The Lycanthrope Protection Agency #6
Fire And Moonlight
When childhood friends become enemies, can they find their way back to each other again?
When hunters slaughtered his family and the boy he loved betrayed him, Vicenzo “Vico” Salvatore lost everything. Years later, he is reunited with the boy he once loved—now a man—, and Vico finds himself with a pack never asked for, and haunted by memories of the love he shared with Eddie. All wolves need a pack to stay human and sane, and the more Vico distances himself, the more dangerous he becomes—to himself and others.
If Vico can't let a new family into his heart, he will lose himself to the feral madness of his wolf forever.
Eddie Turner hasn’t known freedom ever since his cruel uncle forced him to become a hunter of his own kind. But that all changes when he’s rescued by the Lycanthrope Protection Agency. Reunited with the man he once called his fated mate, Eddie’s determined to soften Vico's grumpy heart with smiles and patience.
One smoldering night is all it takes to turn them from enemies to something more, but just as the pair begin to dream of a future together, the past comes back to hunt them down. This time, Eddie and Vico must stand together as mates if they want to protect their found family once and for all.
Fire and Moonlight is the sixth and final book in The Lycanthrope Protection Agency series. It features childhood sweethearts turned enemies to lovers, a grumpy hurting wolf and his sunshine mate, found family feels, and a happily-ever-after. While this is a standalone, it is best to read Gabe and Max’s trilogy first, starting with To Hunt a Moonborn Beast.

This author is new to me, I haven't read anything by them prior to this book, and I have to say after reading this I'm intrigued by their writing. I'm curious about what else they've written. This book is the 6th book in this series, and can be read as a standalone, which is what I did. This book is written in a way that's completely understandable without reading the previous books, I never felt lossed or like I was missing something. I was completely invested in Vico and Eddie's story, and what a heartbreaking one it was.
When I started this book I was immediately immersed into the world this author created, I felt bad for Eddie having to uproot his life to move somewhere unfamiliar. But then he met Vico, and I was so happy for those two young men admitting their feelings for one another... But unfortunately that was only the beginning, and things were not happily ever after. I found the writing to be heavily detailed, the scenery was described in great detail, the action scenes were believable, and each and every character had their own personality and added depth to the storyline. Even the horrible, despicable people.
There were a few things that I picked up on that I wished was fleshed out a bit more. There were a lot of time jumps, and while they were pointed out when the time jump happened, it occured frequently, which made the story a bit confusing. I wish there wasn't so many jumps in time. Another thing is when this pack went to New Orleans to help Phillipe.. and when the bad thing happened, (I'm not going to spoil the plot), there was never a mention of what happened afterwards with Phillipe and his family. Which left me at a loss because that was a pivotal scene, and the person who was at the center of it got glossed over and forgotten. Other than those things, I enjoyed this story.
This story broke my heart, I wasn't prepared for the emotional upheaval that this book caused. I didn't know Eddie and Vico would have such a hard time being together, I also wasn't aware of all the people these two would lose. While I wasn't expecting for this book to be so gritty and dark, I still thought this book was amazing. I liked that they had to grow as individuals and then learn how to grow back together. These two men lossed so much and went through so much heartbreak, but then they found a pack who took them in and gave them a home, they gave them family again. I loved the found family aspect that was portrayed within this story! Ben, Issac, Gabe, Max, Zach, Ryan, and Izzy really formed a family and made sure Eddie and Vico knew that they were family too.

A lot happens in this book, and not all of it is good. So just keep that in mind and read the TWs prior to committing to the story.
This book spans from Vico and Eddie’s childhood to adulthood and encompasses a lot of trauma and pain. These men go through a lot and make some difficult decisions. This is by no means a low angst story. This is my first by this author but if you’ve read the previous books in the series you will likely be aware of this.
Vico and Eddie do get their HEA and a pack to call their own. It just takes a lot of effort to get there.
I will say although this could be read as a standalone, I do feel I would have had a better experience had I read the prior books in the series. I can definitely tell I was missing parts of the story but I didn’t feel confused, it just would have added to the experience.
*I received an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.*

So I think this book might be my favourite in the series. It was so emotionally charged throughout that you could feel Vico and Eddie's hearts breaking through iut the book, and their fight to get back to each other was incredible.
Eddie and Vico are what friends to enemies to lovers stories are all about. This book was full of heartbreak and sacrifice, but it was beautifully written, and I loved every word, and to see them get their HEA was so worth it
I loved reading all of the characters from the previous LPA books.
I have loved this series and am so sad it's over, but I can't wait to see what is coming next from this author.

