Theoretically, yes. But part of me is expecting this to be spun out until they're all 90, like some other people said. I can see it now.

Everything in Rosewood is perfect. Even the nursing homes, where the privileged elite have one last hurrah.
Spencer needs a kidney, but the wait list is a little too long. Good thing she's got connections on the black market! Emily's roommate wants her to pull the plug on her... literally. Aria's always been eccentric, but she's downright batty now. And inquiring family members want to know where she hid the Montgomery-Kahn fortune. And Hannah needs to keep her sticky little fingers off the crash cart meds.
How do I know? Because even though these ladies are older, they're not any wiser. And if I have anything to say about it, these little liars aren't going to go gently in the good night.

Let me make it simple for all of you.

Pretty Little Liars: An Abridged Version: “They fucked up a lot. The end.”

It's really annoying how people complain how long the series has gotten. Just shut up, because you don't have to read the damn books. If you don't like it, don't read it. It's as simple as that.

I've done it, you guys. It's done.

I've finally given up on the Pretty Little Liars franchise.

I have officially decided that after thirteen books, if I'm still waiting and begrudgingly handing over $17.99 a pop to see where this dumb, drawn-out series goes, it's just not worth it. I bet even Shepard herself is getting depressed over the amount of story that is missing from the series.

The eighth book definitely should've been the last one. I'm so proud of myself for finally giving up.

We’re finally here. This is it. The promised land. The dream realised. The actual end of the PLL series. Please let it be so. I don’t think I can take another series extension.

We start with an epigraph from Orson Welles, a man who in all honesty would have been very unlikely to appreciate the PLL series. Then it’s on to the prologue, wherein Ali gloats over having somehow managed against all sense to frame the PLLs for her murder. We also find out that she has yet another secret helper. Who is

My blog post review

Vicious by Sara Shepard
book 16 in the Pretty Little Liars series

Actual Rating: 3.5/5 stars

Oh my gosh, it's over... how bittersweet!
I can't believe this series is over, after 16 books (I don't think i'll ever read a series bigger than this in my whole life) haha
It's honestly so strange to be sitting here writing my last ever review for the PLL books, unless more are added of course. We all know what Sara Shepard is capable of, hahaha, but

Alright Sara Shepard, let's end this! You can do it! There will seriously be a riot if you don't. I think the Internet might explode...

EDIT: what happened to the candy coloured covers??? Because this is the last one, it's going to be randomly emo now??? At least the title hasn't changed to something weird... Has everyone seen the new book Shepard is writing? It's called Perfectionists and I'm thinking the new characters are descendants of the PLL crew. You know, just to screw with us more. The c

I am legitimately sad to see this series end. And for reals this time, this book is the end of the road for these ladies. At least that's what the author says. But who knows?

Seriously, I could read about 50 more books in this series. I'm having a hard time letting go :(

This book had me all over the place. There was murder, intrigue, a court hearing, jail, suicide, fleeing the law and aiding and abetting. I know that's nothing new to the PLL series, but usually not all in the same boo

After Reading

While everyone ended up happy in the end, it was still an awful ending. But, hey, at least it was an actual conclusion this time.

It's so crazy to think I've been reading this series since I was fourteen! :O (I'm now 23).

I thought over all this book was a good ending to the series although I did have issues with a few things.

I get why a lot of people hate this series. 14 books out and not much has happened. But they're still pretty great, I mean... They're easy to read, and the story is still entertaining.

If this ends with all of them dead or in jail I'm going to be a very unhappy reader

Update: finished this book and read it in one night because I needed to know what happened and now I'm laying in bed at 1 o'clock in the morning crying because the series is over. I'm glad to finally have closure on the never ending questions these books led me to have but some questions are still unanswered. I'm relieved that the girls were able to finally conquer Ali and they out of Rosewood. So long Pretty Lit

Good riddance to these characters and this series! I AM DONE!! It amazes me that the author managed to write a 16 book series with characters who aren't really likable.

And OMG that ending. I just...I think I'm just speechless at the ridiculousness at this point.

Ok quick recap - at the end of the last book the girls were arrested for killing Ali based on police finding blood, Ali's tooth, and a journal written by Ali at the pool house the girls were stalking. Now the girls are about to go to tri
Yes! She wrote another one! And don't judge me for being happy that the series is never-ending. At least I can admit it. C'mon people. No matter how many times you post how much it "sucks" that Sara Shepard wrote another book, we all know that if you see the latest book in a library or bookstore, you will pick it up, sit down, and read it

Oh God. There are going to be more of these!
I'm out, people. There is a limit to which I can take stupidity and I've reached it.

