What Darkness Waits

Rate this book
Robert Warden was dead for ten minutes.

It would've been better if he stayed that way. At least better for his son, Daniel.

To help his father's recovery, Dan takes his father into his home. Sixty-four-year-old Robert Warden doesn't need much help, though. He's getting better day by day. Getting healthier. Stronger. Younger.

What at first seems like a miracle becomes a nightmare as Dan’s most outlandish fear—his suddenly hale and somehow younger father might seduce his wife—appears to be coming true.

To stop the unnatural magic that has given his father renewed life and threatened his own, Dan must elicit help from The Revivalists, but this mysterious cult has its own agenda and Dan is about to learn that life is far scarier than death.

He's about to discover what darkness waits.

Also included is "The Devil Virus," a terrifying short story featured on the No Sleep Podcast, a tale which gives new meaning to brotherly love.

Like a lost episode of Tales From the Crypt, Chris DiLeo's latest is nasty, vicious, and coolly propulsive. Bonus with the short story The Devil Virus, a creepy and doom-drenched proto-version of the main story. If you like your horror with a bloodstained backhand to the face, check this one out ASAP. Keep 'em coming, Chris!
