Bite sized cozy that you can finish in one sitting as readers guess along with Emma as she tries to clear her name when harsh food critic Greg Stanton dies after eating one of her tarts. He definitely does not have a shortage of enemies due to his professional life, but it is something darker in his personal one that did him in?

This was just awful. The grammar and spelling errors, the sentences that didn’t make any sense accounted for most of the book. I only finished it because it was short. Had it been any longer, I would have DNF’d it for sure.

This is my first book by this author. On to the fence about reading another one.

This page-turning quick read set up what I hope becomes a new series. Emma is appalled to learn that she is a suspect in a murder when a customer dies from eating one of her tarts. She decides to sleuth in order to clear her name. This novella has a satisfying ending.

I enjoyed meeting Emma and Det. Jason who at least didn’t threaten to arrest her for sleuthing. I wouldn’t mind reading more about these two!

Emma is a culinary expert not a murderer or is she? Who did this terrible deed, will it be solved in time. Full of suspense and danger, awesome story.