Dafuq?? That cannot be the last book. Seriously.... That ending was totally setting up a book 17! Ackk

I'm starting to think Alison is A. Does any one else think that?
A very satisfying conclusion to the series! I'm glad I stuck with it to the end.

This is the last one, God is real.

It's finally over. Holy fuck.

*Possible spoiler ahead*

This series is precious to me. Maybe as precious as Harry Potter is to me, well maybe not THAT precious, but pretty damn close.

I can't believe I have been reading these since they first came out when I was 14. I still remember reading the first book within two hours on a family road trip to Boston. I remember finishing the last page and thinking 'holy fuck! This better be a series! It can't end like this!' I bought every book the day it was

I really hope this is the last book in the series, because I am so done here.

I am done with all the stupid mistakes that these four girls make. Honestly, they're got to learn from their lessons, as I don't see how people could make so many mistakes.

I am done with the stupid and unrealistic plot and I am done with all these first world problems.

In the last book is the PLL series, Hanna, Emily, Aria, and Spencer find themselves in jail, because everyone believes that they killed A

Love it!!!

I was mad, I was confused, I was frustrated and at the very end ...I was in happy tears.

I couldn't have ask more of this book for an ending story, It got me through so many emotions because at this point, I was so in love with every single character and especially with the 4 pretty little liars, that what ever happened to them was hurtful.

I hated Ali with all my heart and I couldn't get to imagine a fair punishment for this crazy girl, and at the same time I wanted to understand her (

I felt truly satisfied after finishing this novel, something I'd never really felt with PLL before. Obviously I enjoyed the series enough to keep reading, but this particular book felt so ... solid. Maybe it was because Sara Shepard wrote it knowing it was the finale.

Part of me is kind of sad to see these characters go considering they've been with me since middle school and I'm in college now. After reading like 16(???) books about them I feel a weird bond with these girls. It does feel really

I feel like that was seriously the perfect ending to this series - but at the same time I feel like it would be easy to Sara to write more. That would be nice. Overall I liked this series. Some character's annoyed me at time. I loved to see the ending on what happened with our lovely liars. Great ending. Everything was wrapped up pretty perfectly.

Aaaaaand scene. I cannot believe the PLL book series is finally finished. I think I bought the first eleven or twelve books a couple years ago. It's sort of like sending a kid off to college... bittersweet. I truly love these characters and I'm so happy the show is so successful so I don't lose these girls all at once.

I think this was a great end to the series, even though, true to Sara fashion, she ended it ambiguously. Ali is one crazy bitch and I could see her getting out of prison. I hope i
The way this ended worries me a little - it feels as if Sara is trying to keep it open so that she can add more to it. What more is there to add?! How could there be any more mishaps, close calls and A notes..?

I hope it's not the way it reads; maybe it's an "open to interpretation" kind of ending!

But I'm finished with the series now... It's been a long time coming but it's done.

Oh my! I have such a love/hate relationship with these books! I truly enjoyed the characters and the storyline. In the middle it kind of drug on and I was like oh no another A, but I felt like it wrapped up nicely and everyone’s story ended happily. I have heard the tv show was completely different so I probably won’t watch. Sara’s books are so much fun!

After 5 years of reading this series, I've finally finished! I know all the things. I know who A is and if after 16 (technically 18) books the ending was worth it.

After being so thoroughly impressed with how Shepard wrapped up her Lying Game series, Vicious was kind of a let down as far as finales go. The climax and big reveal didn't happen until the very end of this book, which made the rest of the book feel too dragged out and slow. I suppose an argument in defense of the pacing could be that

Can't say I'm surprised about any of this: what happened in the back, how quickly I read it, and how everything ended. That kind of predictability turns a lot of people off from books, but I've grown to become so engrossed by Shepard's writing style that I don't care. Sure, this series should basically have a subtitle of "How Many Times Can These Girls Fuck Up?" - but I can't say that I was ever bored. I was never wishing it would just end already like most people. It's kind of difficult for me ...more
This was an okay end to the series, but it didn’t feel like much of an ending!

The girls once again made some suspect decisions in this book, and didn’t seem to realise that they would only get themselves in more trouble by not abiding the rules of their bail! Going after Ali themselves was again not a good idea, and trying to run away wasn’t really a good idea either!

The storyline in this had some real issues again. I just didn’t believe what was going on! (view spoiler)
