5++++ stars!!!

I have had the privilege of reading an ARC copy of Olivia and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!!!! Olivia is the 2nd book in the Choisie series by Lori Otto. This book had me from chapter one and I couldn’t stop until I had too… the end. I cannot wait for the next book; I NEED more Livvy and Jon!!!! This truly is a beautiful series about young love and life told through the eyes of a young girl
It’s the next journey for Livvy and Jon… will their young love prevail against life

As always, Lori Otto does NOT disappoint. "Olivia", the second book in the Chosie series, is just as good, if not better than book 1 "Contessa". In "Olivia", Livvy and Jon's story continues with Livvy suffering the loss of her Granna. She loses her inspiration to paint and spends all her time with Jon. But, as in all love stories, "things" happen and Livvy is devastated.

This will be another series you won't be able to put down.

If Lori L. Otto continues to remain an undiscovered gem of a writer

5++ take your breath away stars!!! Wow - Lori you have done it again! I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this book and to say that I loved it would be an understatement! This is the second book in the Choisie series by Lori Otto.

This is the story of Livvy and Jon, their young love, and the triumphs and struggles along the way. I was invested in their story from the first chapter and literally could not put it down - luckily I had my husband to take care of the kids while I was in my

I loved this story.. Once again, Lori made me feel every emotion, sorrow, anger, happines, humor and love. I felt like screaming and yelling one minute only to be pulled back in from the edge and want to hug them. I found myself in emotional turmiol with some characters. One minute I like them and next I wanted to smack them. I am still reeling from all the events that took place in Olivia.
Lori Otto did a great job developing the characters and bring them to life in Olivia. She depicted a teenager

Melanie’s 5-BIG Star Review:

The phrase, “do not judge a book by its cover” conveys that one should not form an opinion on someone or something based purely on what is seen on the surface, because after taking a deeper look, the person or thing may be very different than what was expected. In the case of Olivia, you should absolutely judge it by its cover because it is as much a beauty as the story written inside.

Lori L. Otto impressed the pants out of me in her Emi Lost and Found series (my

Which is my favourite book by Lori L. Otto? It's the Lori L. Otto book I'm reading at the time.

Olivia continues the story of Livvy Holland, begun in the first book of the Choisie Series, Contessa. Ms Otto deftly shows the growth of Livvy into a mature and responsible adult, the growth in Livvy's relationship with her parents, her dad in particular, and the growth in Livvy and Jon's relationship.

Not everything is smooth sailing though. Livvy has to come to terms with a type of loss she's never

* Note to readers - Olivia is the 2nd book in the Choisie series (the spin-off of Emi Lost and Found) and although the series can absolutely be read alone I personally think the experience of reading it is better having read the Emi Lost and Found series.

I was given an ARC of Olivia for an honest review, and I can honestly say I loved it!! There is a slow and steady build to Lori’s stories that really works for me as a reader. I think it is through that pace that I have been able to appreciate

Ahhh, this story was ah-mazing! It played out like a movie in my head as I read. There is nothing like young uninhibited love. All of those “firsts” that you experience, the butterflies, blushes and those overwhelming feelings. Lori Otto did such an amazing job continuing Livvy’s story and accurately portraying her life as a 17 year old, in love, handling school, her art and of course her parents. Jack and Emi are such a large part of her life and maybe sometimes too much for Livvy. I loved ...more

Once again, Lori Otto did not disappoint! I had the privilege to receive an Advance Reader's Copy to read and review prior to the release date and I just finished reading. I cannot get enough of this story line! (I've read Emi: Lost & Found series 2x so far!)
Lori's best quality is tugging at my emotions when I'm reading. From the opening scene I was enveloped in the story- I don't want to give anything away! The story (and series) is so much like real-life with sadness, tragedy, confusion,

So where do I start? And what can I say? Other than how BRILLIANT Lori is and how awesome this book is!!!
I was lucky to get an arc of Olivia and OMG I love it! I found myself hooked to the book since page 1 and I kept holding my breath without notice it, because it IS Lori we are talking about after all and she always does stuff that would knock you out of your heels; because she's that good.

Olivia is the second book of the Choise Series and this time we can see how our Livvy becomes a mature

****Possible Spoilers****

Lori Otto is best known for her Emi Lost & Found series – a series about the life of Emi Hennigan, including a prequel and three of the most beloved and heartbreaking novels that I have ever read. If you have not yet read the Emi Lost & Found series, I highly recommend it! Be sure to read Not Today, But Someday, Lost & Found, Time Stands Still and Never Look Back – in that order – before beginning the spin-off Choisie series.