What a brilliant series this has been, and Fire and Moonlight is a fantastic way to finish. I'd recommend reading this series in order because some events that happen in previous books are important to this one.
Vico and Eddie are characters that fans of the series will know from earlier in the series and there have been some serious events that happened to both men before meeting/being rescued by the LPA. Two young wolves who were on their way to the HEA were ripped apart by the evil of one hunter and his sick ideas of chasing down, torturing and killing wolves, no matter if they are strangers or family. It takes the LPA to bring the two finally back together but Vico is quite resistant to letting anyone in again, saving his heart from any more hurt, something he cannot take.
Oh, my heart hurt so much for both men. We follow their story from when they were children and first met when Eddie's family sought a home in Vico's pack, right through to the end of the previous book when Vico wandered off into the Alaska wilderness with Eddie running off to save him from himself. There is so much pain that each man feels and that they share together. Eddie kept them apart but was trying to save Vico. I can understand Vico's mindset in trying to protect himself and it's a real battle he also faces in trying not to go feral.
The tough parts come in reading what Elijah, Eddie's uncle and leader of The Beasts hunter group, did to Elijah and happily did to those under his power. This is definitely something to be read with care as it has some trigger/content warnings.
It's not all doom and gloom but it is a slow burn romance as time is needed to heal more than just the physical wounds, and Vico and Eddie's mental wounds run deep. It's a hard fought battle, mentally and with others, but it's so worth it for them both in the end. There is also the incredible love and support of the pack they have found with the LPA. Ryan is still as crazy as ever whilst Ben still has the dad vibe down but it makes them a perfect, eclectic mix to welcome these two in.
I cannot recommend this enough, along with the whole series. It has been fantastic from start to finish.

**********Contains Spoilers**********
I enjoyed this book and thought that it was a good conclusion to the Lycanthrope Protection Agency Series (LPA). Wow, this book was an emotional roller coaster that’s for sure and Eddie and Vico’s journey to finally get their happily ever after isn’t an easy journey. While this is a standalone, it is best to read Gabe and Max’s trilogy first, starting with To Hunt a Moonborn Beast as you get all the world building information, as well as meeting the LPA pack. Both Vico and Eddie have lost so much, all because of Eddie’s sadistic a*sehole of a hunter uncle. I’m glad that they finally found their way back to each other after all the pain and suffering they’ve been through and found a new loving pack.
Eddie can’t form a pack bond while wearing the silver collar his uncle put on him years ago, so he’s disconnected from his wolf. Even though Vico can shift he doesn’t easily accept them because he tells himself that he doesn’t need anyone, that he doesn’t like them and that they don’t like him. It’s just that he’s already lost so much and he doesn’t want to lose anyone else. This book spans years from when Eddie and Vico meet as young children until the present day. This book has a lot of sad moments but the pack brought some much needed lighthearted moments, like Gabe and Izzie arguing over packing the necessities for their trip to New Orleans. I’m looking forward to reading more books by CJ Ravenna in the future. I’d recommend this book, series and author to others.
******I received a complimentary copy of this book through GRR. I would still happily review this book even if I purchased it myself. My thoughts and feelings about this book are completely unbiased******

I would like to thank GRR for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
***i have decided that this book is my favourite of the series***
Why?
Probably because I wept in agony through most of the first half of the book. Eddie and Vico's past wrecked my face my heart my brain. But Eddie's in particular...the things he'd had to endure. My gawd I was not expecting how much the opening chapters were gonna hurt...and then the story continued to throttle me and i was pretty finished (in the good way) right from the get go.
So yes. the villain was quite deplorable!
Just the sequence of events in this book, especially what Eddie went through physically, was pretty devastating to imagine.
And then on the other side of all that tragedy was all the hope in those new beginnings and ofc the power of enduring love. All kinds. The found family in the LPA and the patient love everyone gave, the strengthening of bonds, the healing from loss and anguish.
The tone was also following in the thread of the last book, and read less silly OTT and more assured...though there were moments to breathe and have some fun, and so i thought the balance made this a fairly well-rounded (final?) installment.
This was a great dynamic series to indulge in, that gave me nostalgia because of its early 2000 WB/CW tv (Supernatural/Buffy etc) vibe. and though the first 4 installments were pretty OTT pnr with some bouts of moving storytelling, Books 5 and 6 read a bit more maturely, less frantic and melodramatic, and I really appreciate the way they anchor the whole series in a solid and satisfying way.
I'm excited to see whatever CJR releases in the future because I'm a fan of Ravenna and all of this and so I'm sure it will be a great time for me!

