In the aftermath of a deadly fire, Dahlia Rosario’s only wish is for everything to return to normal. However, as time passes, her once perfect relationship and the dream life she was building for herself in Barcelona begins to fall apart. Grasping at the remains of the future she so carefully constructed becomes almost impossible when the person she uprooted her life in New York for transforms into someone she no longer recognizes.

Meanwhile, in a blind attempt to seek justice for the fire that almost killed Dahlia, Alejandro Narvaez thrusts the city’s organized crime syndicate into chaos when he decides to eradicate his long-time rival and distant cousin Sandro Sandoval. Leaving behind a trail of dead bodies and havoc in his wake, he obliterates anything and everything in his path with little regard for the consequences. If he continues, there’ll be nothing—and no one—left. Not even the woman he loves.

A year later in New York City, Dahlia finds herself deeply embroiled in an FBI investigation which brings her head-to-head with a dangerous narcotics trafficker. Upon discovering plans to implicate the man she loves in a crime he didn’t commit, she becomes determined to prove his innocence by whatever means necessary.

I WAS GAGGED THE ENTIRE WAY THROUGH. Chapter one immediately had me feeling so many different ways and it was like that the entire way though because I wanted to know what was happening. Omg, I loved this book just as much as the first two and now I’m foaming at the mouth for book 4😭.

The way this book kept me in a constant state of shock is NO JOKE!
I literally couldn’t catch my breath the whole book and still am not sure if I’m breathing right! Not to mention the way she ripped my heart out and stomped on it through the whole journey!
Honestly this book was brilliant! The pace at times did feel slower but not so much so that I ever fell out of the story or was any less captivated!

This book was BRILLIANT!! I am still trying to catch my breath. This is the third book in the series and Leonora did not come to play. I absolutely love this series and these characters with my whole chest and this book really showcased such a different side to everyone.

This past to present time jumps were executed flawlessly. She jumped back in time and such a perfect moment and it flowed so nicely. I loved the introduction of all new characters in the present timeline. Both past and present time lines had amazing stories and I was feral reading both. This is mafia Romance at its finest😮‍💨 the drama, the betrayal, the secrets, the plot twist the tension I mean this book had it all.

& I need to take a moment to acknowledge how sassy Alejandro was in this book. His comebacks had me fucking rolling. He remains one of my favorite MMCs (even though my man was going through this one) THEY COULD NEVER MAKE ME HATE YOU And Dahlia with her queen of the south moment!!! WHO IS SHE?!?

The banter with these two had me dying “ If you’re broke, Alex, just say that” 😭😭😭

“ I don’t mind being slapped around, but I’d prefer if we kept those activities confined to the bedroom” IM SATTTT 😮‍💨

There was so much emotion written into this book and I could feel every fucking line. The writing was PERFECTION this book really made me FEEL everything.

I’m so emotionally attached to this world and seeing Dahlia and Alejandro go through all these ups and downs really has me in me feels.

This book couldn’t have been any better. I NEED THE NEXT ONE LIKE NOOOWWWWW

No Greater Oblivion

From chapter one, I knew I was going to love this book!

The writing is so beautiful, and it truly felt like I was watching a great movie.

Mafia Politics.
Action.
Love triangle.
Family dynamics.
Burned bridges.

I have fallen in love with not only the main characters but the side characters as well. And, I can't help but be invested in each storyline.

Although we came to the conclusion on a lot of the main plot points, we still have so much left in the air!!

Can any of these relationships be mended? Is there enough love and trust?

We shall see ....

This has turned into a competition of who can be the most toxic character with unresolved trauma and believes therapy is for losers

Also not sure how this story is being dragged out for so long

First off, let me say. I LOVE THIS WORLD. Anything that has to do in NYC, abso-fucking-lutely. & then Barcelona vibes? IMMACULATE got me thinking of the Cheetah Girls movies and shit since I ain’t never been out there.

One thing Leonora knows how to do is WRITE. I’ve read books where they switched from present to past and have gotten confused as a mf. But she executed this so well, it just flowed the way it should and it made sense.

I’m not sure why I thought this would be a final book, obviously it fucking if that ending is any fucking indication. And now I’m gonna go drown myself in a bucket of water.

I went through the EMOTIONS reading this book. Alejandro and his sassy ass. Dahlia and her comebacks. Also, Karina???!?! BRENT?!?! Get the absolute fuck out of my face with that one.

