to her or interested in the least bit. They may dance together and he may give her lingering looks, the way he holds her may feel like he’s attracted to her but she knows guys like Taylor don’t go for girls like Alice. Alice has been told she’s too much, too sensitive, flighty, forgetful and just made to feel like she’s lacking. When both Alice and Taylor find themselves snowed in a cabin together, alone over Christmas things heat up! Taylor lets Alice know that he’s got autism and Alice confesses she’s a virgin. The way Taylor makes Alice feel loved and seen is beautiful! He loves her even when others think she’s too much and also not enough at the same time. Alice shows Taylor that he can stick to his routines he cherish’s while making time for Alice and nourishing their relationship at the same time. Such a beautiful story!
Taylor: A Holiday Hockey Romance by Mary Warren is a part of the Glendale Magic series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but it will spoil who gets with who from previous books! With the holiday season coming up, this book is the perfect spicy holiday rom-com! I already love Mary Warren's writing styles and presentations in her book! Fat girls in romance will always make one want to read a book, but this book also has queer and neurodivergent representation, and I appreciate the care and causal way that she handles these subjects.
I appreciated the truth and reality of Alice and Taylor's relationship and how they struggled to figure out how to be together and show love to one another; these acts felt authentic. This book warmed my heart when Alice accepted what Taylor's brain worked and how lovingly Taylor supported and pushed Alice to be herself, that she is enough, and that she deserves love. This book was a fun, easy romance read with all the spice. Alice's confidence-building warmed my heart, and I highly recommend reading this book.
Thank you to Mary Warren for the Advanced Reader copy!
I’d been in a major book slump and in the middle of a medical issue when I started reading this book. I wasn’t sure how my mood would affect how I absorbed the characters. Instead of it being a negative experience, Mary was able to bring the personalities of the characters into a light I needed in order to not be frustrated. It’s not a first person pov and I know that’s important to some people but for me it helped to see them as the saw themselves and as others saw them which I feel was a big aspect of the book. It wasn’t just a hockey romance where you get one side until the spice kicks in and that held my attention. I also loved how she incorporated the sport. You were at the game watching and experiencing and I love that in sports books so much. If they play I wanna see them play! Seeing both of them make efforts after the initial bump in the road added to their character development in a realistic way because no one makes changes and it automatically becomes routine and that was wonderful to see. The set up for Sven has me ready to see what’s next.
omg omg mary warren outdid herself with this one😭😭 i wasnt the hugest fan of her first two books cash and conner but they were good at representing plus size women in books, however this one?? mary you put your self into this book and im in love. the witty banter, the snowed in trope, the coaches daughter x player, the forbidden romance, the neurodivergence rep omg you hit all the spots. I LOVED ITTT.
HE SET ALARMS IN HIS PHONE TO CREATE A ROUTINE FOR HIMSELF TO TALK TO HER BC OF HIS NEED FOR SCHEDULES 😭😭
taylor realized his wrongdoing and mistakes and he immediately fixed them. he made alice feel loved welcomed etc and even disrupted his normal plans and routine to show her how much he was in love with her
fav quote: All I know is I see one of the kindest, most creative people in front of me, who so wrongly believes she’s a fuck-up and too much for people. And that’s all wrong. You’re the perfect amount -taylor
.5 star for hockey 🥅 1 star for for hea 🩵👩🏻🤝👨🏼 1 star for plus size rep🩷 1 star for adhd/autism/neurodivergence rep 1 star simply for the fact that after they started dating
4.5 / 5 stars total (rating 4 stars for good reads rating since unable to do half stars)
Taylor and Alice's love story is so sweet. Our MMC has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is one of the top defensemen in the NHL. Our FMC is the coach's daughter, but has struggled to fit in and exist in her family and life in general. Though forming this relationship with Taylor has opened Alice's mind up to the good things about herself. All while Taylor is adapting to change that Alice brings to his very regimented life, but in a great way.
These two are perfect together. I love that they are willing to allow change and learn about each other's struggles in order to make their love and relationship work.
Mary has written great representation of someone with ASD (though it is different for everyone) and neurodivergence. I also love that her FMC is unapologetically plus size and this isn't some plot point. She just is!
If you enjoy a sweet and spicy holiday romance with great representation and strong characters, get this book!
