AN UNEXPECTED REUNION TURNS INTO A LIFE-AND-DEATH SITUATION IN BEVERLY LONG'S THE MEN FROM CROW HOLLOW MINISERIES
On the run for her life, Chandler McCann never expected to find Ethan Moore, her childhood crush, at her family's Rocky Mountain cabin. Although the former army helicopter pilot had grown up to be honorably protective—and ruggedly handsome—could she confess why she'd really come to this remote hideaway?
Ethan could tell there was more to Chandler's "visit" than she'd say, but with secrets of his own to safeguard, he understood. Still, with unknown assailants suddenly hot on their trail and a brutal snowstorm bearing down on them, Ethan knew he'd do anything to keep the emerald-eyed beauty safe. And keep their spontaneous reunion from ending.
I really enjoyed this fast pace action packed story. The plot was very good. Ethan was Chandler's big brother's best friend when they were growing up. She has had a crush on him since she was 14. The story starts out with Chandler being pushed off the road down a embankment. Her car is stuck in the top of a tree. Ethan shows up out of nowhere and helps her out of her car. Ethan thinks he is in danger because of a military mission gone bad. Chandler thinks she is in danger because she found out someone is selling company secrets. They go on the run together. The suspense of the story was excellent. The chemistry between the two was hot and steamy, but also sweet.
In Long’s romantic suspense novel, Chandler McCann is running for her life as she heads for her family’s remote cabin in the Rocky Mountains. To her surprise, she finds her childhood crush, former army helicopter pilot Ethan Moore in residence. Both with secrets to hide, they find unknown assailants hot on their trail along with a heavy snowstorm. As passion ignites between them, Ethan knows he’ll do anything to keep her—and their future—alive.
A fast-paced story of an unexpected reunion that turns into a life and death situation.
This is a Harlequin novel, so of course, there was some romance in the air. Our protagonist, Chandler McCann finds herself literally in a tree after a car chases her off the road. She is on the property of Ethan Moore, who happens to be her brother’s friend who she liked ever since she was a little girl. He rescues her out of the tree.
They end up on an adventure together with some assailants following them. They try to figure out why they are chased. Chandler is sure that her step-mother has been selling private information from her company and tells Ethan they need to go there to find out what Chandler’s step-mother is up to. However, Ethan is hiding secrets of his own from a past military mission he was involved with. He wonders if he is actually the cause of Chandler being in danger.
While on this adventure, they fall in love. This is fun, light-reading novel.
Chandler McCann suspects her stepmother of selling classified defense information to the enemy. Chandler is driving to the family mountain cabin when her car is forced off a snowy mountain road. Childhood friend, Ethan Moore is staying at a nearby cabin when he hears the noise from Chandler’s crash. Together, Chandler and Ethan find the evidence they need while dodging danger along the way.
Overall, I liked the story. However, I don't like that the heroine was risking others' lives just to protect her father's feelings. It would be an okay motivation if it had just been her and the hero, but when she knows there's a search and rescue team looking for her after she's "disappeared" but she doesn't say anything, that's just shitty.
And the way the heroine's brother pops up for a brief moment--basically to indulge in brostanding with the hero--then disappears before anything's resolved felt weird.

This is fast becoming my most favorite author! Hunted was suspenseful, well organized and sexy! I had a long flight for a business trip and was so intrigued I read the entire book in one flight. There is great authenticity to the characters in the story....thanks for a fabulous read Ms. Long!
Thank you Beverly Long. I am not usually a reader of intrigue books but I won this one in a contest and decided to read it. This book was a wonderfully written story that moved along and kept me interested throughout the book. I highly recommend this book.
"Long knows how to draw the suspense out, punctuating it with ferocious action and simmering desire to keep readers hooked" (RT Book Reviews). 4 1/2 stars
A New Series that will hold you in its grip until the every end of the book. New Series Men from Crow Hollow; #1in series Hunted will get you thinking about your Family.
This is my first book by Beverly Long and it was an excellent and exciting read The story of Chandler McCann’s flight from the defense contractor where she works because she has discovered treasonable activity and is fleeing from unknown thugs out to get her is filled with suspense. Fleeing to her family’s mountain cabin she discovers her childhood friend, Ethan Moore, is also there as he is re-adjusting to civilian life after retiring as an Army helicopter pilot under strained circumstances. The action is fast and exciting and I will definitely be reading more by Beverly Long very soon.
