Can I just say that was A LOT of HOT in a short amount of pages... It didn’t take long to read, and I may have re-read it right after I finished because I loved it so much! K.I. Lynn is an author who never disappoints me. And this was no exception. As short and sexy as this story was, there was actually a story, and one I really enjoyed!
Jared has a lot on his plate. His mom isn’t well, and he co-owns his business with his evil ex. When it all gets to be to much, he does something he doesn't do normally... goes to church. Thats when he sees her. It’s not love at first sight, it’s straight lust and desire. So overwhelming he can’t control it.
Jared has to have this woman. And as fate would have it, he runs into her one night.
Is the lust and desire two sided? If he finally gets this girl, will once be enough?
The Devil in Me is a novella that can be found in the BEND anthology that will be released May 5th. I love stories written from the male pov and this was all Jared! The writing was fantastic, the story was interesting and it was hot hot hot! A must read novella!

Ack!! What did I just read??
This novella takes ridiculousness to a whole new level. I wish I could tell what the story is all about but I can't. You know why? It doesn't have a story.
I'm not kidding. It's basically just about two people who have sex. And not even hot sex. It's the kind of sex that a 14-year old horny boy would probably find hot. To me, it was just eye-roll inducing.
The whole novella is told through Jared's POV, which absolutely does nothing for me because it felt like I was reading a diary of a horny teenage boy. It's ridiculous and juvenile. And I have a high tolerance for the ridiculous and the juvenile. I'm supposed to care that both of these MC have a crazy connection but frankly...
Don't even get me started on the writing. It was just a hot mess. I had high hopes for this one. I really did. But sadly, it didn't quite meet my expectations.

Wandering into his neighborhood church Jared is hit with an intense rush of lust, his body reacts to this stranger in a primal way. Everything... and I mean everything is alert in her presence. The need to take this woman is overwhelming him and consuming his every waking moment.
Jared in an attempt to relax and escape his situation finds himself looking at the same girl that has had his cock rock hard since he laid eyes on her. Hope, the innocent looking waitress can't seem to keep eye contact with this man. Everything he feels between them is felt directly between her legs. Now that Jared knows where he can find her, he isn't about to let her get too far away. Knowing that the only way to scratch this itch is to claim her until their skin is raw and the need has subsided.
Fuck hot. There was so much sexual tension packed in to this quick read. I swear if there was one more tug scene my ovaries were going to explode. There is so much potential here for this story to be expanded and I think we will all be begging for more of Jared. Hell, just feed us an entire book filled with him erupting at his own hands and defiling little innocent Hope.
KI Lynn delivers another hot read with a hero that is pure panty soaking hot. There is just something about the style that KI Lynn that brings out the most primal desires. What could be a complete turn off if done by someone else, is just perfectly erotic when it comes from her. I want Jared and Hope to keep up the chatter in her head so that maybe one day we'll see these two again.
For those who will be venturing into this particular story by chance and have not had the pleasure of reading something from K.I. Lynn before, I can't recommend the Breach Series enough. One of the hottest reads ever.

Holy hotness Batman, talk about sexual tension.... this is a new author or me and I sure popped my Cherry with K.I.Lynn
This is an all out Dirty, raw, passionate read giving us a somewhat inappropriate, wrong in parts story but did I enjoy it? HELL YES
So what's it about
Jared it having a difficult time, his mum has Cancer and is going through treatment, his dad died of Cancer a year prior' and he's concerned that his mum is loosing her fight, and his 'past' girlfriend split up with him due to the fact that she is 1. selfish and 2. not willing to share Jared with his family and understand his time needed to be at home with his mum. But that also causes difficulties as his exe is also Jared's business partner at the local gym that he runs. And then his sister is pregnant not that he's not happy about the news but everything is on his shoulders causing a heavy weight that he's carrying around daily. So he goes to his local church to gain some strength and some guidance, while he's there s he smells her, and see's one very innocent, beautiful Hope. She blushes on seeing Jared but there's something different about her that Jared can't seem look away from, once he does look away and she walks away, he needs to get some control over his emotions.
Hope works at a bar that Jared and his friend call into so he can just collect his emotions and relax a little, a night off, only he finds out that Hope works there and well the tension soon becomes Intense. HE WANTS HER AND HE'S GOING TO HAVE HER
He just can't seem to walk away from her, he just needs to feel her
I'm new to this author but I really enjoyed this, The sexual tension was off the charts, she kept me reading, I was interested in the storyline, I was Intrigued by Jared but want more info on Hope and I enjoyed K.I. Lynn's writing style. This is just a taster to things to come not sure when we get more but I NEED more...
So is once enough? Read it and find out...

