Free at Amazon today. I picked it up because the first negative review caught my eye. It said:

"Cheap Porn" 1*

Further on down the line I see: "Sass mouth girl and Dirty mouth boy. Oh boy."

Well these things do not bother me and I grabbed it. Who again says negative comments/reviews hurt books?!

“Think I can give ole’ B.O.B. a run for his money?” He began to move his hips and dipped his head, brushing her lips. “I don’t require replacement batteries.”

Retired from racing Carter finds himself back home, opening up a small automotive repair shop, trying to stay away from the one girl who tempts every bone in his body. Melanie is the best friend of Carter’s younger sister, which makes her in his mind off limits, but a man can only take so much and this lil’ she devil

Sounded promising - turned out it wasn't.

I read up to 32% before calling it a day. The writing was fine but the characters lacked depth and the story was boring

It's no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Marquita Valentine~I simply adore her!! I am always looking forward to her next release and I was so excited for Drive Me Crazy as Melanie and Carter captured my interest in Twice Tempted. I had a feeling that I would love their story and I was so not wrong!! Drive Me Crazy hooked from the start~it was filled with everything that I love in a romance book and look forward to in Marquita's writing. This book is a perfect example of why I continue to be such a ...more

A die-hard fan, if Marquita Valentine's name is on the cover, I already know I'm going to love the book. Drive Me Crazy is no exception! I was thrilled to receive an eARC of this book, and I couldn't wait to dive into it, even though I had other books already lined up.

Welcome back to Holland Springs, this time a few years before Valentine's previous books took place.

Ok, I'm super excited to bring to you a new book from Marquita Valentine (flailing arms). If y'all know me, I love Marquita's writing, and I love when she has a new book to read. This is no exception. Just this morning I finished Drive Me Crazy which happens to be the first book in her new series Going the Distance Series. I don't know how many of you had read the Holland Springs Series, if you have then you would know that Melanie and Carter

Weeeeeell It was a nice book, it intrigued me, made me wanna know what's gonna become of the hero and heroine, but the heroine especially.

- I liked both the hero and heroine, they were good people, the hero was nice and protective but has a bad habit of spouting crap when he can't control his emotions. The heroine was amazing, sweet and sexy, strong and resilient, kind and forgiving, even if the asshole community doesn't know it.

- One thing I hated about this book his how people were talking

I didn't really enjoy it. Again. Sorry. There were a lot of scenes that were confusing and didn't really seem to add up to the story.

If I hadn't read book 0.5, I would probably have stopped after reading this.

Or maybe it would have been more effective as a novella, instead.

I love reading books about small towns I'm not sure why but I do. Carter I loved him, "this man does." Then he said the worst thing possible. "In fact I'd like to see if you have freckles in other places." And when he gets jealous he's not a force to be reckoned with, "jealousy, hot and lethal to his state of mind, coursed through Carter, surprising him with it's intensity. He pulled her to him. Her eyes grew wide, then heavy-lidded. Oh yeah, she cared. So, he leaned down, hovering his mouth ...more

Sorry. This was so not my kind of book, although it seemed to be from the cover description. I am still wondering whether I missed the plot, or whether there was one to begin with to at least connect the - badly written - sex scenes.
In my opinion, the protagonists did not act in a normal way (no one can be that dense and clumsy), there were hints at humour which sadly did not materialise, and as I said, I could not discover a proper storyline.
If you add to that numerous grammar/spelling errors

Fun-to-read sassy and witty romance between a down on his luck racecar driver and the town wild child. It's cute and upbeat and just what a cold dreary day called for. He's the older brother of her best friend and she's had a crush on him since she was in kindergarten. Although his career has stalled, he's still in the fast lane, yet he can't outrun the girl whose held his heart for as long as he can remember.

DNF @ 18%

Both MCS made me extremely irritated. I only read first four chapters before I decided that I already hated this and called quits. I didn't like being in the head of either MCs. So I'm not even going to try and finish this if I am having this feeling this early in the book. I don't know if I will try another book by this author.

This was the first book from this author and it was a DNF for me. I just couldn't make myself read past the immature dialogue at the beginning luckly it was a freebie which made it easier to stop. Just not my kind of book.

I was already on the fence about this one as it was painfully southern. All "honey" and "baby doll" fakeness. But I was trying to give it a shot being that I don't have time to start anything new but the hero acted like a total ass wipe. He jumps her outside in public, opens her clothing despite the cold, then blames her for it. The way he spoke to her was stupid disrespectful but a perfect example of how southern chivalry works. It's a mortal sin to swear in front of a woman but perfectly ok to ...more

Drive Me Marquita Valentine
Here is a novel that totally lives up to it's title. It drove me crazy! In a good way that is.

Holland Springs is the small town that is featured in Ms. Valentine's previous novels. Drive me Crazy focuses on Carter Ambrose and Melanie Ann Smith, and how they got their HEA. Carter is a famous race car driver who had one too many crashes and is now on the sidelines. He has known Melanie since they were children, his sister Zoe is Melanie's best friend.

I found this book by accident and I must say it was a pleasant surprise. Melanie has been sweet on Carter since they were kids. But since Melanie was Carter’s younger sister’s best friend, she was off limits. The problem, he’s having a rough time keeping her in the friend category.

Through in Carter’s ex-finance, a career move that could have him moving back to Charlotte and nothing is as it seems. And that’s just on Carter’s side of the equations when’s he’s not sticking his foot in his mouth.

Well, this book was ok but there are some things that prevent it from getting a better rate by me.
First, the characters are not developed enough before they start making out. I found it hard to believe that they know each other since 16 years (and secretly be in love with each other the whole time) but not sensing the other one's feelings - but where would the drama be otherwise?
Also, the mother of the MC's best friend since she's 8 years, is treating her like white trash although she nearly

I didn't end up finishing this one. I felt the characters were shallow and the story just wasn't for me. I have liked this author in the past so, I will try her again but this one was not to my liking. If all you're looking for is steam and sex then give it a try, she is a good writer, but I like a little more substance to my plot.

I am a NASCAR fan and gave this book a chance. I found this book quite enjoyable. Melanie has been in live with Carter her whole life and is finally making a play for him. He comes from money and she doesn't. Carter keeps doing and saying the wrong things but he loves her but it takes him awhile to figure it out. The story is well done and I enjoyed every step and misstep carter makes throughout.

This book was a really easy read, it was funny, and cute and the chemistry between Carter and Melanie was amazing. I have chemistry like that in my own life and I definitely can relate to feeling love/lust, and all the other amazing things that come along with being in a relationship.

A cute short story with believable, vulnerable characters who have their heads turned by someone they hadn't considered. A small town romance that is full of fun, spunk, and will have you laughing and crying and wanting to read more in the series.

This story of a girl in love with her best friend's brother is one of the sweetest books I have read recently. Their relationship is addictive to read about. I am so glad I found this book and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Loved it

This was a great story. It made me laugh and it was sexy. Carter and Melanie were adorable together even though it took dimwitted Carter a minute to stop fighting it. I didn’t like how Melanie so easily thought so little of her self but it didn’t help that Carter unwittingly kept saying things to feed into her negative image of herself. When Carter did get it together he was sweet as pie, key lime pie. You’ll have to read the book to understand that comment I loved all of the characters

The story between Melanie and her dad could have been detailed more. I find myself wondering why Melanie allows him to use her. It seems like there was a reason but it's never talked about.

I liked Melanie and Carter maybe 50% of the time. All of their problems were caused by lack of communication. For me if that happens too many times it's a deal breaker.

There was enough of a teaser interest me in the next book of the series, and the writing was well enough that I
