A Fair Book With A Whiney, Insecure Heroine That Was Stuck On Rewind

This was a book that I somewhat liked but didn't love. I feel it had much more potential than was displayed and was so disappointed with Indigo, the heroine. She was an insecure, whiny, stuck-on-rewind, female who was no heroine in my opinion. By the middle of the book I wanted to throttle her and began skipping the parts where Indi whined, complained or did her woe-is-me act. I didn't feel the need to read it for the twentieth or thirtieth time.

It grew old and became boring. She lived in the past because of a mistake she made. It wasn't even her fault but she took all the blame and refused to trust a man. It really was ridiculous.

You know, a little insecurity is expected but she would not even except the fact that the Prince loved her and wanted to spend his life with her regardless. She seemed to be insecure about most everything except her work. Personally she was not the brightest star in the sky and had many misconceptions that just did not seem realistic to me nor did they make sense.

Now...the hunk of a Crown Prince was top notch. I could have read about a hot romance with him all day. He was wonderful in every way but how he could put up with her wishy-washy attitude I have no clue. I guess we saw all those inner thoughts and insecurities through her thought process and he didn't hear it all constantly as the reader did.

Would I recommend is a hard one to answer. I would say that it is a book that I would not reread. Am I sorry I read it? No, because I enjoyed the Crown Prince but it is not an ideal situation when you have a fantastic, too good to be true, hero and a love interest that you didn't care for.

I really enjoyed this book. The way Indigo, and Lorenzo meet was priceless. I really loved how much fun Indigo, and Lorenzo had throughout the story. Lorenzo fell in Love with Indigo before he even knew she was pregnant. The book didn't have a lot of drama, both Hero, and Heroine never got angry, or fought. They both were grown adults. This story was just a delight to read. I loved the fact that it didn't take a accident or anything big, to make Lorenzo know he loved Indigo. He just knew he loved her. It did take Indigo a little longer to know she was right for him. He was a king, and she didn't think she would ever be good enough for him. I'm glad she had the courage to go for it, and just see where the love in their hearts would take them. If you just want a light read, that will leave you smiling, then you may enjoy this short story. It was worth the time.

Some say that love happens with just one look, in the case of Indigo Moran it does not quite work out that way. She takes one look into the eyes of a dark and mysterious stranger, snaps his picture and voila all chaos breaks out. Who does he think he is anyway, a Prince?

Later that night Indigo finds out that yes the mysterious stranger is in fact a Price, Crown Price Lorenzo Torelli of Melvante to be exact.

As Crown Prince, Lorenzo 's duties lies with his country and his people. It's what he was brought up to do, it's a duty he cannot escape but one kiss with Indigo and he knows that one unforgettable night will never be enough to rid his soul of the overwhelming feelings he feels for her.

It's bring her home and make her his wife, simple and easy journey to romance, right? No way this is a Kate Hardy book and she knows how to spice it up, you see Indigo has a secret that's about to turn Lorenzo's perfectly orchestrated life into the musical of the year, complete with loads of drama.

This book was the perfect fairy tale read, it had the chance meeting, the secrets, the passionate affair, the obstacles, the For Crown and Country and is the perfect example of just why I read romance.

Both main characters were fun and witty in their own unique manner, and their connection was so very real it had me in tears, and it again showed just why this author is a master when it comes to creating a romance read so powerful it takes the reader to new heights of happiness. The read was so much more than just two characters meeting and a modern day fairy tale being brought to life.

Extremely emotional, sweet and sensual , sweet and so very charming. I especially loved that the author gave Indigo a low self esteem, I know it sounds bad but let me explain. The entire low self esteem drama showed the character of Indigo as real, we have all either been there of know someone that has had their self esteem blown to bits because of something that happened in the past. Some eventually get over it, sadly there are others that never fully recover, but with the help, understanding and love of others self esteem can be re-built into a person that has confidence to the point where it simply shines from within.

And that is exactly what Lorenzo, (btw Kate I love that name, it is one of the sexiest I have ever come across and definitely royal material) does and that made him even more attractive than any other Prince I have come across in romance reads. I truly enjoyed the character of Lorenzo, kind, caring, masterful, commanding when needed and perfectly balanced.

