Spirit Taylor is a writer. She knows this. A thousand strange creatures are imagined to haunt the woods waiting to dine and do unmentionable things to unwise travelers. Anyone with a heartbeat knows that the woods are just plain creepy.
But on this one occasion, Spirit forgets to be careful. After hearing that her boyfriend wants to date other women, Spirit leaves the safety of her cabin and walks out into the night.
From there, her life takes a strange turn. She meets the Wolfman. He steps out of the shadows and forever alters the course of her life.
Before long, Spirit will begin to understand that the world is fat with magic. Reality is not always as it seems. Anyone can be a monster. A story can change your life. And a heart can be drawn to two men at the same time, even if one is a wolf.

Unusual and well written
This was an excellent story! Completely unique. What an achievement in an overcrowded genre. Suspense building is consistent and subtle. The writing style at times reminds me of gothic style. Dark overtones of timeless fate and loss persist but are balanced by love and loyalty. This was an incredibly enjoyable read.

I was pleasantly surprised by this! I'm also a bit surprised that there aren't more reviews. You really should give this one a chance! It was short, but I quickly grew to care for the characters. I liked it's feel of magic. Definitely one of those hidden gems that any fantasy or fairytale fan needs to pick up.

This novella could use some editing, but it's still a very whimsical read and a very different take on a werewolf romance. I love the idea of fated mates and love transcending time. There's not a drop of spice, but it doesn't necessarily need it. The ending did feel like it was a little rushed and came up on me suddenly, but this is a series so there's more to be had. I'm not sure I'll continue with the series though because . However, if you're looking for a unique spin on a werewolf/fated mates romance then this could be your next read!
P.S. - He didn't need to do the squirrel like that 😭

Great Read
Great start to a AWESOME series. Characters and plot had suspense and the ending I had all wrong. Pace never slowed, I was engaged the entire time. Now on to book 2...enjoyed so much and you will too.
