Wiccan Lies was a great little read. It gives the reader everything needed to keep you turning the pages to see what will happen next. MacKenzie is going through life unaware of the changes that are about to take place that will send her life in a totally new direction. There will be new people and new responsibilities that she has to face as well. DJ Shaw has created a magical world and did a great job of telling Mackenzie's journey. This story offers mystery and a ton of twists and turns to ke ...more

I must say that the more I read of this author, the more I like her writing style and I have to say that this is by far my favorite one yet. This is a unique and very interesting story that captured my attention from beginning to end. I love the twist and turns the author put on this story. The way she made it to where I HAD to read more just to find out what would happen next. The exceptional characters made me love the story even more and made me enjoy the remarkably dark and phenomenal plot. ...more

I absolutely loved Wiccan Lies!
I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed reading this book about the Wiccan life of Ms. Spayde. I loved how the plot was laid out and enjoyed the life MacKenzie lived in.
The chapters are short but it is a great book so it makes it feel like a really fast read.
I would definitely recommend this book to so many people. It’s a great story.

Wiccan Lies by DJ Shaw my review

This is the first book, which ends leaving you begging for more. The ending is abrupt but the book is brilliant. I’m very much looking forward to reading the next in the series.
Mac’s life is turning in so many different directions, what with trying to have a date, finding out about her deceased father’s past and being told she is a Wiccan and needs to learn her craft. Never mind strange phone calls and her best friends annoying

"Wiccan Lies" is the story of MacKenzie (Mac) Spayde, her discovery of a family secret hidden in the attic since her mother was committed years earlier as well as her best friend Rapzodie McGuire, Rap's husband Ethan and Damion, someone Mac is deeply drawn to after a short dance at a club opening.

Mac begins having strange "life-like" dreams staring herself, Ethan and Damion (though she doesn't realize it is them). The story really draws you in and has you hooked like a fish on the end of a fish

I was given a gift copy of this book in exchange for a n honest review. Mackenzie is a young woman who has been dealt some tough blows in her short life but has still managed to come out of it with a job she loves and a best friend who is like a sister to her. When she is on one of her freelancing jobs she runs into Damion who she is instantly drawn to and she has no idea why. Shortly after their encounter a series of wired events happen to her. As she tries to puzzle this out she attempts to le ...more

I received a copy from the author for an honest review...

As much as I love the paranormal genre, especially witches, it didn't hold my interest as I was hoping it would. I struggled to get into the book but it was written to the point where my curiosity took over to see what would happen next. I think it was because I was hoping for more details to the characters so that I can actually "visualize" them as I like to do. With that note, I will say that the author kept the storyline moving in a fas

Wiccan Lies was a fun easy read. MacKenzie is a young woman who is going along in her life with no real idea of who she is or what she is. Her father is dead and her mother is in a mental institution. MacKenzie's journey to discover herself and her mother begins when she finds a letter in the attic. She learns that her mom and she, herself, are Wiccan. Thus begins her journey to learn not only about her mother but about what it means to be Wiccan. The story ending leaves so many possibilites for ...more

Wiccan Lies by author D.J. Shaw, told through first person is the story of a young woman and main character, Mackenzie Spayde. In reading this, I actually found Mackenzie an interesting character, however at times, I felt myself feeling a bit uninterested in the plot and the way things were moving along, which is the reason I gave it four stars instead of five. Just an all right book overall.

Wiccan Lies is a great book. It held my interest throughout the book. Seeing all the different challenges that MacKenzie went through, from finding out that her mother and herself were Wiccan and discovering what that entailed to finding out about Skinwalkers, made me not put down this book until I finished it. I would definitely recommend this book!
