This book serves a good purpose as a reference for equipment and conditioning for anyone interested in venturing into the backcountry. Be warned, Camron Hanes advises shooting your bow in your living room and Eastman’s publishing put a disclaimer in the beginning stating that the company is, “in no way responsible in the event of injury, death or loss suffered by you even if you choose to mimic Cameron’s less than intelligent “Living Room Practice Round” maneuver.”

Great book if your into wilderness elk or muley hunting. Good tips on gear and conditioning routines to do before your trek to the high country! Cameron is very passionate about western bowhunting and it shows in his works.

Awesome read with great stories and a huge amount of information. Really have to respect a good man with respectful and ethical hunting principles who can also put a perspective of these in a literary format. I enjoyed this book immensely