Wow, I loved this novella and can't wait for the full version to be released! This was intense and scorching HOT! The MCs are Jared and Hope and they are set upon each other like two souls possessed, whether by the hand of God or the Devil is uncertain, though they do meet in church.
The story is told from Jared's POV and I loved it. He's a bit of a filthy-mouthed, bad boy, but he works hard (running a gym with his mega bitch ex, so that has to change)! And he lives with and cares for his mom, who has cancer and she isn't doing very well. He's really a good man, but he's just in a slump, until the Devil, or God, interferes on his behalf.
As a matter of fact, everything in the story worked really well for me, except the devil analogy. And that's because it implies that there's something wrong with Jared and Hope's feelings for each other. At one point, I even thought this was a paranormal because of the MCs tingling skin and beating hearts and their inability to control certain bodily functions. However, it becomes apparent that they just like each other a helluva lot...lol. And, oh boy, the consummation of their intense feelings is jaw-dropping. It might bother some, but I just found it shocking and sizzling hot.
Another great story selection from the Bend Anthology, which unfortunately has been pulled due to some lame controversy and Amazon big brotherly behavior. Most of the stories will be released in the next few weeks/months, however, and you should definitely check them out then.

I read this short little novella in the BEND book.
I LOVED it... I want more.
This book was HOT. holy crap! I know she is writing a full length novel on this book - I can not wait to get my grabby little hands on it!

4 Bless Me Father For I Have Sinned Stars * * * *
I find the discussion of prayer and religion interesting in books... either it can sometimes overwhelm the story and defeat the purpose of its introduction to it... or if done with understanding of the readers... it can give comfort. In this tale by K.L. Lynn... she used it as a force to be reckoned with... and the questions posed were very interesting indeed.
First, huge props for us being in our main character's head all of the time. Jared is a Guy's Guy. He is not some cubical drone or metro sexual. He is a guy who loves his family, misses his dad and is trying to hold it together. He has the unfortunate situation of being a partner in the gym he established with his ex. She, being the cheating, bitch she is... decides to make things unbearable at his own gym. He also is dealing with his mom battling cancer and the debilitating treatments; she can't eat and mostly feels like crap. His sister is helping but she is pregnant and running her own business, too. So, Jared feel the needed for a little assistance... or at least he needs to have a conversation and possibly put out a plea for the Man Upstairs to explain or at least guide him somehow through all that is happening.
Now what I really liked about this set up is the fact Jared is an equal opportunity prayer. He explains he has been going to two different churches his whole life... one his father belonged to... the other one... his mom went to... so he decided to go to the one closest to the house this time as he didn't want to leave his mom alone for too long. Really good son.
Oh... and this is the other thing that was very cool... Jared being a guy of today, he is a trainer... he has tats; wears his hair in a mohawk...it's coal blackish... so he isn't a picture of innocence... yet he has come to pray for guidance and his family. Huge win in my book....
Of course, this soul asking for help... does get an sign...a current running through him when he sees a vision in a pew on the other side.... this girl is everything his body is craving...he feels a vibration circulating up his spine and landing hard in his balls and cock... this girl defies his restraint... has never felt like this... overwhelmed to the point his head is full of acts he wants to do to her now...right now... Jared is shaken... this uncontrollable lust has never hit him like this before...and she.... his object of all this unrestrained want.... she is sneaking looks and turning pink... Jared knows he has to gain some control... he goes and takes care of "business" in the bathroom... shocked at this need which is beyond anything he has ever experienced. When he looks for his object of lustful desire... she is no where to be found...
This was a very quick, hot .... I am talking scorched earth hot read... and both Characters were equally responsible and responsive in their actions. There were also some very candid moments... I happened to really appreciate the conversation Jared had with his mom about how he was feeling. Their relationship rang very true to me because I have had very open talks with my guys... and did from the very beginning whenever sex and love came up.
K.L.Lynn brought her A game to the anthology Bend... and it seems this was only a little taste... she has other Devils in store for us... I know they will be formidable.

4.5 DEVILISH STARS
This was my first K.I. Lynn book and I loved it! This was one HOT and racy little number. Even though this was a short story, there was a STORY and it took it’s time letting the climax build and simmer between the MCs – Jared and Hope. I read this in one sitting and really connected quickly with both characters.
I also enjoyed that this was told from Jared’s POV yet, it focused a lot on the intense lust and attraction he felt for a complete stranger. I loved the devil theme that ran throughout the novella and the chemistry between Jared and Hope was on fire. And there is one scene that was beyond DIRTY and HOT. I will definitely read more from K.I. Lynn!

I also enjoyed that this was told from Jared’s POV yet, it focused a lot on the intense lust and attraction he felt for a complete stranger. I loved the devil theme that ran throughout the novella and the chemistry between Jared and Hope was on fire. And there is one scene that was beyond DIRTY and HOT. I will definitely read more from K.I. Lynn!