We have finally come to the end of the Lycanthrope Protection Agency series. The final book tells the story of childhood friends and mates Eddi and Vicenzo. Eddie and Vico have been separated for years after hunters attacked the town and killed their pack. Vico was left behind as Eddie was captured and tortured by the hunters until he joined them. Years later they are reunited when the hunters capture Vico and the wolves of the LPA. Eddie breaks the wolves out of their cages and joins the LPA on the adventures of the last few books. Vico and Eddie are broken and trapped in the memory of the night the hunters came and destroyed everything they knew and loved. This leaves Vico constantly on the edge of going feral and losing his humanity and Eddie so scared of losing himself to his wolf that he chooses to leave the silver collar around his neck from when he was a prisoner of the hunters rather than risk losing himself to his wolf and hurting the wolves of the LPA. Vico and Eddie are working on strengthening their bonds to the pack and each other when they get word that the group of hunters who killed their pack and kept Eddie prisoner for all of those years is back in business and they must join with the rest of the LPA to finally put an end to their years long nightmare.
This book was sooooo good. It was a perfect end to the series and while I am sad that there is no more coming, I am also completely satisfied with the way the story wrapped up all of the loose ends. Vico and Eddie got their HEA and we finally got the full story of their past that was hinted at over the last couple of books in the series. If you like shifter romances, found families and fated mates then this series is perfect for you. I can’t wait to see what else CJ Ravenna writes in the future.

Okay, first of all… this was my first ever book from this author and I was really excited for it, even though it took me forever to get to it😂
Now… I loved it. I haven’t read anything else from them but I really liked the writing style and what I really appreciated was that you could read this book as a stand-alone even though it’s the sixth (and last one) in the series.
And Vico and Eddie’s story is absolutely gut wrenching and heartbreakingly tragic and beautiful. These two suffer through so much, for so long… I was not expecting to feel so much.
Also it’s been a while since my last fantasy/paranormal book adventure and I was impressed by how much and how fast I was sucked into the story.
There’s are some minor things that made this book a little confusing and hard to follow at times, like so many time jumps (even though perfectly described and well written) and so many details, maybe too much detail sometimes, where you get lost in it… (and really have happened to Philippe and his family?)
Overall a stunning stunning stunning book full of darkness, sadness and loss. Full of emotion and little moments of fleeting joy.
Vico and Eddie lose so much, and keep losing so much during the whole process and they have to learn to grow while being alone before finally finding their way back to each other and their journey together and towards their mate is pure and genuine and so precious. Sometimes when your family can’t be there for you, you just need to find a new one and that’s exactly what they did, they went to hell and back but found the most perfect pack to keep and make their own as family🫠🥹

Vicenzo (Vico) Salvatore lost everything when hunters burned his home town and killed his family. When he tried to save his friend and his lover, Eddie, he refused causing Vico to feel as if he lost everything. Years later, Vico is reunited with the Eddie, now a man, and finds himself a member of a pack he did not need. He is not sure what he wants and retreats into himself, endangering everyone around him. Eddie Turner has not known peace for years. Losing his family to the same beast as Vico, he has been further tortured and was forced to hunt his own kind. Saved by the Lycanthrope Protection Agency, Eddie finds Vico, but Vico has changed and he will need patience to win him over.
These two will surely touch your heart and your soul. They have suffered so much and lost so much. They deserve a little happiness but they are having a hard time allowing that. Both men are scared to trust which would open them up to more hurt. The ending is beautiful and will surely leave you with a smile. The entire pack is present in this book and fighting together to save everyone. What an incredible group of individuals! Read this series from the beginning to better appreciate it. Each story is captivating and will keep you burning the midnight oil to see what comes next.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book and this is my very own opinion.

