Things tend to happen while you are alive. Some of these things can be terrible. Eventually, you might come to ask God about why this is happening to you. You pay your bills on time, sometimes you donate to charity, you go to church when you feel like it, and you do other things that a good person would tend to do.

Where in the World is God is a book by Reverend Harold L Senkbeil. It talks about different situations and discusses a lot of bible verses from the New International Version. I had some assumptions about this book going into it and from the title was able to discern that it could go one way or another. It decided to go the pro-religious route and discuss how to find God when it seems that all is lost or terrible. The cover hinted that it would go this route, but it is not initially obvious that the author is a pastor.

The book is slightly mawkish in the approach it takes. I tend to be cynical of religious stuff in general, but I wanted to give this one a chance. It is a book of prayers and a collection of sermons on various subjects. My greatest issue with the book is on me and my preferences. I bought this book since it was quite cheap; it was a deal where you fill a bag for 50 cents. I don’t regret my decision in that sense. The book is also quite short.
