A Maverick Makeover

Rust Creek Ramblings

Nick Pritchett, that hunky blond carpenter from Thunder Canyon, has been doing his share to put the town back together after the Great Flood. He's great with a hammer and popular with the ladies. Maybe a bit too popular, if you ask his best bud, Cecelia Clifton!

Cecelia's come to town looking for L.O.V.E., but according to Nick, she's

Terrific friends to lovers story. Nick came to Rust Creek Falls to help rebuild after the Flood and Cecelia came not long after. They grew up together in Thunder Canyon and have been friends for a long time. Another reason that Cecelia came to Rust Creek was in hopes of finding love, after ending a relationship back home. She's not having much luck here either and is about ready to give up and go home, until Nick offers to help her find a match.

I really enjoyed the relationship between Nick and

Cecelia's is a good character. She is a contractor. Ceclia's wants to find a husband but she is almost ready to leave Rust Creek.
She is kind and does a lot to help others. She is also a good baker.

Nick Pritchett is a busy carpenter. Cecelia's has been Nick's friend since young. He does not want her to leave Rust Creek so he wants to help her find a guy. He teaches her how to grab a guy's attention.

It is fun to see Nick teaching Cecelia how to wear red lipstick and be more eye catching. He

Lu en français.
Ca faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas lu un livre aussi nul. L'histoire devient un peu intéressante à la fin, mais à ce moment-là c'est déjà trop tard. A éviter absolument.

This was well-written and fun.

Basically, Maverick for Hire is a friends-to-lovers story with the added twist of a hero who helps the heroine with her makeover. I liked the writing and thought it was sometimes funny and always engaging.

Of course I absolutely a hundred percent do not believe that the plain Jane dormouse heroine would suddenly be asked out by a gazillion men literally the moment she puts on some lipstick! Unless it was magic lipstick. I also don’t really en

Welcome back to Rust Creek. Nick Prichett and Cecella Clifton grew up together in Thunder Canyon. Nick moved to Rust Creek to help with rebuilding the town and to utilize his carpentry skills. Cecella came to town looking for "Love" because the town had a way of bringing the bachelor's to wedded bliss.

Nick tries to show Cecella that she needs to put herself out there. As her childhood friend, and a man who isn't looking to commit to walking down the aisle, he tells her how to go about it. Let h

Maverick for Hire is another good addition to the Rush Creek collection. This time we have life long friends who have come to Rush Creek to work and in the case of Cecelia Clifton to find love. Her friend Nick Pritchett wants nothing to do with commitment but decided to help Cecelia find what she is looking for. Of course we all can see that they are made for each other. This has been used many times but it is still a great set up for a love story.

Leanne Banks takes the concept and runs with it

While this continues a series about the Maverick family, and features a carpenter running a repair service, the main focus is on a lovely, capable, Montana lady who works in the building trade. She oversees developments and wears steel-toe boots, disdains dresses as impractical and doesn't own a lipstick. I presume she has a lip salve to protect her lips against the weather, but I didn't see a mention of it.

The lady has no boyfriends while the man has too much female attention, so he generously

Cecelia is back in town after a failed relationship. As a way to help her best friend Nick is also known as the town playboy is willing to help her find a guy. With just some red lipstick and a change of clothing he is sure to find a guy for her. The problem is the more people who go out with her the more he wants her to himself.

I really enjoyed this short and sweet book. I liked Cecilia's character she was pretty down to earth. I liked that at times I got Nicks POV of how things went. I liked

Maverick for Hire by Leanne Banks is the latest installment in the popular Montana Mavericks series. This is a fun best friends to lovers story with touches of Pygmalion thrown in to provide a new twist. In addition, there is plenty of trademark Banks humor and heart. Cecelia and Nate are fun to watch make the transition from best friends. This is a quick, fun summer read that won’t disappoint.

Maverick For Hire a Montana Mavericks: 20 Years In The Saddle series by Leanne Banks was a very good book. Women move to the small town since a lot of men live there. Nick Pritchett is a carpenter working there. Cecelia Clifton moves there also. Nick and Cecelia grew up together. Nick never noticed Cecelia as a romance interest until she started dating single men in the small town. Then he wants Cecelia. A very good read.

"Banks’ Montana Mavericks romance is down home and genuine. Her hero and heroine are charitable, honorable and a little naughty, which is especially nice during their convincing friends-to-lovers transition" (RT Book Reviews, 4 stars).