This was my first time reading anything by C.J. Ravenna and it was so impressive. From the moment the book was revealed to me, I was simply captivated. It starts off intense, which just drew me in. I’m now going to have to read the first 5 books now because this was just SO GOOD!
There’s a lot of angst in this book. I loved how this a friends to lovers to enemies to lovers. Learning about the other characters from the other books makes me want to start these books.
From the villains in this story especially one on particular, I was so happy Eddie and Vico got their happily ever after. I loved the parts where the pack surrounded themselves around these two, especially the part when Eddie woke up to be surrounded by his pack. Best moment ever.
And the spicy scenes were so on point. I just loved how they were in the scenes and I love that this book wasn’t just smut. I wasn’t expecting the angst to tear me up so much like this book did to me but goodness, every part was so worth it. From the time jumps to seeing both broken guys go through what they went through, I went through way too many emotions and I was not expecting this!
Now, I need to read the whole series now to learn about each each couple.

This book was an incredible experience from start to finish. It kept me on the edge of my seat with its relentless action and pervasive sense of terror. From the very first page to the last, the story never let up, weaving a compelling narrative that left a lasting impression.
The emotional depth of this book is noteworthy. Numerous moments made me cry, and just as many had me cheering on the Lycanthrope Protection Agency (the wolves). The story masterfully balanced angst and heartache with warmth and the uplifting spirit of a found family. The wolves faced immense suffering at the hands of truly evil human hunters, adding to the emotional weight of their journey.
One of the standout aspects of this book is its well-defined characters. The writer skillfully created vivid images of good and evil, making it easy to either love or hate each character. This clarity added depth to the story, making the characters’ struggles and triumphs all the more impactful.
Despite needing to set the book aside several times due to life circumstances and its length, I always eagerly returned to it. The plot was absorbing, and the writing engaging. This book stands out as one of the best I’ve read in a long time, thanks to its non-stop action and the powerful emotional journey it offers.

Intense adventure that make everyone work for peace. Vico and Eddie first met after Eddie's family faced a tragedy and Vico's Pack took them in. They believed they were fated mates. Then there is a betrayal and Vico and Eddie are seperated emotional enemies. Eddie is betrayed by a family member doing bad deeds. More tragedy follows these two until the Protection Agency saves Eddie and there seems to be hope for him. When they reunite it's not smooth sailing and everyone has their work cut out just to be civil. The feelings are buried deep and need to be dug up to save new friends and family. This is a story that pulls at all the emotions 360 and makes us part of the friends and family, part of Pack. Extremely well done. Totally hot cover art! Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A new author to me but I’m loving wolf shifters at the moment and so I jumped at the chance to read this one. It’s readable as a standalone but I really would try read the rest of the series first so you get to know the pack as they’re a right lovable bunch.
Eddie and Vico meet as children when Eddie’s family flee their old pack, they quickly become best friends until tragedy hits the pack and tears them apart.
This a true story of love and loss and full of twists and turns as they find their way back to each other and learn to love their broken selves and find their new normal.
Do read the trigger warnings as it’s an angsty one but they worked so hard for their HEA it was definitely worth all the tears.

Fire And Moonlight is the 6th and final book in the The Lycanthrope Protection Agency series. While this is a standalone, it is best to read Gabe and Max’s trilogy first, starting with To Hunt a Moonborn Beast so why not just read the whole series. This book is about Vicenzo(Vico) and Eddie. Please read the trigger warnings before starting this book. This book starts when Vico and Eddie are children and continues from there. There is a lot that happens in the story and not all of it is good and happy. I love the way CJ Ravenna writes the characters. I also loved the world building. It takes a lot but the guys do eventually get their happy ever after. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

This book is intense. It breaks your heart and you really feel that when you care about the characters of Eddie and Vicenzo. Their lives change the moment they both lose their families. Hunters and their own people are against them. Their lives have become so different than they had hoped. All they have left is to hold together what little is left of them. The trust, love and hope are simply gone. I cried while reading this book. But despite everything, this book also gives you the hope, strength and love to rebuild your life. It's not easy, but with the help of a new wolf pack, they succeed. And this book is really worth reading. Excitement, adventure and the start of a new life. Recommended.