If you are in need of a blissful afternoon of romance, this is the perfect read, or even if you just dream of meeting a Prince!

I highly recommend this read for all fans of modern day fairy tale romance reads. Sweet, sensual, captivating and simply a true diamond of a read!

This is really why I shouldn't read harlequin romances more than once a month (or three). I liked the stuff about the stained glass and the dogs, but really couldn't buy a crown prince about to become king marrying a free spirited, born out of wedlock, glass artist who didn't like being in the public eye. I couldn't buy that either one of the main characters would be happy, but especially the heroine.

This is like so many of the books that I like to read. Fast, easy and fun romantic contemporary fiction. Like many of these stories many of these stories are a little unbelievable.

I didn't like it, heroine was not enjoyable to read about. She was so insecure and kept thinking and saying she wasn't good enough for hero. P.

***4.5 Stars***

A chemistry that was felt immediately but she knows that she is not good enough for him, but they could have a fling in which they both would walk away once it was over.

I have to say that this was a very fun; light read that I enjoyed reading. Ms. Hardy paces the story well and kept my interest. The characters were interesting and just made me smile. I love it when I get lost in a story because of the storyline.

Indigo Moran is a wonderful woman but she has a painful past. I could not believe what happened to her when she was just a child. Her mother abandoned her and her father didn’t want to have anything with her. She at least had her grandparents that loved her and she ended up making them proud. But something else happened to her and she knew that if someone found out that she was with the Prince and her past was brought up it could go very bad. Indigo was a very creative woman and now she had a job that took her to a place where she meet a Prince, “the angel”, and a proposition that they both couldn’t deny.

Prince Lorenzo Torelli was a good looking man that would soon be the King of Melvante. Currently he was on let’s say a vacation before he took the throne and that when he met the woman that made his blood boil. Sure when he encountered her the first time he was kind of rude but soon they were introduced and oh my he liked her. He knew that shortly after he was crowned King he would have to search for a bride so right now he couldn’t think about being in a relationship. But when he kisses her for the first time it was like he needed to do much more he wanted her. So when the proposition happened he couldn’t say no.

Crown Prince, Pregnant Bride was a good read. Both of the characters were likable, they were real. There were many emotions happening in this book and that was not it the drama. The chemistry that they shared was passionate. Lorenzo was a wonderful man that cared for Indigo. Indigo was a special woman a woman that was so real and I knew she would shine.

I totally recommend this read to readers that love romance!!

Lorenzo is going to be king, its all he's ever known would happen in his life. One day he'd take a wife and they would have children and he would rule and be there for his people. Taking the summer, he was staying with friends and he meets Indigo (Indi). At first he's sure shes a paparazzi. His mistake is realized when she is at dinner that night. He's drawn to her like he's never been to anyone ever, but he's just free for the summer. He will go back to his country and rule.

Indi is memorized by the angry looking man in the gardens. She snaps his picture and he demands it to be deleted. She thinks he's a odd gardener to not want his picture taken. Then she finds out he's a friend of the family they are both staying with. She doesn't know he's a prince but she is drawn to him. Sparks fly when she finds out his secret but she doesn't stay mad too long. It steels her resolve that they could never have more than this summer fling.

Indi changed Lorenzo, for the better. He was more relaxed and at ease. Even the people of his country knew it. They could tell that he was softer. I loved watching Lorenzo making his case and proving that she could be the princess that he needed. Indi had been burned before so even though she loves Lorenzo she's not sure she can trust her heart with him, and she doesn't want to disappoint his family. Fantastic read that was easy and fast. This book didn't disappoint me at all. Check it out!

Review
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, like I do nearly all of Harlequin's books. This book was engaging, fun, emotive, a little bit provocative and sweet. Yes, this is essentially a fairytale for adults, it still makes my heart race and wish for the whimsical.
The author's writing was right on point for this story, the way she was able to get across what the characters were feeling and make the reader feel it too was in it's own way something magical. I honestly can't remember off the top of my head if I have read anything by Kate Hardy before, but one thing I know, I will be seeking her out to read again.

