My kids love these books, but they need a legit editor

My boys like the story in these books, probably because the kids almost die at the end of every chapter, but from a homeschool mom’s perspective, this book wasn’t great. The story is fun, but the science info is awkwardly placed in the story and rather scant. By the end of the book, it felt like a bit of a waste of time for me.

Definitely not as entertaining as the first one, but just as many editing errors. Basic things like using “know” instead of “now”. Using plural and singular in the same sentence. Using “then” instead of “the”. Or things that just plain don’t make sense. I guess we will read the next one because the kids don’t care about the editing errors and they loved the first one. The third one will decide if we continue with the series or not.

It was very very very BAD. Children traveling around the world by themselves fighting terrorists while learning about science!? This the best you could come up with for an anatomy book? I wish they just did a bunch of facts and not a story.

I cannot say enough about the Sassafras science series. Hilarious, adventurous, impressively broad in the scope of topics covered and their depth. We use this as a complete science curriculum in our home using fully illustrated reference books for my children to access as we read out loud. We can't wait to keep reading into the next subject!

I did not like this book very much. I preferred the other school books I read this year. This book is about two twins who travel around the world to collect data about the human body and then send all the data to their uncle, who is a scientist.