Book made my heart hurt for the characters
Sigh. The end of the series. Poor Eddie and Vincenzo seem to always have the hardest time of it through these books. They have definitely been put through the writing wringer by CJ Ravenna and my heart hurt for them through this book. This book touches on the history that these two have shared but it’s mostly set in the present day in this world. The world building is interesting in this series but it’s the characters that stand out in this author’s writing. You really need to read the entire series in order to get the most out of it and it’s well worth reading as Ms. Ravenna’s writing gets better and better with each book. This one definitely ends this series with the best of the bunch.

I know this book was going to be an emotional roller coaster. The relationship between Vico and Eddie has been strained for quite sometime. They do eventually get their happy ending, but it takes them quite a while to get there. I’m giving this book 4.5 stars.
This book takes us on a journey through Vico and Eddie’s childhood to adulthood. Both of the started off as friends; however, due to their circumstances they become enemies. This begins their long winding journey to heal their wounds. Eventually they both find a Happy Ending. I for one did not agree with some of the choice each character made. However, trauma and forgiveness are not easy things to deal with, and by the end of it all they have a pack to call their own.

Fire and ash. Torn apart, but not forgotten..
If this is truly the last book on the LPA series, what a way to end things! Eddie and Vico finally get their story told. You need to read the previous books in order. So much easier to understand the characters and the situations. Besides, they are really good books! I did not want to put this book down. Stayed up way too late, but still had to finish this morning. There is violence, but it is not gratuitous. Amidst the chaos and heartbreak, there is humor, bonds, love, and pack. There is also forever. I loved this book. You will too. So don't wait. Grab it now!

Vico and Eddie's story haunted me throughout this series. The author hinted to it's darkness, but I had no idea what these two endured. This one was the most emotional book of the series. Definitely lots of violence and darker themes so reader please be aware of your triggers.
I had to stop reading at times, particularly at some of the flash back memories because knowing where they popped up in the series earlier, it was as if I too was reliving that pain. Good conclusion to this series. Though I'd love it if we got more in this vein because I enjoyed the world building.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest opinion.

Thank you for this ARC and the chance to read this book.
I won’t lie. This book was 95% heartbreak.
Eddie and Vico are best friends and a horrible slaughter and the following happenings destroy their blooming love.
A lot of years pass before they see each other again and the hurt and heartbreak and of course the pain and torture they went through has hardened themselves.
Will they find a way back to each other? Or will they destroy the last piece of hope they had?
I did like the book. Will go back to read the first books in the series

Vico and Eddie get a second chance after Eddie was forced into becoming a wolf hunter by his uncle. These two felt they were fated mates when young, but Vico was shattered by what he considered Eddie's betrayal and has avoided the civilizing influence of a pack for years. When they meet again Eddie is determined to bring Vico back into a pack and back into his life for good. Vico resists until danger threatens everything and these two find the love they thought was lost in standing together to resist the evil. A wonderful ending to the series.

This is the sixth and final book in the series and it is another great addition, this story is not an easy read so please check trigger warnings but it is so worth a read. Vico and Eddie’s story will make put you through a rollercoaster of emotions but they do get their Hea and their new pack in the end.

This seems to tie the whole series together. And my goodness Eddie and Vico have a story to tell. It's emotional at times and they have enormous obstacles to overcome to have their HEA but this book is worth every second of my time reading it. I loved it!! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Thank you so much to CJ for this arc!!
Werewolves, hunters, and a tumultuous second chance romance.
When Eddie Turner watched his childhood home burned by hunters, he never thought he’d find another one. His parents move the family to the Red Rocks, with a promise of a new life and a new pack. The first family they meet is the Salvatores, and their young son Vincenzo seems to hate Eddie on sight. But that’s not hate, it’s Vico realizing who Eddie will be to him and not knowing what to do with it.
After tragedy strikes the Red Rock pack, Vico and Eddie are separated and lost without each other. Vici spends years searching for Eddie, and when he finds him, he knows this is not the eighteen year old boy he fell in love with.
As the years pass, both men end up with the Lycanthrope Protection Agency, but they’re still separated in all ways that count. Vico can’t get away from the past, and Eddie doesn’t know how to atone. A tentative friendship starts to build. When the LPA is threatened by the monster of their past, the boys know the only way through this is together.
This is an emotional story, Eddie and Vico have both lost so much and so many through the years. They also both struggle with finding a way to ever come back to each other. But with the help of the LPA, these sweet boys just might be ok.
-Defeating your past
-Werewolves
-Fated mates
-Grief and trauma
-A beautiful second chance
