The sixth book in The Bodyguards Of L.A. County series by Cate Beauman. Abigail Harris was kidnapped and forced to work for a man she trusted in a sex-ring organization. She was rescued but now is hiding until the court date when she can testify with her bodyguard, Jerrod Quinn. Meanwhile, baddies are after her to shut her up and get revenge.

Another one of those books that just didn't quite do it for me. I didn't hate it but didn't love it either. It is part of a series and I have not read the o

I love this series. This book is not a stand alone. You should read (Forever Alexa: Book Four In The Bodyguards Of L.A. County Series) before you read this one.

I was amazed by Abby's strength, and courage. Abby was kidnapped, and was thrust into the world of sex trafficking, and prostitution. She was saved at the end of book 4. In this book we got to see Abby slowly healing from her nightmare. She had panic attacks, and nightmares, that seemed so real. They caught a few of the people behind the

Justice for Abby by Cate Beauman is Book VI of the Bodyguards of LA County Series and I have been eating these romantic suspense novels up, like the M&Ms I love so much. This may be the best one yet.

Abby is taken from the rest area parking lot, right in front of her sister, Alexa, and her daughter, Livy. With the threat of harm to her family, Abby is forced to work for them, but her eye is always on escape.

After her rescue, she has lingering affects, flashbacks and panic attacks, and fears t

After I read ‘Falling For Sarah’ and ‘Saving Sophie’ I just knew I needed to read more books in the Bodyguards of L.A. County series. So when I was approached to read the sixth book in the series called ‘Justice For Abby’, I was super excited and started reading as fast as possible. I love that these books are standalones but still have the same characters. And I definitely plan to read all of them.

‘Justice For Abby’ is the story of designer Abigail Harris. Abby went through something horrific

Abby is the fashion designer that was kidnapped in book 4. Abby has overcome so much since her kidnapping, the subsequent panic attacks and nightmares and has gone on to be a successful designer. It is Jerrod's job to keep her safe until the key players in the kidnapping ring are brought to justice since Abby is thekey witness. Abby trusts Jerrod with her life and they develop a friendship that leads to more. Lots of bad guys and not to mention Jerrod's ex who is a giant bitch but it's all good ...more

FIRST IMPRESSION:

This is the second book I am reading from this series and had my expectations piqued by the covers I had seen of the books that belonged to this series. The cover conveyed as less as as possible, but managed to be eye catching. The first line of the summary should have given enough clue that this book is a sequel that continues a story from a previous book.

REVIEW:

'Justice for Abby' - Abby was abducted by a human trafickking gang and she was rescued. This book details her journey

In Book #4 of the Bodyguards of LA County series, Forever Alexa, two sisters, Abigail and Alexa Harris, were driving on their way home from vacation along with Alexa’s sleeping three year old Olivia when the younger sister, Abby, was abducted. That book, Book #4, was Alexa’s search for Abby. This book, #6 Justice for Abby, is Abby’s story. (Definitely, you will want to read Forever Alexa first but it isn’t necessary. Both are standalones, telling the story of these two sisters. As you can imagin ...more

I saw this on Book Blub and if you haven't signed up for that website you need to. I have found some amazing books that are only free for a short time and that is how I found Justice For Abby it was free and I thought why not.

Once you start reading this book you realize right away it wasn't going to be easy to get though due to the story line which revolves about sex, rape and international sex ring in which Abby is the only witness.

This book is a stand alone but I did feel really lost wishing I

I got this book free from the author for an honest review. This story was intense!!! Abigail Harris is fighting for her freedom and her life as she awaits to stand trial against her abductors. Jerrod is the bodyguard, who is assigned to keep her alive until the trial. Abby is an up an coming fashion designer and keeping her identity a secret is no small task. Jerrod is up to the task but along the way he starts to have feelings for his principal and he has to figure out if he will cross the line ...more

First book I read in this series and it was good. Well written with enough angst to hold you. Could have don't without some things but karma is a wicked bitch...although we never found out if anything happened to that LA bitch journalist we can't say the same for Shelby....she had a hard lesson there. Liked the heroine taking a brave although somewhat sad approach to recovery....nice job.

I was excited to start this book. After her ordeal (through Alexa) in book #4, I' been waiting on the "epilogue" to that story for some time. I must admit, though, that it felt like somewhat of a slow start. I wasn't as in to it as I'd hope.

But I'm glad I stuck with it. Because as the climax approached - wow. There were twists and turns I didn't see coming. Even knowing there would be a happy ending, I still found myself dropping my jaw at certain parts and getting teary at another part.

Bravo.

