Wish I would have had this book before I went to my first few conferences! As the author mentions, most people go to conferences or big events to see what can be done for them and how people can help them vs. how to market themselves. Networking is huge and I wish I had known more about how to truly network when I was younger but this book has it all. We can constantly improve ourselves as well even if you think your networking game is good, please check out this book! The breakdown of how to define yourself and what that shows in success and skills as well as values for others was incredible. The goal template and conference affirmations are something I really loved and this was just part 1 of 3 in the book. The first part helps set your ideas about yourself, goals, etc. The second part is more about during the conference and the do’s and don’ts as well as how to truly connect with people. The last part is what to do after a conference to really make the most of the experience. This means going through the goals that you established to see if you met them or not and how to reset the goal so it will happen the next time. There are tips on how to keep in contact with people and maintain the connection. Another great benefit is that there is an audiobook (love to use when I work out or run) and also an action guide you can use along with your reading! I didn’t have the action guide the first time but now that I have read this book and seen all the benefits, I am going to go through it again.

This book is a huge help for people who have to face an audience and who like to be in the world of conferences. The idea is to understand from the author's experiences how to deal with this situation and some tips to enjoy the process much more. When the author entered his first conference, he was not thinking about being of service to others but about meeting people who can help him, changing this mentality changed his way of interacting with people both in conferences and in his normal life.

It talks about the importance of going to these networking events, but this book prepares you to handle it before, during and after attending a conference and hacks to get free entry and get the most out of these events, also tools and tops for networking.

Before the conference you would need to know certain things like who you are, this includes your hobbies, successes, skills and values. Then you should investigate about the topic you are talking about, doing research is one of the most important things to make you feel comfortable with the public. During, you should have a good presence so the public would be paying attention to you, knowing all the dos and don'ts are fundamental and just get to know the people and have great relationship.

In the end, you would have time to check all the things you have done, and have a follow up of the things you have to improve, and more important this, all that don’t lose the connections you’ve made, that’s the key.

Conference Crushing by Tyler Wagner is an easy-to-read and action-oriented book. Here, the author explains how to become more successful and grow a network by attending networking events the correct way. The book provides 17 highly effective skills to work on for building better relationships and growing strong working connections. However, my favourite part of the book is the one with the personal stories about Tyler's experiences at conferences. He has a friendly writing style which makes the ideas easy to understand and likely for anyone to accomplish. The techniques presented here are going to be present in my next meeting. In my opinion, Wagner is the first author that deals with these issues without seeming to be too arrogant or trying to make it look simple and then suggesting impossible ideas. So, I recommend this book 100%

Crushed it!

Amazing! I have always had a hard time networking, talking to people easily but knowing how to start and get their attention to actually be in my network has always been a challenge. As I have chosen my new business venture the next step is networking, and this book has been absolutely helpful in teaching me where to start. The 17 rules are so easy to follow and provide a lot of realistic examples that allow me, the reader, to understand and implement them. I personally love rule number 7, the don'ts in a conference, this is helpful and realistic , at least I know what not to do at my next conference, saves me time and effort , also resources. Getting out of my comfort zone was a great chapter too. This is a short but informational read, a must read for those who would like to grow their network through conferences.

Where do I start? First of all, I would like to say that I finished Tyler Wagner's book in a single sitting. I know that it’s short, but at the same time it’s so productive that I read some pages twice.
As regards the tone, it’s very conversational and has a friendly, it has an "I’m here to help" attitude. Page after page, I felt as if I were being guided rather than just told what to do and this is more than valuable.
One of my favorite parts and the one I think helped me most is the rule number four. In this section, the author talks about personal relationships and gives ideas on how to build them.
“Conference Crushing” is an easy to follow piece of work that I absolutely recommend.

This is a pretty specific aspect of business, but actually a very useful one: how to get the maximum ROI or return on investment from every networking event that is attended.
The book's approach is helpful and really practical, since it provides 17 highly effective skills, very clearly explained and very easily applicable to any field. Moreover, these rules are easy to implement at any level: educational or work, beginner or expert in each field.

This book is tremendously well organized; it’s divided into seventeen rules that help the reader to have more confidence in a conference.
The author emphasizes the importance of a good impression and he provides the reader with personal experiences that, in my opinion, is invaluable.
My only complaint about this amazing read is that it’s too short. I strongly believe that some theoretical points could have been expanded more without becoming monotonous or boring. This title is absolutely compelling and interesting; perhaps it could have been exploited a little more. All in all, it’s a book that I absolutely recommend.
I’m more than happy with this purchase; we never know when we will need these tips.

Clear and very interesting
In “Conference Crushing”, Tyler Wagner has written a useful guide that will give business people quite a lot to think about.
There are a wide range of strategies and ideas to implement in any company. Examples are included there so as to help the reader understand the nitty-gritty of networking, marketing, relationships, business life, among other important aspects in the field.
It´s a well-written and very interesting book that will enlighten those who are willing to boost their jobs. The bit that I liked about this book is the way each chapter starts and the phrases that accompany it. I found it simple and very clear for those who are in the field. I believe that it´s a must read.

This is one of those books that you might not even know you needed. I used to go to conferences, paid for by my job, enjoy the free food, enjoy hanging out with coworkers in a social setting, and go to the sessions and meetings during the day. But this book makes you realize what a waste that approach is. This short and easy to read book lays out what you can do to make the most of your time at a conference, with specific steps and tips to help you achieve this goal. It's an excellent motivator to get you to maybe step out of your comfort zone and take advantage of all that a conference can offer.

This invaluable book teaches readers us how to go about meeting people and networking successfully at such events. What makes the book so unique and valuable is that it teaches us vital skills that we are unfortunately never taught at college. I really appreciate that Wagner gives us so much guidance, not only for what to do during a conference, but also beforehand and afterwards. An extra bonus is that one can download the audiobook and action guide for free once one has purchased the book. Excellent value for money!

The author Tyler Wagner offers in his book called Conference Crushing a 17-step guide not only to get the most out of a conference but also to have the possibility to build networks at the same time.
Uniting their personal experiences with more specific knowledge on the subject the author manages to build advice applicable to many different areas of life.
I liked the format of the book since it inserts text boxes, with narrations and some clearly highlighted words or concepts, which makes it more dynamic and entertaining. It is the first book that I read about networkings and I think it will be really useful for me because I found clear and applicable tips here.