Olivia (choisie book 2)

First I'll start by saying that I rarely write books reviews. Not because I don't want to, but simply because i read so many books it's difficult to find the time. But sometimes you simply have to make the time for the things you feel are important.
I'm a huge fan of Lori L. Otto. She really does not get the recognition she deserves, I mean...WHY AREN'T MORE PEOPLE RAVING ABOUT THESE BOOKS? I was introduced to her writing during the Emi Lost and Found Series (which I

I had the pleasure of being an ARC for Olivia! Being a teenage girl myself, I can really appreciate the message portrayed in this book.I most appreciate that she is not afraid to hold back. This is the real deal. All of these thoughts and feelings are completely real. A teenage love story is a classic, and it seems to never change. This one though is the farthest from cliche- it is cut and dry, real emotions. We teenage girls, especially of this day and age, feel these things everyday. Lori Otto ...more

Great book!!! 5 Stars *****
Olivia is the second book of the Choisie Series. This is the story of a young girl who is going through a difficult time because she lost someone very close to her.

She is experiencing first love and that's one of the things I love about this book. We feel their love and we experience their sweet, impulsive, sad and happy moments along with them.

She is at a moment in her life when she has to start making decisions on her own and they might change her life forever or

I'm so in Love with this series it grabs me it's beautiful and emotional and seeing things from Livvy's perspective is eye opening.i can't explain it I don't read y/a really well regularly yet I'm so drawn to this series. The changes this family has gone through i can't form the correct words and how moving this is . Maybe again I have a 17 year old so it's so relatable .

I loved Olivia. Truly. As a whole, I truly enjoyed it. Enjoyed it soooo much, all the way up until 2:30 am. haha

It doesn't matter that I was nodding off at work the next day, or that I was yawning in a work meeting, or that I had this stupid smile on my face. My love is real for Jon... I mean this book is real.

*Screams* "I love you Jon!"

So we all know there are 2 more books in this series. This book ends on a *tiny* cliff... and we are left dangling!

Yes, Author Loi L. Otto has done it again.

I ask myself, "How does Lori do it?". She makes each book better than anything you would expect. This book touched my soul and made me want to call my daddy and thank jil for being so amazing.

This book is the sequel to Contessa although some time has lapsed. This book gutted me from the beginning with the loss in the family. I found myself cursing Lori for taking the last reminder of *him* away from me. Jon and Livvy's relationship progress but not without difficulty. I felt Jon would at times

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Olivia and I could not put it down!
Lori Otto has done it again! Written a book with such emotion that you can't help but feel so much for the characters... Love, hate, frustration, sadness, happiness...Sometimes all at the same time!!!
In this book Livvy really starts to get a sense of self. She seems to understand the consequences for her actions and isn't as selfish (she still has some selfish moments- but what 17 year old doesn't!!). In "Contessa" it

Wow, if I thought Contessa was a great book, this is an amazing book, it made me laugh, feel sad at those key situations, hell I even cried on the other scenes too. But worth every single word from this book. This story continuous where "Contessa" ended and it's a great continuation the transition Olivia has made from book one to book two is made perfectly, )I'll be clear to my point of view maybe some people may no agree with me but that's them to me it was done nicely) as well as Jon's and and ...more

I have been "chosen" to read an advanced reader copy of "Olivia" the second book in the Choisie series. Lori L. Otto did not disapoint. 'Olivia' is even better than the first in the series. The book grabs you from the first page and keeps you in suspense til the end and leaves you wanting more! I need me some more Livy and Jon! I am looking forward to the next in the series! Lori L. Otto is an amazing author that I will continue to read more of her work.

I’ll just put it out there from the get go. I love Lori Otto. I love every word she has ever written. I expect to love every word she writes in the future. If you’ve read anything by her before, chances are you agree with me. The thing I love the most about Lori is that she doesn’t write JUST a novel. She doesn’t write a couple of characters that you may or may not connect with. She doesn’t pull you in and you walk away when finished. Lori builds a world. She builds a world that characters your ...more

Again, another wonderful book by Lori L. Otto. You just can't not love her books and her characters.

First of all, I want to say thank you to Lori for giving me the chance to read and ARC of this amazing book. <3 I loved it and I can't wait to read the next one.

In book 1, you meet Contessa, Jack Holland's little girl, only she's not a little girl anymore. She's starting to grow up, to see the world through her own eyes and like I've said before, she wants it all, even if it means she has to

I really liked this book, I mean, of course I did. It's by Lori Freaking Otto. It was filled with all the elements I've come to expect from her novels- funny, sweet, dramatic, sexy, and at times, frustrating. Oh, and I can't forget the swoony moments either.

"You engage me and provoke me and you drive me to the brink of insanity, and just when I think I'm gone, you save me, Olivia. A brush of your hand. A Kiss. A whisper. I'd never felt so destroyed and yet so

Olivia is the second book in the new Choisie Series. It picks up right where Contessa left off so you must read Contessa first.

I want to start out saying that this book wrecked me in so many ways. I was so happy, sad, and heartbroken. Love is never easy and you really see it in this book. As it starts out in such sadness with the loss of a loved one, you find Jon supporting Olivia and never fails in showing his love for her. I think I fell more in love with him myself in this one.

Where do I even start with Olivia by Lori L. Otto, do you ever read a book or series and remember precisely where you were and what you were doing when you read it?