Now, as much as I loved everything - I WILL SAY - Dahlias character change was a bit too much for me personally. She went from such an innocent person to like a NYC MAFIA DON in a blink of an eye. I literally was WTF’ing for the majority of the book. I even giggled when Alejandro scolded her for her smoking & pill taking “this isn’t you Dahlia” YEAH U SURE TF RIGHT THIS AINT HER. WHO IS THIS WOMAN AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH DAHLIA?!

Also, I definitely knew that jumping into this book there was going to be a bump in the road between her and Alejandro but DAMN DUDE, SPARE ME A LICK OF SYMPATHY SHIET IM SUFFERING HERE.

This one was definitely a ride. & I’m dying to know how book 4 is gonna turn out.

So so soooo disappointed with this book. I ATE book 1 & 2 up. This one was so OFF. Here are some things that I didn’t like about this book

1. Dahlia.. she’s nothing like book 1 & 2. Leonora paints her out as some baddass mafia queen. With her fur coat, herbal cigarettes and pistol in her designer purse. She also has inserted herself in the illegal business..which was soooo corny to me. It just wasn’t her. I missed her designing and wanting to go to school. I would have preferred to see her furthering her career and not meddling in Alejandro’s business.

2. Her and Alejandro’s falling out… I guess their lack of communication had to happen to play a part for the plot but i can’t believe it happened for the whole book 😭.

3. Past, present . Past, present . Past, present . Didn’t enjoy that back and forth all too much but since it happened for the whole book I just pushed through.

4. BRENT AND YULISSA!! Leonora had me so invested in this. This was one of the main reasons Brent was trash. And Dahlia was having a hard time telling Karina about her suspicions. But this relationship just fell off the face of the earth and instead he was now a jealous abusive husband.

5. Letti.. why was she not badass in this book? (She should have been in the fur coat with the pistol in her purse) In the others, she was involved in the business. Having guns and poisoning people.. this one she was just the baby of the family with a shopping addiction who didn’t know what she wanted to do with her life. 😒 wack.

6. The ending…TRASH.. and seeing how she found out about the fire.. she still didn’t want to speak to Alejandro.. she wanted him to fight for her. LADY THIS MAN IS TIRED!! HES BEEN FIGHTING And PLOTTING NON STOP FOR MONTHS! You know this! You even somewhat sympathized for him just to be like “HMPH NO IM NOT DOING IT , HE NEEDS TO COME TO ME”

7. I don’t think I flat out said this yet.. but DAHLIA WAS ANNOYING!!

—————

Here are some things I did enjoy

1. The banter between Alejandro and Dahlia in the beginning. I literally laughed out loud like 5 times.

2. The spicy scenes. Leonora knows what she’s doing with Alejandro.. I did want to read about Rian putting it down but o well. Maybe a spin off?? 🙏🏽

3. “Diego” when Dahlia said his name in the hospital! Loved that fight scene.

4. Alejandro and Diego were the only 2 I felt were the same from book 1 & 2 .

Conclusion- will I read book 4? Yes ! I’m hoping for the best. Will I recommend this series? Yea! But I I’ll tell people book 3 sucks 😂.

THE perfect way to follow book two. This third installment didn’t come to play, it came to slay.

Romance, action, heartbreak, crime, secrets passion. This book has it all.

This was not only written so beautifully with then and now chapters so seamlessly intertwined, but it had me feeling all the emotions. The heartbreak, loss, passion, strength, and let’s not forget the sass and humor from Alejandro and Dahlia.

Oh and Dahlia. Excuse me, Ms. Reina del Sur, but I want to be as cool as you are.

I am completely immersed and so emotionally attached to this world and characters. I can’t wait to read more and see where their journey takes them.

Leonora has once again outdone herself with this flawless masterpiece. As if I already didn’t love Alejandro and Dahlia enough, she gave us more characters to love.

Thank you, Leonora for bringing this series into our lives. 😭

can’t believe this series went from 4 stars to 1 stars for me.

dahlia was really annoying throughout the book. her character was very different from the last two books. i can’t believe she developed feelings for another guy. thats just 🤢. the switch between past and the present was too much to keep up with.

alejandro deserved better than whoever dahlia was this book.

i don’t think i would continue with this series.

My beloved readers!

