A good read
This was a pretty fast-and-gory rendering of the Ramree Island Crocodile Incident. It came across too American to be convincing as the thoughts of a Japanese soldier, but the story was good.

Very good, fictional account based on true accounts of the Battle of Ramree Island. I would recommend this because it was interesting and really painted a detailed picture of this gruesome battle. While it is fiction, I definitely felt like I was there and the writer was incredibly believable with his use of details and setting.

This is a short novel built around the Ramree Island Crocodile Incident during WWII. It follows two soldiers as they try to navigate combat and a swamp that turns out to be far more dangerous than the enemy they're fleeing. This was super short; an easy read that gave a fictional glimpse into the crocodile attacks and the war itself.

Intriguing yet flawed.
Very interesting historical event with a mediocre story and flat characters. Overall it is forgettable and would do better if told in a more fleshed out manner with in depth characters.
