I didn't read every page of this book. I use it more as a reference. There are some great points made in this book, which explains how childrens' minds work compared with adults, and how these differences cause most problems. Remembering these differences helps me talk to my daughter and discipline her in a more effective way. When I use the techniques in this book, I feel like I'm not just yelling at her and punishing her all the time.

Not a bad little book, a little long for its content (meaning, she could likely communicate the same message with fewer pages) but in a way that makes the book applicable to a wide-range of folks. A lot of information I already knew, but mostly due to my graduate education in psychology. Some great tidbits of info, though.

Excellent parental advice.

A bit repetitive but has some useful tips and ideas. It is a nice change from the popular "child led" POV which short changes so many kids and families.
