Off Screen #10

Split Screen

Rate this book
In the heartwarming tenth installment of the beloved Off Screen Series, Addison Blake and Emma Bronson navigate the intricate dance of family life and career ambitions. After four years of serene living in Kansas, where they’ve raised their three spirited children, Addison senses a restlessness growing in her wife, Emma. Though their life in the Midwest is both contented and meaningful, they miss the exhilarating buzz of working on set and the close-knit friendships left behind in Los Angeles.

Determined to reignite Emma’s passion for acting, Addison pens a pilot for a comedy series, hoping it will entice Emma back to the screen. A move that would bring them closer to their friends in California. However, a visit to LA brings unexpected news from their best friends, Tamara and Christie, throwing a wrench into her plans. With Christie committed to a new show in Boston, Emma and Addison face a pivotal decision.

Ever the pragmatist, Emma proposes a bold shift the new show to New York, launching a fresh adventure for their family. As they prepare to uproot their lives, the couple grapples with the excitement and uncertainty of such a monumental change.

“Split Screen” beautifully captures the ups and downs of love, family, and ambition. Join Addy and Emma as they balance the demands of a thriving career with the joys and challenges of family life, proving once again that even Hollywood starlets deserve to live and love freely off the screen.

4 stars. Felt so good to catch up with Emma and Addy and their family. This was so good. I don’t know if this is the last installment to the series but if it is it was a wonderful way to end the series. Loved it.

another hit

I love the stories this author writes. It feels like real life if that makes sense. Nothing is overdone, it’s situations you could see yourself in. I guess that most books really, some stories are so outrageous and impossible that it’s just that, a story.
The conversations and situations they get themselves in are truly relatable, you know, if I was in that industry, which I’m not but you get what I’m trying to say.
The characters are just really great, I’ve followed this story from the beginning and it’s nice to catch up with the whole family again.
I really enjoyed the epilogue from Vicks’s point of view. It added another insight into this wonderful family.
I can’t wait for whatever this author gives us next. I just know I’m going to love it.

What a clever ending!

Although Emma, Addy and their three children love their lives in Kansas, the moms stop to reevaluate their future adventure. As long as they are together, anything is possible.

I love the conversations JA writes as if the reader is right there in the room with them. I also love and admire the way she gives authentic voices to the children in her books. There's no doubt family is first. I'm hoping this isn't the last book of the series, but if it is, what a clever ending. I highly recommend ALL of Nancy's books!

Love this series. Actually I love all of Ms. Armstrong's (Nancy Healy) books. I wish I could wave my magic wand and immediately have the next book in each series written. Then, I can stay up late at night to finish reading them

This book acts as a story bridge. There are some major charges in the characters lives ... both the main characters and all the secondary ones. It will help tie the books together.

Well written, funny, and informative. A must read for this series.

Brilliant, an absolutely brilliant series! I loved each and every page of the 10 volumes. I'm not often blown away by a series such as this. This so-talented author hit every note, and the story evolved in a way that simply pulls you along on the journey. I read a great deal and this author never disappoints.

great addition to the series

Love Emma and Addy. This beautiful story fills in some of their continuing adventures in life. It could have been 200 pages longer and still not enough. This author has such a wonderful writing style and always leaves me in a great place.

Life in the real world!

So nice to read, throughout all 10 chapters of Addison and Emma's story, how they manoeuvre life as a same sex couple. Having a family and careers makes the story real. I wish their lives intertwined with mine. Would love to be a part of their family.

LOVED THE EPILOGUE

The books about Emma and Addison are my favorites of this author. I think their family dynamic is great. By Design is my least favorite (too preachy for my taste). Good writer though. I recommend this series.

So good to be back with Emma and Addy

I love this series, and it was great to catch up with Emma, Addy and their entire family. These characters will make you cry, laugh, fall in love and remember that family, both biological and chosen, are important.

It was so nice catching up with Emma, Addy and the kids. I really hope that there is another book of their tales with the new tv series. I love this series! Thank you JA Armstrong for writing another chapter in their lives.

Nice to revisit

This story is a nice follow up book for this series. It was nice to catch up with Addy & Emma & see where their lives have taken them while we away. Curious if we'll get another update anytime soon or if this was a one off.

I've missed these characters. I may go back to reread the earlier books. I do wish the book book was a little longer.

Disappointing

Slow moving, boring, very short book. Very disappointing after waiting so long for the next book in this series.
Hopefully the next will be better.