Ahh Mary Warren has done it again with a book that would make you go weak at the knees with butterflies in your stomach and an ache somewhere if you know what I mean.
What I loved most about this book is seeing the workings of Taylors mind. He has autism but he doesn't let that stop him from living a wonderful life. I honestly loved this because I knew just how much he felt for Alice and how hard he tried to be present in the relationship. He Never failed to make me swoon.
Alice was a delight but the main thing that I didn't like about her was character was the amount of times she kept putting herself down. Self doubt really is a b*tch and I understood completely where she was coming from but her doubting herself a lot when it came to how she though Taylor felt about her made me sad a bit.
I loved this story though. I loved the connection these two had and how much love they showed one another.
Thank you Mary Warren for sending me an ARC of her latest book in the Glendale Magic series! This was fantastic! I loved Taylor and Alice and I was kicking and giggling at how cute they are! Oh my gosh and the neurodivergent representation was amazing! This is one of those cozy holiday stories that I just want to live in and stay with this couple!
Alice truly is a rainbow! She is sweet and kind and sunshine and seems like the type of person who will try her hardest to be positive as much as possible! It is beautiful to see her find her confidence and love for herself throughout the story. Especially her confidence in her skills as an artist!
Taylor is so sweet! I loved him so much! He is autistic and I love that this was not shown as a negative for him. Yes it did make some situations a little harder to process but I loved how he handled and helped himself succeed. Especially the scene with his alarms! He is so sweet and kind to his team and especially to Alice!
Overall this story was so beautiful and sweet! I highly recommend it!
This book is part of the Glendale Magic series (book 3) Beautiful, sweet and heartwarming! Hockey romance between the defenseman and the coach’s daughter love this! This was another amazing addition to the Glendale Magic series and my favorite one so far. Taylor and Alice are opposites that complement each other amazingly and they are just so adorable together. Their romance had me head over heels in love with these characters and swooning so much swooning. Taylor decides to spend time at his Coach’s family cabin instead of on a family trip and Alice has the same idea to spend time at her families cabin to hideaway. Both decide to spend some time in the same place and that’s when things really heat up! I also love that we get to follow Alice on her self love and self confidence journey. I can’t wait to see if there’s going to be another book in this series! Thank Mary for this ARC!
I truly love this series and have been looking forward to this book since hearing it was in the works. I love that there is not only the fat representation and joy but that this one includes more neurodivergence. Coming into the book knowing those things I was so pleased at how thoughtfully these were treated in the characters. They are part of them and that’s how it should be! I can’t wait for more people to read about these experiences in such a positive light as I think it will bring greater understanding for how to interact with those who experience this as who they are. Getting to see the characters grow together and learn how to support each other was beautiful and it was such a wonderful love story. The joy I felt when reading it was overwhelming, and the spice was perfect! They are such a hot couple and I loved every minute! A must read!
Thank you so much to the author Mary Warren for sending me an ARC of her latest book in the Glendale Magic Series!
I absolutely love this book. This is another amazing addition to the Glendale Magic series and my favorite one so far!! It was sweet and so beautiful. ooh and it was very spicy. I love Taylor and Alice's story so much. Their romance had me swooning.
Watching Alice find herself was everything. Taylor was just amazing. He is autistic and I enjoyed that this was not shown as a negative in the story. The way he loved Alice even when she thought she was too much and also not enough,He helped her find her magic.
One of my favorite scenes was when all the girls were in the bathroom. Women supporting each other made me smile a lot.
This definitely is a great cozy winter read.if you looking for one look no more! This is the perfect little Christmas hockey romance!
I just finished this ARC I received from Mary Warren and oof all the feels. As someone with ADHD I got really emotional about this, having always felt similar ways as Alice does, not feeling enough or feeling like there’s something majorly wrong with you because you can’t hold down the same jobs as others and feeling stuck, like you have to fit into a box you were never meant to fit into. To feel seen and understood in a romantic story is incredible but to be seen as a neurodivergent Plus sized woman is everything to me.
Thank you for gifting us this spicy, holiday fuelled romance that is so incredibly fluffy and gorgeous. This was my favourite by far and I’ve rated all of the Glendale magic series highly so I think that says all you need.