Indigo (Indi) met Lorenzo at a party. It was not their first meet as their first meeting was when Lorenzo thought she was a paparazzi trying to get to him. But soon he realised he was wrong when she was introduced to him at a dinner. Lorenzo is soon going to be a king. He doesn’t need complication at this time of his life. Taking off the summer when he knew would be his last term of freedom, he jumped into a summer fling with Indi and both of them know that it is gonna be a short lived affair. Soon, Lorenzo knew that he fallen in love with her and wanted to be with her but Indi realised her shortcoming and that he have his responsibility to his country.

This is a modern Cinderella fairy tale which I really enjoyed it. It is a sweet romance read for me with likeable character especially Lorenzo whom is very brave to acknowledge his love and have qualm to admit it despite the fact that he comes upon as a cold person at the beginning of the story and a solid story plot.

The first time Prince Lorenzo Torelli of Melvante meets Indigo Moran he believes she is another paparazzi. The second time he meets her, Lorenzo realizes how wrong he was about her and that she has no clue who he is. For just a moment he can be himself and she treats him as any other person and he relishes in that fact. Once Indigo realizes who he is the pretense is gone, but as Lorenzo readily shares he wants them to go on as they were. Both know there is no hope for more than a brief affair and both jump into it, despite the fact it will be short lived. However, Lorenzo believes that Indigo is meant to be by his side and wants her as his bride, but Indigo believes he has a duty to his country and she is not suitable. Who will win this charming battle of the wills?

"4.5 out of 5 stars!!! Another Cinderella-esque novel shoots for the stars and soars!! Indigo and Lorenzo meet while staying at a mutual friends' house, during their time there, they get to know each other, agree to a short "mad" affair together while staying there, and unknowingly fall in love. Yet, because of Indigo's past and a big mistake she made, Indigo doesn't feel worthy of carrying on their relationship after their agreed-upon end date. Therefore, Lorenzo sets out to prove that while it won't be easy, where Indigo belongs is to be with him. Luckily, fate agrees with Lorenzo too..."

CROWN PRINCE, PREGNANT BRIDE by author Kate Hardy is August 2014 release by Harlequin Presents series.

Indigo Moran met Lorenzo Torelli at a friend’s house and they decided to have a fling as they knew their relationship couldn’t go long as Lorenzo was a king in waiting.

But getting back to his kingdom Lorenzo decided to bring Indigo as he loved her and couldn’t live without her. Would Indigo let Lorenzo make that decision for her? And what of Indigo’s secret? What would Lorenzo say to a baby out of wedlock?

CROWN PRINCE, PREGNANT BRIDE is a sweet royal romance. I loved the tender feelings portrayed by author Kate Hardy. It is a heartwarming tale of two opposites falling for each other. Kate Hardy’s expert penmanship would keep a reader reverted to the story till the last page.

Recommended for all lovers of romance.

I don't normally cry while read a romance. I did with this book. The story was sweet and romantic and fun. It was a modern day fairytale and who isn't a sucker for that?! Indigo (love that name!) And Lorenzo grabbed me from page one...witty, but subtle banter, romantic gestures and a real connection. I wasn't hit over the head with what they looked like, any smoldering looks or even sex...it was a nice change of pace, to be honest!! The kind of romances I read when I was a teen and started my love of both reading and romance. It was a wonderful reminder and a fantastic book!

Ok, tbh I wasn't as much in love with this as I hoped I would be.

I liked both Lorenzo and Indigo, but I found their story rather boring. Particularly the character of Lorenzo. I don't know if it was the pace or whatever, but I found myself skipping a lot while reading this.

Great they were together and all, but it came to a point where I just didn't care much for them. :-(

I found the story just...ok.

This one was really cute. I loved Indigo, but I wish she would've had a bit more self-esteem. I always hate it when the girl does one tiny thing wrong and automatically thinks the guy fell out of love with her because if it. Other than that, I really liked this book. Clichéd, but in a good way. Kind of impossible to not be with romance novels, though.
