Her honesty as she describes their interactions - mostly via text messages - is raw and soul-bearing. Being a devout Christian, Tammy tears herself apart trying to decide which path to take. She suffers a health scare at around the same time, which does nothing to help the situation and her fears for her future are palpable.

I'm sure many of us have been tempted to see if the grass really is greener on the other side of the fence, but when you get propositioned by a doctor, that's a whole different ball game. I've read all Tammy's previous books, so I do know something of her life. I was fascinated by this story, especially as she was facing a serious health scare at the same time. Well-written and thought provoking, I really enjoyed this and definitely recommend it.

Honest and Inspiring

I really enjoyed reading this book. The story feels honest and emotional, talking about struggles on faith, temptation, and fear. I also felt like I could see myself in some part of the story. Life and marriage can be really complicated at times. It can be a heavy and painful read for some people, I have to say. Some sections were a bit long and repetitive, but overall, it’s an inspiring story about forgiveness, faith, and finding strength.

I was hooked by the simple, but deep prose, and rumination, and even the fact Mike has a commercial diving license. Tammy pulls together a short and simple tale and covers that old taboo of temptation - as old as anything.

OK I did not realize what I was getting myself into! I also didn’t realize this was book 5 in a series, so now I need to go back to the beginning. This is very well written, it’s a true story, and super Duper messed up.

Tammy Horvath's candour in writing about the very real temptation she, as a married Christian woman, experienced made riveting reading. Health problems had been plaguing Tammy, undermining her confidence and leaving her vulnerable, so the inappropriate but flattering attention she received from a doctor made her struggle all the harder and very real. Would she or wouldn't she succumb? That is, of course, for the reader to discover. For my part, I have to say this book is very well written and unflinchingly honest. I found myself empathising with Tammy completely even though I haven't been in her position. That is surely the mark of a powerful writer! Highly recommended.

I had to keep reminding myself that we are all human and make mistakes. Tammy reveals a vulnerable side of herself (her need to feel desired) and even though she was tempted by sin and had a health scare, her prayers were answered.