Justicei For Abby: Book Six In The Bodyguards Of L. A. County

I loved the fast paced action in this book. This book was exciting and kept me up all night reading it. The story of how determined Abby was to work through all the nightmares, panic attacks was impressive. The positive influences in her life are her sister and niece and her personal bodyguard. Jerrod Quinn became not only her bodyguard but her confidant. The plot is very fast moving and has you sitting on the edge of your seat. I high

Such a great story but...

But there is at least THREE explicit and very descriptive rape scenes in this book that were AWFUL to have to read and one was a rape and brutal murder of a 15 year old girl. I always want to rate a book less for this. My imagination is bad enough, the descriptive scenes are disgusting. But, maybe this problem lies only with me.

Intense from start to finish

This book was harder to read than the others due to the serious subject matter and the glimpse into the depth of hopelessness and sadness Abby has to overcome. It was fascinating, intriguing and full of highs and lows. Good read.

One of the best mystery books I've read this year. Abby sure goes through an awful lot of suffering as does her friend Margret.

Another great read by Cate Beauman. This series is definitely one to check out as it has so much going for it. Great characters and great storylines that will have you hooked right from the start. Intrigue, danger, suspense and romance all rolled into one.

Abby has had a brush with danger that she doesn’t want repeating after being kidnapped and kept in a sex ring. You don’t find out everything that happened to her straight away, only through moments of flashbacks that occur when something trigge

Did not finish, barely started.

I looked at the reviews for this book prior to reading and was ready for a good story. The premise of the book sounds interesting - girl is kidnapped by an underground sex slave operation, she later escapes and is a key witness to a court case, she needs protection and hijinks ensue.

Chapter one; she is kidnapped. She discovers her kidnapper is someone she knows. Kidnapper says she will make outfits for the girls he's selling into slavery and that she'll be his play

Cate Beauman has made herself in my favorite author's list. I have written in my review for Falling for Sarah that she has proper command over her words and her writing is simple yet striking. This is my second book from bodyguards of LA. country series and now I want to read the rest books of this series. This book starts with the protagonist, Abby getting kidnapped and taken away to a sex ring. If you want to avoid such things, then you might skip this book. Otherwise this book is worth readin

This was a very good book with plenty of suspense, a sizzling love story, and intriguing characters. Abby was kidnapped and forced to do unspeakable things or be severely punished. Once rescued, she agrees to testify against the monsters responsible. As a result, her life is in danger and she requires protection. Jarrod admires and respects Abby. She was a survivor and it was his job to keep her safe until she testifies in court. Splendid 24/7 together, they become close friends. When they are f ...more

Justice For Abby

This book begins with a flashback to Abby's abduction. I liked this beginning because it demonstrates Abby's life prior to her abduction and then the rest of the book explains some of her struggles to overcome that awful time. This is s great topic. We all know it happens but don't realize that it could happen to anyone or the fact that it does happen all the time. But aside from the seriousness of the topic, this book has great strong characters. The hero protector and the heroi

I kept my fingers crossed for Abby all the way through this story. Abby was such a kind and generous person and she had been through hell and was trying to get herself back to what she considered normal. Abby had been kidnapped and forced into a brothel. She had been tormented by someone she had considered her friend. The fact that she could even consider trusting again was so amazing to read about.
Jerrod would do anything to keep Abby safe, even deny them both the love and happiness they deser

I really thought this would be a routine bodyguard/subject book, boy was I wrong. Cate Beauman's characters popped! By the end of this book (which I read in one sitting) I was exhausted but replete. Jerrod Quinn is an ex- marshal with lots of experience in witness protection, and he knows that an emotional involvement with his subject will cause distractions that can have deadly consequences. The heart and libido don't necessarily care about facts. With Abby's anonymity falling apart, the pressu ...more

I really loved the romance aspect of this novel. There wasn't a whole lot of suspense in this. Every thing that they did for her protection was really just cautionary, which is what they're supposed to do (duh, he's a bodyguard). But that really just didn't make me feel.. I don't know what the word I'm looking for is but it just didn't really feel all that suspenseful to me.
It was really nice to see Abby's story get wrapped up and with the sweet, hunky Jerrod. Lucky girl!

This is the second book that I've read from the Bodyguards of L.A. County series and I can say that it does have a good story line. I really enjoyed seeing Jerrod at home and Abby in his life. I think that it was a believable premise, although Abby didn't always do as she was told and that part irritated me.

Another issue is the graphic depiction of rape. I had a problem with that and skimmed over those parts. All in all Justice for Abby was a nice way to spend the afternoon and I liked Jerrod an
