Given that I have never really "read" a photography book before this, I was not certain what exactly to expect. I thought it would just be page after page of artfully photographed scenes; instead, Mr. Mulatier also included some quotes scattered throughout the book, quotes about life and nature, quotes to make one think proactively and to make one pause in introspection.

While I was looking through the images, occasionally I noticed patterns, like when there was a Japanese statue in the scene, or

Very nice old photos of autumn scenery. But why say "European autumns are generally monotonous. The weather is gray and the colour of the foliage barely varies from ochre to brown. [....] may have wistful charm, it has nothing in common with the fireworks of a North American autumn, when the leaves challenge even flowers with their outrageous display of colours" when the majority of photos are European autumn scenes??
