Exquisite.... From the first page this is a stunning book. A sister and brother are left with their Aunt for as long as the tulips bloom. The Aunt gives them a gift. A truly unique gift of a packet of seeds. The little girl shuns the gift, and the first flowers that bloom are Spoiled and Argument. Soon the anger is washed away and is replaced by Cheerfulness. I had the pleasure of beta testing this app-book with my 3 yo, and I have to say that it has been both of our favorites for the past two months. He loves the animations and the story of the little girl, and there are so many layers in both the animations and the text for us to keep talking about. But what I love the most is how he has internalized the idea that the flowers represent emotions that he experiences. For example, I asked him to be patient last week, and he said "Like the turtle.
