War of Wizards (Secrets of Shadow Hill 3)
***** - 5 Star Review

Will the Prophecy be fulfilled? What will happen once it is? What about Patrick, where is he, will he find his one? These are just a few of the questions I had at the end of The Prophecy, book 2. Well all of my questions were answered, shredded to pieces, and then answered again. I didn’t think I would ever be so consumed by a young adult fantasy book but I was invested throughout the whole series.

Let’s start with Dalton and Ava. After the escape from the mountains, they’ve become an integral part of their coven taking on some leadership roles such as attending meetings and making decisions on the coven’s interactions with other covens. The idea to protect the world from evil still stood firm. Dalton and Ava had a pure courtship and wanted to follow the traditions of their coven which practices purity for all of its members. They were finally married and the Prophecy fulfilled; or so they thought.

Patrick went to Tahiti to meet Seraphina and help their coven protect the magical lake from the gremlins. That’s where he met his Kate, Seraphina’s daughter. He didn’t know what to think about the magnetism and attraction he had for Kate but the only thing he had to compare it to was Ava and Dalton. It was how he knew they were who the Prophecy was meant for; but what did that mean for him and Kate? Patrick has always had so many questions since found he had the power of the sword. But now he wonders if this means they both play a role in the Prophecy?
With new and challenging obstacle for them to overcome the fight for the greater good becomes a long journey for all involved. Clues, quests, riddles, and answers take over the book. There were tears; in certain parts there were tears. I hurt for them; I cried for them but I also laughed, shouted “I knew it” at certain parts and “nuh-uh, no way” at others.
Please read the conclusion of this great trilogy. I’m not going to give too much away because I want you, the reader, to experience all of it yourselves. Loyalty, trust, honor, we are one; that’s their motto and they live by it, breathe by it, and stand by it. S.P. Cervantes finishes the series with a 5 star read!!

A few favorite quotes:

“Whatever Yoda.” Hannah rolled her eyes at Connor. “I think that was really more of a Gandalf comment Hannah. Don’t you think Patrick?” Dalton bumped my shoulder.

“So I was thinking of trying one of the books in your library; “what about Fall in to You or the one I saw with an interesting cover. I think it was called Fifty Shades….” “No no no Kate. Not that one, not yet.” I can’t be responsible for the torment that book will put you through with Patrick gone.”

“Many centuries we’ve waited for all the pieces to fall into place just right. Too many pieces, too much time had passed. Do we even know good from evil anymore? Are the lines truly defined or have they become blurred over time?”

Received this from the publisher for a honest review.

Wow. Just wow. What a incredible and amazing ending. What these four went through to get to have a peaceful life is just so sad amazing wonderful. So many emotions will go through you as you read this last book.

Patrick goes through the most loss to get peace and to the one he is meant for. He does find love before the war but with the prophecy who knows if it is part of it or not.

Ava and Dalton marry and they have a few months before things get out of control. Out of control is a war. Ava gets a surprise but it makes them both happy. Unfortunately it also worries them. This was the same surprise Patrick and his bride Kate get. Only tragedy does occur and Patrick is trying to deal. hannah is there for him and helps him through the pain. Hannah and Patrick though get closer and begin to feel things but ignore it.

As Patrick, Dalton and hannah set off to find the other sword to help end the war to come, we see many things. Love, peace, happiness and acceptance. They learn so much on the journey but don't have time to deal. hannah and aiden finally marry but here tragedy hits again as Aiden protects Hannah and her sister. This is right before the war begins.

Patrick and Dalton become like brothers and fight side by side as Dalton deals with the loss of loved ones. Hannah shows her powers and Ava shows her protectiveness and determination as the war wages on.

As the war ends decisions are made and new loves are seen. We see a beautiful peace occur and happiness seep in for these four. They are bound beyond imagination and we see they are family and no one will come between their special closeness.

A amazing book on love, trust, protectiveness. A good vs. evil and trying to find peace and acceptance. The love of Dalton and Ava is so beautiful and Patrick and Hannah exploring their feelings is so wonderful to see. Such love and acceptance is amazing and the ultimate fight for peace is simply awe inspiring. A great way to end this chapter and trilogy. The writing sucks you in and has you root for these four to succeed and get peace and love for the ages.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Book #3 "War of Wizards" by S.P. Cervantes is definitely the best of all 3 in the series "Secrets of Shadow Hill".

I thought that after reading book 1 and 2 that I wouldn't be able to fall more in love with this couple, but I was wrong. The story of love, faith, hope and justice takes over you as you continue reading.

Ava and Dalton sure do have a lot to deal with as they try to live "normal" lives. But at every turn something or someone tries to get in the way. Their bond is unusual and in this world people struggle to understand what it means. Or what mysteries it holds.

I enjoyed the fact that Patrick made more of an appearance in this novel. As he meets someone new and swears to protect his newfound family. Sometimes I wonder what road the novel would have taken if his relationship with Ava had continued.

But I must admit, when I envision what Dalton looks like, I go weak at the knees.

The "finale" in this novel leaves you wanting more. I wanted to climb into the book and become a character. Just to experience the world that they all live in.

As you may have noticed, I hate giving away too much of the storyline but love sharing the emotions I felt when reading it, because thats what makes the book. The way it evokes feeling in you.

For a "non-reader" of fantasy novels, these 3 books blew me away. S.P. Cervantes knows exactly how to keep you riveted.

5 Bombs from me.
