I'm torn. Very torn. On one hand, the world-building is interesting and the premise is intriguing. On the other hand, Elsdon's characterization is generic and bland and seems to change when it suits the author, and therefore makes no sense. Rating this book wasn't difficult. Explaining why this book deserves five stars is, however, close to impossible. There's no point for me to give a walkthrough of the plot, because the plot is what the book's summary says; two men meet under unexpected circumstances and love appears. I got this book for free in exchange for an honest review through the DBML program of the M/M Romance group at Goodreads.

This book was way to dark and stronger element of BDSM then something I would read casually. I would have been happy with out the rack scene.
While the world building and detail of characters and setting was great, the aspect of the book made be feel uncomfortable. so while I liked it,it not something I see me reading again unless I am in the specific mood for it. If you like D
