I read this book in 1998 and I deeply resonate with the information. One day in between customers I’m browsing in a bookstore, and I spot a book that looks interesting to me. Twin Souls: A Guide to Finding Your True Spiritual Partner. The back cover reads: “You can know that you are indissolubly linked with another. Your meeting is destined.” I go home and I start to read this treasured work. Right away, I am blown away by the material.

The message throughout the pages resonated deep within my being. A lot has been written about this extremely rare connection in recent years. Not long ago, I read a Twin Flame is more mystical than the traditional Soul Mate. We now have a dichotomy between Soul Mates and Twin Flames. It’s great that these once esoteric terms are now in the mainstream, but the spiritual significance of these connections are being degraded.

A true Soul Mate is not traditional; our collective has twisted the initiated meaning to mean a temporal ordinary attraction. A Soul Mate is far from being temporal. When you truly meet a Soul Mate, they will give you a charismatic gift. Soul Mates (who are also non-romantic) along with Twin Flames are your spiritual family, but Soul Mates help you wake up to your immortal Soul. By the time you are blessed to reunite with your soul's counterpart (Twin Flame), you would be awakened by the help of your Soul Mates.

If you take the gift that you were given, and you devote the time and energy to transform your ego and balance your own Karma (Each person must transform their own Karma and be one with the Divine, before one is reunited with their Twin Flame). You are in a good position, (but not before) to cross paths with the ultimate Soul Mate-the Twin Flame. I recommend the Twin Souls: A Guide to Finding Your True Spiritual Partner for the wisdom.

I have read this book on several occasions, I find the concept of the material of this book to be accurate as I understand it.
Showing that we all have a person a Mate a Twin Soul who is meant for each of us..
Rare to find such a one in this day and age but it happens but we have to live many lives and lessons before the final meeting.. Circumstances Can turn your life on its head, the book demonstrates how this can effect someone's life and why the things happen the way they do.
The universe and Spiritual power controls our very existence is discussed in this book and ultimately we are on a quest a journey to meet up with the other half of ourself, someone with whom mirrors our very existence but shows belonging, is like coming HOME.

I would recommend this book if you are interested in Spirituality and have found the LOVE of your Life through tials and tibulation.
Thus helping you to understand the reasons for your existence and the deep feelings felt for this other being, one who you will ultimately be with in this physical existence when your lessons in life are being learnt and fulfilled, then on into eternity forever.

Complex Book but helpful if you have met your Twin Soul..

I wasn’t planning on reading this book but it jumped out at me while at a bookstore, since I had just recently read up about twin flames/twin souls.

Having found my twin six years ago, this was a fantastic and insightful read! Not only did it give confirmation after confirmation about everything about our relationship (and how it all began), but it also reaffirmed our deep connection and what our job is while here on this earth.

Highly recommend this book, as everyone is in some phase of working toward reuniting with their twin, if they haven’t already. 💗

This book is specifically for those who are trying to make sense of the Twin Flame hype that is going on in the New Age Community or social media, like YouTube. There are several videos on YouTube that state 10 or 22 signs that you've met your "Twin Flame". I read this book because I wanted to see if it coincided with the all the hype on YouTube. Jourdry's look at the Twin Soul is another view point on the Twin Flame story that is being told by hundreds of people who think they've found their "Twin Flame". I found the first half of the book interesting and reasonable. Her theories seem more grounded and probable then the viewpoints on YouTube. The last half the book seemed overwritten and flowery. I was skeptical of her opinion on soulmates and group soul. There were also some ideas she brought up that contradict YouTube "Signs You've Met Your Twin Flame". She has her theories about the Twin Soul. I take them with a grain of salt. Such as the theory that "Twin Souls" have never been related in a family and they must always be unrelated because of sexual union and gender attraction they have to experience in one another. She says that only soulmates can be in the same family. All of Joudry's theories are speculation and I don't entirely agree with them. She said that Twin Souls would never commit incest. Incest is against societal rules and norms. I'm sure there have been strange situations in primitive society where there might have been attempted acts of incest within a Twin Soul union, like in their early incarnation with one another. Jourdy has some interesting theories. I don't agree with all of them nor can they be proved. There is so much unknown about the spiritual realm and twin souls. I don't think it can be summed up in a nice, tight box of theories like Jourdy has done. According to her, I have not met my twin soul and according to YouTube, I have. So this book brought up more doubt and more questions, plus a new understanding of the "Twin Flame" trend.

Zweverig, heteronormatief, transfoob en moraliserend. Het vraagt wat werk om daar doorheen te kijken en de waardevolle kern aan informatie te zien die het boek toch bevat.

Well, this book wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I was browsing through a local bookstore that was having a 50% sale and happened to pick this one up out of sheer curiosity. I'd occasionally heard of the twin soul theory mentioned in poetry and other things I've read so I was curious to see if there was really any merit to soul mates. Before I go any farther, if you're into spiritual stuff, in particularly Hinduist and possibly Bahai viewpoints, this is for you. If you're like me, hoping to read something more empirically based, don't even pick this book up. I am not a very spiritual person, hence why I rated this book so low.

Like I mentioned before, I think this book is coming from a Hinduist standpoint. The authors never state anything directly about their faith but because they seem to characterize everything as god and even mention the Christian Christ on the same playing field, I'm assuming that there is a large element of Hinduism behind the scenes influencing this book. The authors seem to insinuate that meditation is a big part of ordering your thoughts and finding your place in a confused population of humans. They also seem to think that having an occupation that helps people is important to finding your place as well. Interestingly enough I find that this lines up with Greek philosophy, in particularly what I've read from Artistotle (though I am no expert on Greek philosophy so don't punch me in the face for being inaccurate). Both tell us to figure out who we are, define ourselves to the best extent and then perhaps we will find someone to live our lives with. Both just suggest self discovery through different methods one more mystical than the other.

The writing is ok. The book is a quick read and rotates a nice assortment of stories, poems and quotes from philosophers throughout its investigation of finding the proper person to live your life with. As a side note, I find it funny that most of the personal accounts about love or finding that special person are from women. haha. If you've had a lousy relationship history, this book might be able to help you straighten things out but I would honestly recommend looking elsewhere first. I was hoping to perhaps read about similarities in the brain between two people that have a successful relationship or something like that, not read about whimsical fairy tales. I'm embarrassed to have this book on my shelf but nevertheless I read it and I'm posting this to make my reading history more genuine.

So I read this in 2017, and then again in 2020 (it now had a new allure). I subsequently decided to raise my rating from a 3 to a 4, as there was a lot of information in here u found relevant and that resonated, but also some pieces of information or perspectives that for me seemed inaccurate/ that did not resonate or feel true to me.
Regardless, it was an interesting and relevant read, but as with everything, read at your own discernment, and listen to your own guidance and response to the information - and trust it above all else.

Moeilijk ...
