Got this as a gift from my big sis when I got my first apartment almost 20 years ago, and it is my favorite recipe book ever!

I absolutely love this cookbook - I have used dozens of the recipes, and still use it a couple of times a month. I just made the Lemon Ginger Carrots for a big family Easter dinner this past weekend. When I make dishes from this book for guests, I am inevitably asked for the recipe. Can't give a better recommendation than that!

I love the really short ingredient lists, and in addition to the recipes, there are wonderful suggestions for good accompanying side dishes, and new ways to use leftovers.

This was my college dorm survival cookbook. All the recipes are tasty, quick and cheap to make. I've even dipped back into this volume some years later. The "Tex-Mex barley hot dish" was a favorite.
