You'll find both simple and ambitious ideas here, and the many contemporary materials used here include broken crockery, tiles and mirrors, shells, pebbles, beads, gold-leafed and covered glass, unglazed ceramic and objets trouv's. You'll get full design guidelines for each project, and a special chapter that gives directions for making the mosaics and working with the various types of material that appear in the designs. Continuing on in the tradition of Fassett and Bahouth's needlepoint books, this is a trove of eye candy. Unreal photos that inspire in a multitude of ways.

Among the best mosaic books out there. Written from the perspective of mosaic as an art, rather than as an informal craft. Beautifully illustrated book. Recommend the hardback edition.