A short novella that got me to the end of my 2022 reading challenge - just!
Jared is seeking a bit of solace in his local church when he first lays eyes on Hope. She is a lot younger than him but there is something about her that has him with a constant boner that needs regular relief.
Jared lives at home with his mum, who is going through cancer treatment. Sometimes life just gets too overwhelming and he needs to get away and find some release.
Once he figures out where Hope works, he sets his sights on making her his.
If you don't enjoy insta lust or alpha men who take what they want you won't enjoy this but if you like fictional escapism and are not easily offended then you should be all good.

This novella packed one heck of a punch. My panties didn't just melt, they combusted with how turned on I was reading about Jared and Hope. The first part of this book was the hottest....Jared pleasuring himself was probably my favorite part.

I enjoyed Ms. K.I. Lynn's Breach series and was looking forward to reading this one, and a bonus that it's under a male POV, for a change. The blurb and cover is hot, BUT sad to say, that's about it. :(
The story started off like this: Jared woke up and rushed to church to pray for strength and guidance and for his mom's health and saw this lady that gave him a hard on, like yeah, his mom could be dying and his problem was his dick or boner. He goes to the church's washroom and jerk himself off... Was that supposedly hot? I sure hope men don't react that way... that's just a "no no" for me. Then, every time he sees her, he gets a huge hard on that everyone can see, like WTH! His friends, his sister!!!! If the story's aim was to shock me and not in a good way, you got me, lol. The characters felt off.... everything felt off or forced.... It is a short read and it bored me to death.... I kept rolling my eyes and hoping for the story to end... Ugh...
So.... this is the part where I'll say, I guess this book is not for me.

I really enjoyed
this book - especially since I personally seem to struggle with shorter
stories. This one actually didn't try to
jam so much in - making the relationship between Jared and Hope feel believable
and real. The only issue that kept me
from rating this book higher, was the "location" of some of the sex
scenes. Others may agree with me on
this, or be offended - I truly tried not to judge the total story on this
issue, but I did take away 1/2 a star because of it. I would have preferred it not in the book at
all.
But even with
all of that, I did wish that the book was longer, because the other story lines
regarding Jared and his sister and mother, and Jared's business really left me
wanting to know what's going to happen in the future with all of that. Plus I'm curious to see where Jared and
Hope's relationship goes. I hope there's
a future book in the works that will continue this story. All in all though, this was the perfect
light, hot read for in between all those angsty books we all seem to be
reading.

The title of this quickie read and the blurb had me intrigued and I felt like this...
As the story continued, the male lead had me feeling like this...
Towards the end of this very short story, I was gone...totally submersed in this story's wicked steaminess--this story won me over!

The Devil in Me is a nice blend of sweet and steamy!
It may seem strange to use the word sweet when talking about an erotic story but Ms. Lynn did a wonderful job of showing Jared's compassionate side. Seeing his interactions with his mom, his sister, and even his employees allowed me to see that he wasn't only concerned with his...*ahem* ;)
The Devil in Me was a pleasure to read. Jared's sighting of Hope and subsequent mission to get her into his life was entertaining, to say the least. I enjoyed getting to know Jared and I'm thrilled to see Ms. Lynn will continue his story as I'd like to be better acquainted with Hope and I'm interested to see the outcome of the other plot lines, as well.

I'm clearly in the minority here, but I'm sad to say that I didn't enjoy the story.
I don't usually like when erotica tries to have a story. If I want a book with a story, I'll get a book with a story. If I want erotica, I don't want any story getting in my way from one sex scene to the next. Usually I prefer story over sex, but I know what I'm getting into when I read erotica. That's why I was surprised that there was so much story. It had a boring plot line that dragged a bit for me.
Basically, he owns a boxing place or whatever it's called, but his ex who cheated on him also owns it. There's a lot of bickering between the two of them. It got old really fast. Monica was despicable. It's good to despise the villain, but the things she said bothered me rather than fueled my hatred for her. Jared's mother also has cancer. And his sister is pregnant. He lives at home. That's the extent of the plot.
Hope was a mystery. She kept showing up everywhere he went which I felt was a little unrealistic. She had sex with him in a church after he pretty much sexually harassed her at her place of work. I found Jared's innuendos creepy rather than sexy. He was too forward.
Although I must give it credit for having a sort of interesting element. He felt something towards Hope that couldn't be explained. Basically, she was a walking Viagra pill. Every time he looked at her- well... Lets just say there were one too many references to his constant erections. They compared it to him being "possessed" by lust. It was an apt title.
I read a blurb from this book and was super excited to read it. This was the main reason I got the book. I was disappointed, but clearly other people liked it.