Came on here to do some *book 4* prep and realized I never got around to writing my review! So here it goes:

No Greater Oblivion serves as a bridge between the first part of the series and the last. It's meant to be different; shocking, confusing, and maybe even a little upsetting at times. There are moments where you see the characters you fell in love with in NSP and NDT shine through and then there are moments where you hardly recognize them. This is intentional.

When I started this series it was with only one thought in mind: what if instead of redeeming the male lead, I corrupted the female lead instead? Because that's always a common trope in books like this. Morally good FMC falls in love with morally gray MMC and he always, somehow, becomes better for it. He might stay a little unhinged but his shades of gray lighten significantly due to her influence. Sometimes those endings worked but other times, they felt unrealistic to me. After all the emotional turmoil, stress, and extenuating circumstances the often times unprepared FMC has to face, it was mindboggling for me to reach the end of a book or series and see her completely unchanged. Shouldn't what she endured have some kind of affect on her? Don't those kinds of experiences fundamentally change a person?

So I thought to myself: what would it take for a completely normal girl to break? For someone's moral compass to spin so askew it shatters completely? What would happen to them, who would they become, would they even be recognizable? No Greater Oblivion lays the ground work but book 4 will answer those questions completely.

It's easy to get caught up in Dahlia and Alejandro as a unit and who they are when they're together. I love them as people and I love them as a couple but even as the author, by the end of NDT I found myself losing sight of why I'd written these books in the first place. Because make no mistake; Alejandro is our leading man but he is not our protagonist. Dahlia is. And ultimately, this entire series is about her.

In NGO, I played around with a few of my favorite tropes but gender-swapped them. Other woman drama became other man drama (Rian O'Neil, the man you ARE) and the crash-out usually had by male leads when their love interests leave them was had by Dahlia instead (because the girls can drink, party, and fuck around just as much as the guys can!). I also had my own fun poking at some sexist double standards. Dahlia does in this novel what every other male love interest in dark romance has done (their sins often a million times worse) but been forgiven for tenfold. Will the reader forgive her or will she be crucified for it?

In breaking down Dahlia and Alejandro's relationship I was able to conduct a postmortem and evaluate all their progress so far in the series. Are they better off now than they were in the first book? What's changed, what's stayed the same. What needs improvement and what can be laid to rest. Because make no mistake--for however much they love each other, this is not a healthy, balanced relationship between equals. And in acknowledging that I also had to acknowledge that it was my responsibility to fix it. When a house's construction is too poorly built and unsafe to live in, you knock it down and start all over again.

I hope that when reading No Greater Oblivion, you're all breaking down the house. Go brick by brick by brick until not even the foundation is left. Deconstruct it all so that when we dive into book 4 together, we can do our own postmortem . Figure out what went wrong and start over. But this time, with a strong and sturdy foundation.

I know many of you hoped for more or maybe different from this installment. I'm a lover of happy endings and won't lead you astray, I promise! I'll just make everyone work for it <3

Leonora, how could you leave me on this cliffhanger?!

Mafia Romance
Love Triangle
Action-Packed
Second Chance
No Greater Oblivion, the third book in the No Sweeter Poison series, had me hooked from the very first chapter. I was completely shook! This book is absolutely brilliant, and I savored every single second of it.

The story picks up a year after the devastating fire, with Dahlia doing her best to piece her life back together. Meanwhile, Alejandro is consumed by a thirst for revenge, and their relationship takes a serious hit. I have to applaud how Leonora handles this storyline—it’s far from your typical love story. Both Dahlia and Alejandro are deeply flawed characters who honestly could use some therapy, and that’s what makes them so compelling. Leonora masterfully crafts a tragic, messy, and beautifully imperfect journey that kept me fully engaged from start to finish.

I loved the seamless transitions between past and present and the introduction of new characters who add even more depth to the story. But what I adored most is seeing Dahlia come into her own. She’s finally gaining her independence and realizing she doesn’t need anyone—especially when those she’s loved most have let her down time and time again.

This book made me laugh, smile, cry, and feel every emotion in between. That’s how you know it’s a five-star read—when a single book can make you experience such a wide range of emotions, sometimes all at once. I cannot WAIT for book 4!

Def the best book in the series. Huge theme of the whole book: grief. The author did an unreal job encapsulating past, present and future grievances. A book hasn’t made me so emotional since Kepping 13!!

Leonora does it AGAIN! I was obsessed from the start. The way she’s been developing these characters has me constantly salivating for more. We got to see new characters but also a new side to the characters we already love.
Inject this book into my veins because I’ll be living off of it for a while.
